Hi mr busanalyser, hope this time round, they give one of the most direct routes to destinations in north. Not roundabout way. Cheers. Thanks.
Had meeting with LTA recently. Our residents can look forward to new bus service calling at bus stops along Yishun Ave 1 taking them to Khatib MRT soon!
these are the hints

As I said, should be the much awaited 117 via SAP, Yishun ave 1 to Khatib.
All, two new plaques have just been installed at berth B2 and berth B4 at Punggol bus interchange. So there will be enough slots for 3 new services at berth B2, B3, B4. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr busanalyser, hard to say. May still go through Punggol way to sengkang east Rd to sengkang west ave to sengkang west rd to TPE to seletar west link to to yishun ave 1. This will be much longer than Punggol way to seletar north link to seletar west link to yishun ave 1. What I have actually meant is hope they do not plan another long route to khatib. Cheers. Thanks.

They shouldn't route it that way, and I don't think that will happen. There is already sv 85.
Also someone had reported here that there are new bus stops at Nibong MRT. Another sign of how the route could go?!!?

Should be by Punggol way towards seletar north link to seletar west link to yishun Ave 1 to yishun Ave 2 (passing by khatib mrt) then continue to sembawang. If skip the whole sengkang west area, then sengkang west residents may feel slightly aggrieved. Anyway sengkang has 161 to woodlands and 85 to yishun area and 965 to both. Cheers. Thanks.
Proposal for route 47
Changi Business Park >> Xilin Ave >> Tanah Merah MRT >> Bedok North Road >> Bedok North Ave 2 >> Bedok North St 3 >> Bedok North Ave 1 >> Chai Chee St >> Chai Chee Rd >> New Upper Changi Rd >> Changi Rd >> Still Road >> Koon Seng Rd >> Joo Chiat Rd >> Marine Parade Rd (Parkway Parade) - looping point.
* Connects Changi Biz Park to TNM MRT and Bedok north estate
* Connects Bedok North Estate (225 route) to Tanah Merah MRT, Chai Chee, Changi Rd/Kembangan
* First trunk route for Chai Chee connecting to amenities in Bedok North, Tanah Merah, Kembangan, Marine Parade
* First route to ply Koon Seng Rd, and connect shophouses/residential complex along Koon Seng/Joo Chiat to Parkway Parade
Proposal 2: Would be to extend service from Marine Parade to Stadium via Mountbatten Rd connecting to Stadium, Sports Complex, Kallang Wave, Kallang Leisure Park

Highly doubt it will do Sengkang. There is 85/965.
Proposal for route 118
Changi Business Park >> Expo Halls >> ITE >> Changi Gen Hospital >> Tampines Ave 1 (SAFRA, Temasek Poly) >> Tampines Ave 10 >> TPE stop >> Punggol Rd >> Punggol Field >> Punggol Way (Soo Teck) >> Punggol Central >> Punggol Interchange
* First service to connect Changi Biz Park, Expo Halls, ITE, Temasek to NEL (Punggol). TPE Interchange stop will help pax to transfer to Yishun/Woodlands/Hougang
* Relieve loading on sv 27/34 as today many students from Temasek will take sv 15/23 and crossover to these services at Tampines Ave 5
* Connects new Punggol West district with Punggol road and TPE Interchange stop (no service today). This will help facilitate smooth transfers for people living in Punggol West Town, who have to go to Punggol Interchange to crossover.

could do Yishun ave 2 and then go straight to Sembawang via future Canberra MRT.

Information leak, or suggestion?

bus stops along Punggol Way
Yishun Ave 1 to MRT link
Drove past punggol way today, didnt see any new bus stops at Nibong LRT. Maybe i missed them? However, there are new bus stops along Yishun Ave 1 at the following locations:
Outside blk 816/817 (but no reciprocal bus stop opposite)
Opposite blk 870 (there is alr existing 811 bus stop outside blk 870)
Outside the Miltonia condos, a pair for both directions
There isnt any matching reciprocal bus stop opposite blk 437 (which 804 does have an existing stop outside blk 437) but theres a bunch of construction vehicles and workers there so maybe the bus stop is being constructed.
Note that all the new bus stops are of the temporary type with the orange and light yellow pvc top.
Changi Business Park >> Xilin Ave >> Tanah Merah MRT >> Bedok North Road >> Bedok North Ave 2 >> Bedok North St 3 >> Bedok North Ave 1 >> Chai Chee St >> Chai Chee Rd >> New Upper Changi Rd >> Changi Rd >> Still Road >> Koon Seng Rd >> Joo Chiat Rd >> Marine Parade Rd (Parkway Parade) - looping point.

