11, 103 full fleet have
386 need wait for final route confirmation first
Notice SBST like to have service which ply same route twice eg using plates to differentiate..

I think only those that calls at specific bus stops in both directions (such at 155 plying MacPherson estate twice in its route and buses serving St. Michael's calling Jln Bahagia bus stops in both directions) need the plates to differentiate. I find no reason for 11, 103 and 386 to use them when the bus stops were already differentiated themselves.

11 and 103 has them to reduce confusion. Based on experience, 11 first day of extension many ppl board wrong side until they had to make temporary blue and orange desto which was removed after that. After few months then red and white desto was launched
173 does staggered stops in Hillview area but no problem so far.

49 also have..Now 142 also wanna start..It will be disaster if the BCs forgot to flip the plate
Tbh the EDS shows the destination clearly only looping svcs need them
Like eg > Yishun Temp Int / > Serangoon is clear enough..
Now to think of it: Service 102 makes logical sense. It could be a new service for Sengkang West Way which BTO will open in Q3 this year. Will post route suggestion ltr
All, anybody expect any announcement this week (22 June to 26 June) in time for a 12 July launch for new service? Cheers. Thanks.

Probably new service in August, seeing recent trend of 1 minth planning + training, 2 months intro. (exception of April where 301/983 was pushed, leaving 0 services for May)
when 102 launch? no news of new bus service for smtime now. last svc launch 301/983?
and yes 103 ext.

very much possible. I think as well they will launch some new services during SG50.
I am actually looking forward to see the route re-haul in JIS with opening of Joo Koon Interchange. Hope they have done good ground work and doesn't throw us with shocks.
I wont be suprised if there is only 4 JIS,185,502 and a new svc covering missing link start from Joo Koon given the limited spacing at Joo Koon..Probably wont see 502 there also

I would prefer 502 end at Boon Lay Interchange. But then connections between St 64/75 and Ave 5/Pioneer Rd North loses access to only service to town..
why u wan change 502. can stay at slbp. so also 185.
So any news on 102, 164 or 357 yet?

Should be out next week latest I guess.. in time for SG50 celebrations.
According to Public Transport SG WordPress page, there will be a new service 71. However 102, 164 and 357 are not there
Hopefully not a bloody winding service,I dont mind a long distance trunk though but if like svc 28 style winding through Tampines like merry go round then good luck

As one who used to take svc 28 almost daily, I can say 28 has its own purpose. It's definitely not meant for you to take from Tampines Int to Bedok etc, it's more like a feeder from Tampines Int to Ave 9/St 45 and a trunk from Ave 9/St 45/Ave 2 to Bedok and beyond

That is why new bus svc need not be like old winding service.
