Service 134
Sims Place to Marine Cres (loop)
Wise of LTA to utilise Sims Place...Now private vehicles got no chance to park illegally at the end lots.

What about sv 76 amendment?
I think 134 may get DDs even though route is short as 76 needed DDs between Paya Lebar MRT and Marine Terrace, moreover I expect 134 frequency to be lower than sv 76.

Your post really gave me a shock. How can an airport service get a full DD fleet?
Then, I realised that it was a typo. It should have been 134.

Provides direct connectivity between Kallang Wave Mall, Kallang Leisure Park, Stadium, Sports Complex to HDBs/condos along Fort/Mountbatten/Marine Parade area
Marine Parade has an assortment of shopping amenities that are duplicated at Kallang Wave/Leisure Park. The only useful connection would be to the SportsHub which can be comfortably reached via the national stadium bus stop along Nicoll Highway using 16 or 196. Similarly, residents of Mountbatten Road can reach the SportsHub area via Nicoll Highway on 14 or 196, or, for Fort Road HDB residents, can walk along the Geylang Park Connector. Shopping amenities can also be reached in Marine Parade/Katong via 12, 14 and 196.
Provides Tanjong Rhu residents more reliable connection to Geylang, Stadium than sv 11 (operating at 18-20 min frequency) as well as new connection to Parkway Parade, Parkway Hospital East, Eunos
Tanjong Rhu to Aljunied is already provided via 158. Transfers are available to Geylang along Sims Av. Anyways, connections between Tanjong Rhu and Eunos/Geylang would not attract that much demand with all honesty, so a direct connection is not necessary.
I concede that Marine Parade has many schools that would attract students living in Tanjong Rhu. However, this can already be made via both 11 and 158 by transfering to 16, 31 and 196 at Mountbatten. It's quite good that residents can rely on more than one service. Beyond this, shopping amenities are already available at SportsHub (which brings me to my next point), so there's no need to go to Parkway Parade. The majority of condominiums are within a short walk to SportsHub via Geylang River footbridge. This in turn also explains 11's poor loading. So increased frequency may to Stadium may not be very necessary.
Saving wasted resources as sv 11 loading continues to be poor, though provides unique connection bet Stadium MRT and Tanjong Rhu (20-25 pax) and Stadium MRT to Geylang (10-15 pax). With sv 15 at better frequency and longer route, loading can be expected to improve.
I agree though that given the population of Tanjong Rhu, having 2 higher frequency services makes sense. It would be much more beneficial to extend service 11 to Sims Place as this would actually create useful new links for Sims Dr and directly serve Geylang Rd to Stadium. (refer to my service 11 extension in route suggestions).
Ultimately, your route would be extremely duplicative of 12, 14 and 196 along Mountbatten Road, and would merely enhance existing connections already provided by an assortment of services. The unique sectors, namely Tanjong Rhu to Marine Parade may be useful. However, I feel this sector is subordinate to other needs in the area such as Koon Seng Rd, Haig Rd, Kembangan etc, areas which have limited/no bus service. Thus, I feel the current services are adequate enough to serve this sector.
Commuters staying at Tanjong Rhu ve to transfer using 11,158,158A to 10,14,16,196...
Suggestions to ve special departures(2/3 trips at 15 mins interval beginning 0745) from Tanjong Rhu to Shenton Way AM Peak(158P) n vice versa (2/3 trips at 15mins interval fr 1815) PM peak(158S) flatly rejected, reason commuters to tfr...
Implementing 158P/S can use existing 158A ... LTA is still at Baby steps when implementing properly thoughout bus routes, in addition of political reasons for certain services to appear...

Typo, v clearly, its a reply to 2652's post.
DDs at airport can be implemented if boarding/alighting point is changed to the front of departure halls of T1,2,3.

I came out with my own deployment of 134, with 2 SDs and 10 DDs. (I don't know whether it really needs full fleet DD or not.)
In my deployment, it uses only non-BSEP buses from Loyang GCM routes though (except SBS3820G).

Ok. Makes sense, coz the loading is quite heavy between Paya Lebar and Marine Parade. But what's happening to 76?
I believe LTA has studied the card reader and realized there is no one or very very few people from AMK Ave 3 onwards who go beyond Paya Lebar. Coz with 76 modification, Parkway Parade / Tanjong Katong missed direct connection to AMK town.
Is it just me or is 134 merely a disappointment? If the whole point of having 134 is to split up 76, with little creation of new links (except Sims Place/Geylang East Ctrl), without any change in 76's original route, this is really not necessary.

12 is really a lot of buses for a v short route, as said if looking at 155 loading at Geylang East to PYL, it tells a clear picture...
sv36 w a much longer route has 18 buses.
LTA muz learn not to leave buses parking at the ter/int during peak, its not efficient.
Folks who have been overseas wld b able to observe dwell time during peak is v short...

76 also will be modified for sure - I just don't want it to terminate at Eunos. That will be hopeless given there is 24 in parallel all the way from Boundary with 28, 154, 155 joining along the way to connect Paya Lebar and Eunos too.
76 IMO should go to Lor 1 Geylang, given that there is no connection b/w Paya Lebar MRT and Geylang Estate.

POLITICAL reason... it makes no sense other than to the MP n LTA's meeting ev quarter have new route...
Written in BSEP thread, there r areas in SG tt still lack a fast BUS connection w/o making more than 2/3 transfers...

Wic part of Geylang Estate?

Following your logic, LTA should have studied the card reader when it decided to "split up" 189. But no - in fact there are a lot of people transfering from 189 to 201 at Clementi and vice versa.
Plus, I don't think demand from Marine Parade & Marine Terrace to Paya Lebar / Tai Seng / AMK is that low. And 43 doesn't serve Marine Terrace.
If let's say 76 is split up because of the loop nature that affects frequency, I can understand. But if LTA uses "card reader data" as an excuse to split, shorten, or even withdraw some services, that's really nonsense.

Does Lor 1 Geylang have space? If yes, then 62 should have terminated there long time ago, or at least when the terminal was modified to allow DDs...
Marine Terrace is 3 mins stroll to M Parade Rd bus stop(near NPC)...

Oops... The route looks longer than it really is when I saw the post stated above.

Haha, very similar to my proposed 126 (Sims Pl <> Eunos via Marine Parade)
Route length about 16 km. So fleet maybe around 8-10 buses because it will likely be quite high in demand (so high frequency) given its many unique sectors, plus direct connection for Marine Terrace. I don't think it will be full DDs probably split between 5-5 SD/DD. But I am not in the know of the new registrations so I cannot tell.
More importantly, 76? Geylang Lor 1 got no space. Sims Pl will be good since there is no connection from Geylang Rd to Paya Lebar. A connection to Tg Katong Rd > East Coast Rd> Still Rd > Eunos will also be good. The latter though will be just nice given the current fleet as it is about the same as the loop to Marine Terrace, though with the former excess fleet will definitely need to be transfered.
If it is truncated at Eunos via Sims Av, which seem most likely given LTA, will definitely have excess fleet? Anyone know where fleet will be transfered?

Parkway Parade already has 135 to AMK Hub. In fact, I'd rather 135 had been amended to Marine Tce and 76 made to terminate at UEC at the start (with the latter swapping the Tg Katong sector with the Sims Ave & Still Rd sector of Route 13).
Most likely a fleet change for 76 as it may become a BSEP service
