Instead of deploying for svc 911,They randomly deploy on other service...I wonder how 911 WAB status for now?50/50??

well i feel that 964 requires it more. But since it has 2 Enviros,911 could be a better choice.

so that explains the bus on 964 while travelling to work earlier..
SMRT shouldnt have declared 911 WAB first if it does not intend to deploy at least a A24 for it.Current fleet is 5 O405Gs and 5 A22s,It should have been 5 O405Gs,6 A22s and 1 A24 at least.

Where to extend?Left and right all the lands is occupied.
I think with 811,812,903,911,912 & 913 getting DDs in future,Most probably 40 A24s is enough with SMRT only need to buy another 15 units for spare buses.

No.. there is a huge land parcel on the right side of the MRT.
Rly feel 858 shld get bendies...
Its against the favour for SMRT too...
Since the overall freq isnt gonna improve anw (buses bunch all the time on 858 the moment a bus departs ≤ 7-8 mins after another), SMRT is just utilising two drivers to fulfill the role of one (in this case its just a matter of a bendy vs. Two rigids). This increases the number of manpower required.
Not in SMRT's favor, I believe.

we can only wait and see for this never ending issues 858.. in fact not just 858 alone.. the rest of the airport service as well..

I am surprised none of you have noticed the huge land parcel which is between CCK Loop on the north, CCK MRT on west, CCK Dr on east... the land there itself is much larger than the current CCK Interchange.. and extremely close to CCK MRT/LRT.
If thats the case might as well built ITH there right? The current one can close to make way for residential.

Can. Space is quite huge for ITH.

Not to mention, a number of Services pass by that area before entering the interchange...

Exactly!
Why didnt LTA think of that before this?Any official news about the extension by the way?

They just screwed up the A24s...seriously...
Deploying on services like 854? Moreover, it's 1 unit only. Same goes for 812...at first it was alright..but in the end, it only get 1 unit. Like what's the point? If they need bendy buses, they could just exchange with WLDEP since WLDEP need A24s also..
I doubt they will even put DD, plus it's not feasible.

They could just get at least half of that huge land for extension. Since buses are entering, they could widen the road that 190 etc. plys.
But still, taxi stand at Lot1 or parking slot ought to have some improvements. The traffic junction is terrible...wonder what LTA is doing..

964 needs more? I believe they could just grab any non-WAB bendy bus..
Anyway, the bus only runs in the morning...
Similarly, SMB8017K appeared on 971E the day before, but didn't appear on PM shift.

854 is one thing,But at least got WAB buses suchs as A22,OC and E500 to compliment. The most ironic WAB service is 911.50/50 between A22 and O405Gs?
Yeah I think SMRT screwed up the A24 deployments also. Seems like SMRT just using the A24s like any other bendy bus and deploying it all over the place (except those few units that perm 804, 806, 811, 300,302). They dont seem to be using its WAB feature to convert the feeders to WAB services.
But then again, I'd say, maybe wait till all the 40 units are in? Maybe SMRT is just deploying all over the place to do a full loading study of the bendy buses. Once all 40 in, SMRT might get its act together and deploy them to feeders. The 2 A24s on 854, I doubt they will stay long. Once AMK get more E500s, SMRT would probably swap them out (or atleast they should!).
