8007 is amdep - on 851 today.
As expected AMDEP is getting bulk of new bendies, and it deserves since WL and KJ got the DDs.

Except 8006 and 8007, no two MAN bendies have been registered on the same day.
Why are they being registered one by one, at a snail's pace?

The only available space is at Woodlands Bus Park,Kranji and Ang Mo Kio cannot afford to spare parking spaces for these long buses unless they transfer some buses to Wldep

He should have observed that many bendies have been registered in the same order, not just the MANs...
SMRT cant registered too many buses at one time like SBST,Their depots isnt big enough..
From 14 June 2015, services 106, 190, 301, 804, 911, 963, 983 will be declared WAB..

Expect more A22 on feeder svc,How on earth they wanna declared WAB with only 41 A24s?I predict they will order another 60 units and that would be the last bendy purchased ever in Sg..
On a summary
300 and 302 need 9 units each,800 need 4,806 need 9,811 need 7,812 need 6
900 and 901 need 4 each,903 need 8,912 need 10 and 913 need at least 9..Thats 79 units after 804 & 911..Each depot need at least 3-4 spare units..101 units just so-so..

Expect more A22s, and Citaros and KUBs to be used in future for these feeder services in futur, after the last 40 bendy buses are scrapped.
With the influx of Citaros and A22s, and probably more single deckers in the coming years, there is probably going to have a fleet increase for these services, mainly to increase the frequencies of these feeders which is comparable to SBS Transit feeders.
And not to mention, new services to be introduced to spread out the loads to these new services, but providing new links with these new services.

deploy DD on those WDL/CCK/YIS feeders loh... SMRT say that bendies more suitable for feeders, but LTA will taking over all the assets and doing the purchase/deployment from 2016. so if LTA want to put DD on YIS/WDL/CCK feeders, SMRT (as a operator) also LL must deploy mah...

I would rather see custom 3 door 12.8m DDs replace all those bendy buses
As lemon said.. now that LTA is going to own all buses.. I think this batch of A24s is the last bendy batch... Singapore will see in a long long time... Very soon I expect DDs to start on SMRT feeders/intra-towns.
Anyway 983 that behaves like a feeder has taken very well with DDs... in fact now you can see 983 packed and upper deck doing well... 301 on the other hand has failed to attract many pax.. ofcourse this is in comparison to 300 and 983... 301 still gets goor 30-40 pax but 983 gets around 80-90 pax in peak hours (more than double).

Well so many feeder routes cant even use 12m DD buses due to the turning radius issue. And you think 12.8m DDs are gonna do the job?
SMRT's point is valid. Bendys perform alot better for feeders because it is more elderly-friendly and more efficient. What's the point of forcing people to go up for just a few stops? Doesnt make sense when space is not really a constraint at the roads where feeders ply. No point just suggesting use of DDs for the sake of using DDs. But in future, with all those MRT stations, most feeders can operate with just SDs so no need worry so much abt bendys or high capcaity buses for feeders. Then DDs can be used for just trunks.

I don't see a reason why more MRT stations will remove the need of DDs and bendies on feeders. In fact, even more high capacity buses will be needed to cater to the demand from the new MRT stations to neighbourhoods.
Simply, you cannot put an MRT station every 400 meters. And you cannot expect everyone to walk from the MRT stations to their home (some 500m, some 1km, some 2km etc). The fact that even short feeders like 225 and 284 survive shows how willing people are to walk all the way back when there's a convenient feeder. Are you really gonna build an MRT station at Bedok North St 3 to replace 225, which adds 2-3 mins of travelling time for other commuters? Don't expect LRTs since LTA has stopped planning any LRT lines for a long time.
And I can tell you, the rate at which LTA is planning the MRT lines is really slow... TEL Thomson part only ready by 2021, East Coast part by 2025, CRL by 2030... And even when these lines can significantly reduce the need of some trunk services, they cannot do so for feeders. Even with these lines, the density of MRT stations is still not enough to have one station in every neighbourhood etc. In most of the towns, buses are still the way to go.

For what they plan fast? Wouldn't that means that they have no job? Hahas..unless they got more space to dig..I think S'pore can prepare to introduce Double Decker trains for NSL/EWL to cater to the needs
From what I know, S'pore will have DTL, TEL, NSL, EWL, NEL, CCL only until 2030.
Overall, it's seriously poor planning for the transportation system.."Micro-sized" interchange with "Mega-populated" crowds..BIG dreams indeed..
Anyway, if you think the operators alone going to bring in more double decks, wait longer maybe? It's gonna be more SDs. SD(lower run cost) + pack bus(more profits) and with more drivers(-ve part).. Because during the off peak, your DD is literally useless.
