From DDs on both these services, now residents will have to use City Direct Service buses. Both 850E and 951E were doing very well.
In fact, we wanted 850E to become full day service and now its route has been cut :(
not sure why there is a big fuss over the amendment? if after amendment, there is no bus service to travel the original bus stops, then ppl should complain.. now there are still bus services (although they are SDs) overall, the capacity did not decrease.. LTA obviously have the data of how many paxes are boarding at these bus stops...

Resources freed up from 850E and 951E can be used in other SMRT bus services during peak hours.

Hi mr TIB1112L, now that September is ending soon and October is coming, any changes to the date for implementation for sbs 117? Last time you say October 11 still holds true? Cheers. Thanks.

So 983 gets extended in both directions?

Actually it makes sense to have 983G/W, with one plying CCK - BPJ - Yew Tee - CCK and the other one CCK - Yew Tee - BPJ - CCK.

Rather jus have BPJ - Keat Hong - CCK - Yew Tee - CCK - Keat Hong - BPJ.

How come still have to route through CCK central? Now Yew Tee residents have to compete with the Ave 5 residents to BPJ MRT, not efficient at all.
Still in favour of a direct service, BPJ - Woodlands Rd - KJE - Yew Tee.
Will Service 164 be introduced?

Then this will no longer be a direct service from Yew Tee to Bukit Panjang. No different from taking 302/307 then change to LRT/190/975.
I always thought that if they extended 983 it will be this:
CCK -> CCK Ave 5 -> Bukit Panjang -> KJE -> Yew Tee -> KJE -> Bukit Panjang -> CCK Ave 5 -> CCK

Thinking of it.. I quite like the route you have proposed.. direct connectivity to new BPJ MRT from both Keat Hong and Yew Tee... For those who want to go to CCK, still have 302/307.
99 seems more or less confirmed to Joo Koon

i think this one is the best so far.. doesn't really matter if it's round route because either way there's 302/307 to go CCK faster.
In all honesty, unlike LTA press release, Q4 might see following service updates:
- 49 to Jurong East (Lake district service)
- 99 to Joo Koon (Clementi, Jurong West)
- Joo Koon restructuring
- 983 in Dec to BPJ area...
117 might be introduced in Nov or Dec...
All other services mentioned will roll into 2016.
