Joo Koon Int is still the one big transport event near his house ... it's hard for a diehard fan like him not to be excited lol. Likewise is DTL2 opening for me.
Guess we can expect the commotion to die down by around February next year.
Apparently, it seems that now is only about Joo Koon Bus Interchange. After Joo Koon Bus Interchange fully opens on 12 December 2015, then will have new bus services at other areas.
Who knows maybe the extension of 983 to Bukit Pajang may coincide with the opening of DTL2 on 27 December 2015 - via a route which may be amended slightly when the new roads at CCK open?
The possible extension of 49 to Jurong East may take place between 12 December and 27 December. If in between, 19 December is likely. I do not think it will happen now. I acknowledge that the poster is real, but any changes may happen since it has been taken down. For all we know, the date has been postponed as they want to settle Joo Koon Bus Interchange first.
Whereas for the other new bus services, it's probably postponed to next year.
If they want, they can introduce a new bus service once a week after Joo Koon Bus Interchange opens, until all the planned new bus services have been introduced.
One week after 27 December is 2 January. After that, it's 9, 16, 23 and 30 January.
That time how many new bus services did they say will be introduced ah? Seven right? If one week introduce one new bus service, I think before February every new bus service would be introduced already.
501 and 503 will be introduced in 7 December 2015

It is interesting to see two new bus services launched on two consecutive days - 258 on 21 November and 49 on 22 November.
If the subsequent new bus services have already been planned and already have buses deployed, I guess they will be launched back-to-back also. One on Saturday, one on Sunday.
So where are those people who say that 49 extension is just a rumour? Or those people who say that it will be delayed till December?

Wrong. New services are (almost) always launched on Sundays. Joo Koon Int services are the only exceptions recently. I guess it's to minimise impact on commuters by giving them one whole weekend to know the new routes and to adjust their travelling patterns.

Who knows, just like 386 at Punggol, 49 at Jurong will get another round of free rides when it is extended, since it's also another BSEP new service? :)Originally posted by SBS2652G:theres a (2013) behind 49 for a reason
