Nobody goes to CBP on Sundays. Shud be better tmr ba. Throngs of bank and IT workers.
2004C on 47 with 03 pax. Observed at Marine Parade road, not CBP
Guys - relax. I am just reporting what I am spotting. I don't expect any route to be full in first month of operation.
Hope that 48 will terminate at CBP and the loss route to Bndep is covered by a new short trunk..

Svc 118 will be booming once poly holidays are over.
Expect svc 27, 34 and 168's loadings to decrease slightly. Currently a lot of students from Woodlands, Yishun, Sengkang and Punggol take these buses and transfer to 15/23/69.
add on, 47's passengers will increase when more pple use it fr Katong SC, Holy Fam bus stops use it to ret to M Parade area, quite sim to CSS608

Not just that ITE also.

Hi mr Gemsdare, it is ironic that it takes so long to get another bus service to relieve the student load for ITE. Hope with sbs 118 introduction, we can see loading for Sbs 31A being reduced although the routes are different. Should have some spill over effect. Cheers. Thanks.

I saw like 2 DDs today on 47... Majority SD.
117 is a mix of SD and DD in about 1:1 ratio.
118 is almost full fleet DD. Only saw one SD if I'm not wrong.
Later I'll check my photos to see the fleet.

31A to Tampines may be reduced a bit.. But I doubt loading to Tanah Merah will drop so much.

Normally during weekends should have more pax, lots of people go to east coast rd. Cause people from marine parade board at blk 57, blk 34 and opp sides...in both directions use to have css608.
Could amend 853C to ply east coast side like current 47 route in both directions and turn back to marine parade rd at chij pri, tao nan junction. No alternatives since css608 was withdrawn.
47 loading may be worth monitoring once school term starts

Hopefully, by then, this 118 frequency would be better. (After TP vacation)
Ever rode Sv904 during it's first few days of svc..during sch days..freq was terrible haha. 2 964 = 1 904. Driver travelling slowly also.

what is css608?

You remember, last time sec three social studies, got teach about ERP, COE and Park-and-Ride? If I remember correctly, it is one of the first few chapters.
In this Park-and-Ride scheme, car parks are provided for drivers to park their car at somewhere outside the city area, and bus services are provided for them to take bus into the city. These bus services were known as "City Shuttle Services" (CSS).
However, there was poor response to the Park-and-Ride scheme and the demand for the CSS bus services was low. After a while, many CSS bus services were removed. CSS608 (City Shuttle Services bus service 608) was probably one of those that survived. Those that survived were subsequently absorbed by TIBS/SMRT, but eventually withdrawn by year 2007.
but does that mean the Park-and-Ride scheme is not successful? no. although it was not successful in the past, it may be of good use now or in the future~
which is true la. nowadays there are more cars on the roads and MRT more crowded. who knows, we may see the revival of City Shuttle Services in future, and for all we know, the demand would be high enough to sustain them?

I guess this would be the Seletar Aerospace Area/West Camp side or Yishun Ave 1/Ave 6 area? Quite a few tree branches protruding out...
