I hope 969 will get. Or 800/804/806.

Aiyo such a waste put on trunk svc,Let Wldep take over Yishun la and Amdep can wait for Seletar depot before taking over.
today saw 8002 on 854
Ive got a feeling only feeders will use bendy,Intratowns with the exception of 307 will use DDs instead..Most to most they will order another 40 units
Actually I doubt so. The only difference between the intra town and the feeder is that the intra town has 2 loops instead of the 1 for feeder and this is what makes the route longer. But majoirty of the people use the intratown as a feeder anyway because it takes quite a long time to travel between the 2 loops. So using DD on intratown and Bendy on feeder wont be very logical by SMRT. I believe Intratowns will still use bendys but the short routes like 860, 962, 964 etc. might see DDs.
But the way in which SMRT has been deploying its A24s, I think SMRT is still doing loading tests and efficiency of the Bendy vs DD on its trunk services. If not I dont see why SMRT will keep the 2 A24s on 190 for so long...
Dont be suprised if only feeder get bendy buses..Furthermore its only 40 + 1 units..SMRT might deploy DDs on intratowns..If they keen on using bendy for feeders/Intratown they should have order 100 units of A24s not 40..By logic those 40 only for 300,302,800,804,806,900,901,903 & probably 945.
Yeah they will order 100 if they wanted to retire the old Bendys early. The 40 A24s were part of the renewal plan up till end 2016. THe MKII Bendys and Habits/Volgrens will still be around then and SMRT cant buy more unless it wants early retirement of these buses. But symptoms of refurbishments and ongoing refurbishments indicate they wont face early retirement (not until end 2016). They havent announced further purchases yet but the same goes for the DDs. The 200 E500s are definitely not going to have excess spill over into intratowns and there is no news or further DD purchases too. Even if they purchase more DDs and annouce it, it probably will only suffice usage on trunks.
SMRT is waiting for the cat and mouse game as everybody know..The only orders i can think of now is for the new PB MAN A95s...Theyre keen on waiting LTA to order more Enviro500s and possibly a small amount of Bsep A24s..That if they won Bulim contract..
SMB8004Y >> 806

Intratowns runtime and feeder runtime is different,291 complete journey is around 58 mins as compared with 241...For short feeders like 225 imagine how much fuel is wasted if the DDs keep on stop/start the engine?Might as well be like Intratown where they spend 25-30 mins on one loop then enter Int pick up pax go another 25-30mins for another loop..811,812,911,912 & 913 routes is justified for DDs..300,302,800,804,806,900,901,902,903,920 and 945 is suitable for bendy fleets
For a start 8002 & 8004 should perm on svc 800 alongside with 2 BSEP A22s and 3 Habit Bendy,You got WAB status liao

3 A22 + 2 Taros + 4 OCs = WAB with 2 crossover habits from 804/806 in AM/PM Peak
the A24s could do 806 with some E50s. 811 could up its A22 to E50s.
920 no need bendies unless BPLRT broke down.
Pls no DDs for 806 no matter how high the loading is..Wasted sial..Unless Yishun is SBST territory
I agree about the Intratown runtime part BUT the loading patterns of intratown is very similar to feeders. People board and alight within a few stops and so upper deck will be quite empty atleast for 811, 812, 913. 911 and 912 and I dunno the route. Plus given the boarding and alighting activity at each stop a DD is going to be quite alot slower than a bendy. which is why I would feel bendy still suits intratowns as long as its with SMRT.