This route has many merits but I doubt this is a leak as there have been no official announcements on CBP.
But I would prefer the following:
Service 47 (CBP - Eunos)
CBP > Xilin Av > Tanah Merah MRT > Bedok Nth Rd > Bedok Nth Av 2 > Bedok Nth St 3 > Bedok Nth Av 1 > Chai Chee St > Chai Chee Dr > Changi Rd > Jalan Kembangan (U-turn at roundabout) > Frankel Av > East Coast Rd > Siglap Rd > Marine Parade Rd > Joo Chiat Rd > Koon Seng Rd > Still Rd > Chagi Rd > Jln Turi > Eunos Int.
1. Chai Chee Dr - This area is actually closest to Kembangan MRT and would make most sense connecting since it is Kembangan is nearer, instead of all the back-tracking from Bedok Int. This will also help to improve connectivity to areas such as Waringin Park which are quite far from Kembangan MRT.
2. Jalan Kembangan - Provides Kembangan Estate connections to amenities along Marine Parade Rd and CBP. While this would be an inconvenience to Chai Chee residents heading to Marine Parade, I believe it would be a minor one and in fact benefit Chai Chee residents as there will be a more direct connection the station compared with stopping at Masjid Kassim. CBP and Eunos bound buses will spot different coloured plates.
3. Frankel Av/East Coast Rd/Siglap Rd - Service 42 is such a waste of time given the trip inside Opera Estate, the 3-point turn at Aida St (what a graceful sight) and serves such a limited stretch of Frankel Av. Residents of Frankel Estate, Bowmont Gardens, Siglap Ctr, Keris Estate, East Coast Terrace, Ocean Park, Mandarin Gardens & Neptune Court will all save taxi money with bus access to Kembangan MRT. This will also better link Chai Chee, Kembangan Estate and Marine Parade with amenities in Siglap.
4. Marine Parade Rd - Schools are a big draw along Marine Parade Rd. This service will link Victoria Sch (to some extent), Victoria JC, Ngee Ann Pri, CHIJ KC (Pri & Sec), St Pat's and Tao Nan Sch with residents of Koon Seng, Siglap & Frankel, Kembangan & Chai Chee - links which do not exist today.
5. Koon Seng Rd to Eunos - This just makes more sense. Koon Seng to Kembangan is already served by Service 33 through Joo Chiat Place, and really it's not a fantastic MRT connection given the sheer amount of back-tracking. Eunos is much more logical.
Perhaps a 47M service could be introduced for higher demand between Bedok Nth Rd & CBP.
OT, if tt 47 comes true, its an extension of the long proposed 41 fr Kembangan to M Parade
Anyways, if that is really 47 according to mrbusanalyser it really won't do much enhancing for Marine Parade and really will just be a boon for Bedok Nth/Tanah Merah to CBP. The Marine Parade link is very weak bcos it only serves Parkway. Chai Chee ppl might as well transfer at Bedok to 16, 196 or 197. The Kembangan estate link will be quite weak also bcos it only plys Changi Rd/Sims. There may be some demand from the fringes of Siglap and Frankel by residents who stay closer to those roads. Telok Kurau already has 15 which is very frequent. And the Koon Seng to Kembangan link is just duplicutous. Honestly, the area needs a better EWL link.

mine is just a suggestion - the route could be very different. But I feel all of Marine Parade is not really necessary. There are too many routes connecting Bedok to all of Marine Parade.
Let's take a look: 16, 31, 196, 197 all do Bedok MRT... and you have other services like 10, 12, 14, 40, 48 connecting Marine Parade/East Coast Road to different parts of Bedok/Tanah Merah estate.
So where is the scope to introduce a new unique bus route along Marine Parade.
If it is a Marine Parade service, it should be something connecting Marine Parade to Joo Chiat/Koon Seng/Haig for it to be different.
I strongly hope it does Chai Chee/Bedok st 3 as both have only feeder service and would be good to have a trunk and connect to nearby Kembangan/Tanah Merah MRT for these highly populous estates.
Looking forward to see the route of sv 47.
Hi mrbusanalyser,
I think you misread my suggestion.
I completely agree with you on Chai Chee/St 3 and the connection between Koon Seng & M Parade. If you read my suggestion carefully, all these connections I have retained and enhanced. There's no way that I am proposing better Tanah Merah to M Parade/East Coast connections. I am also not proposing a bedok int-M Parade svc. Those links are there.Yes, there are many Bedok-M Parade connections but there are no Chai Chee/Kembangan M Parade connections which both of us agree should exist. I am merely making it stronger by serving a wider array of amenities along Marine Parade. Not serving the schools is like turning away customers. I am also strengthening the Kembangan to Frankel/East Coast/Siglap connection which does not exist. Yes there is Svc 42. It is a silly route that only serves Opera Estate very properly and small sections of Siglap/Frankel after it does a big loop at Fidelio St.
Let's hope Svc 47 will make our wishes come true.
Cheers
2016 should see a lot of changes in BPJ/CCK town.
1. Feeder service 305 for CCK Ave 7 / CCK Grove
2. Sv 700 should be extended to CCK Interchange via CCK Ave 1/3 to connect to Orchard/CBD/BPJ MRT (the load has faded away after introduction of 972)
3. Short trunk connecting Yew Tee to BPJ MRT, preferably will go further down to Bukit Batok (hopefully it is full day 177 extended to serve YT)
4. Diversion of one of the BPJ/Upper Bukit Timah/Hillview services such as 176 or 970 to do Dairy Farm / Chestnut before terminating at BPJ to connect the new condos around this area to BPJ MRT or Hillview MRT.
5. Would be good if sv 990 is extended to terminate at BPJ via Bukit Gambok, Brickland road, CCK Ave 7/CCK Grove to provide direct MRT connectivity for these HDB blocks.
I doubt CCK got anymore space to take anymore service. Its already congested after 301 n 983 was introduced.
