Bus Observations (2015)

The whole cck was in a havoc today during AM peak due to 2 separate road accidents...
1. Around 630am: Accident on KJE towards PIE after sungei tengah exit...
Jam was very bad, heard goes all the way to BKE entrance, many vehicles exit at CCK Drive and use the main roads like CCK Drive or CCK Way to get to their destination, causing jam along parts of CCK Drive and CCK Way...
Due to this, many bus services met with serious delays. Was onboard SMB181X (172AM02) and it departed the int 10 mins late at 730am. Queue went beyond the berth and even reach beyond the queueing area for 983.
Bus kept encountering jam, and as it was packed from int, it skipped the next 2 stops and only picked up pax from the 2nd stop of Ave 1. When bus reached Ave 3, there was serious jam again..by the time it cleared the jam, bus was already 20 mins behind schedule... (reached HTA bus stop at 755am)
But the 2nd accident caused a more serious effect...
2. Around 755am: Accident on junction of Ave 3 and Ave 5 involving a private bus and a lorry...
Almost the whole junction was blocked and buses like 172 and 975 had to do detour. Buses like TIB1086D (172S104) had to turn into Ave 5, then Ave 6 before going back onto Brickland Road... Other services affected were 300, 301 and 983...
I even heard that due to this, as many as SEVEN 975s bunch together...
(Did not encounter this myself though as my bus was lucky enough to pass this junction before the 2nd accident)

Oh yah I forgot to add they were flashing as the bus was reversing out of the berth. That was when I first noticed them. But afterwards they only flashed when the bus was not moving.

New bus stop (the solid permanent one) in front of Unity Sec School along St 62, opposite blk 625 where 307 plies...new service coming up?

SBS5106Y, SBS8185Z and SBS8969D have rumbling motors at the back of the bus.

SBS6847K, HGDEP156, still has new sitaro smell despite of 2 months being on revenue service.

SMB210X (on 106) was spotted parking by the roadside just after BS 03129 (UIC building) around 345pm and BC was spotted going towards the rear. Bus was empty..
Bus was earlier spotted with fully seated pax load at Orchard 15 mins earlier. Later on, bus was spotted entering Shenton Way Terminal around 4pm, with another unknown bendy on 106 entering the terminal around 2 mins after SMB210X entered the terminal...
Driver skiving?

SMB27J was spotted on wee hours of morning, parked at blk 316 bus stop at jurong west ave 1 at 6.20am, hazard light on & EDS off
what on earth the AM bus doing there? 187? lol

Hmm because somebody claim that it's showing 187 with brkdown triangle at 7:05am, another says he saw it at YTBI at 6:40am.

I also dunno whether is it permittable... But foresee either one bus is early or one bus is late.
Anyways, the frequency of 902 is quite good. Alighted from SMB 3007 Y, walked a bit into RP next bus at the bus stop was a bendy..

SBS3227U on Service 157 was driving fast and caught up with SBS6765M at Jurong East Avenue 1. What I think is, SBS3227U is trying to overtake SBS6765M
