Why is 102 going to West Camp road? There is not much demand there. It could have looped at Jalan Kayu. I believe it will connect Buangkok MRT to Sengkang West Way BTOs. Another MRT alternative!?!
Or does it go via Buangkok Green to YCK road and then follows 103 to Jalan Kayu.. but that would be too much duplication.
now i know why service 103 is routed to Ave 11.
- A new childcare centre is being built
- A new hawker centre in the area has recently been called for a tender.
Thus, due to development of facilities, service 806's loading will increase and thus they introduced a new service 103 for Ave 11
Joo Koon interchange opening up as part of BSEP?

if it's "diverted", I think I know already. quite likely it's the ones we have already predicted many months ago. still think there will be a few that will remain at Boon Lay leh...
anyway, I guess the new routes may be part of BSEP.
I doubt anyone would take 103 from Serangoon to Yishun. [Would be better off taking 853 or 854, fastest]
However I feel 103's loading will increase from Yishun into Seletar Aerospace Park as commuters will not need to take 858 to transfer at Jalan kayu for 103 then into Seletar Aerospace Park
There are rumours that 103 might be given DDs. I am not sure lol.
If that's the case why 39 not given DDs yet?
Im more worried about the traffic condition inside yishun int when 103 is extended there, it will be another Tampines when 4 and 20 was introduced

So far boon lay int is the worst
Bedok and WRI also

Boon Lay I think the worst section is Jalan Boon Lay (both ends; from RV & from the factories), Boon Lay Way (between Jalan Boon Lay and Jurong Point), Jurong West Central 2 and all the way to the end-on berths. it takes like around ten minutes for the bus to arrive at the bus interchange from the last bus stop.
the factory side of Jalan Boon Lay experiences heavy traffic congestions in the evening on weekdays. this is on top of the around ten minutes I mentioned. imagine spending around half an hour to almost one hour inside the bus just to wait for the bus to get to the bus interchange...
let's not talk about the occassional jams inside the end-on berths.
the other section which is towards the sawtooth berth still can. recently observed the time a bus went from the slip road beside Frontier library to the bus interchange in the morning at around 7am. that time I was on my way to school. timing was around three minutes. if from MRT tracks side I think it's around five minutes.
I think one solution for the end-on berths buses is to re-route the return leg of some routes to return via Jalan Boon Lay and Jurong West Central 3.

WRI is due to 902. The spam of A22s is more of a concern.
Bedok is too small.
Route Amendment of service 972 will start on 14 June 2015. Affected commuters can commute on service 922 instead
Desto-less DM3500 (not on trg) spotted turning left into Seletar North Link from Yishun Dam with busload of folks - 103 orientation? Ard 6pm
Is it just me or is LTA finally looking at longer-distance trunk services instead of just feeders? As seen from 103 and romoured 102
It may be just you. But the current flavour of the newly introduced services lean heavily towards shorter routes.
This is in sync with the tune of hub-spoke and last-mile concepts.

2761A and 2766L deployed yesterday.
LTA still creating short trunks. However, seems more of route extensions recently, which brings benefit to current commuters

I think the route extensions are more beneficials than just short trunks as it improves connectivity and travel without transfer.
Like instead of 122, would have preferred if it were an extension of existing service like 121 to terminate at Buona Vista instead of going to NBR.
