DAF buses

  I feel that the CSS DAF buses are getting lesser on the roads , are some of them already been retired ? How many DAFs does CSS have originally ?

  hi
  
  the number is 20 i think
  and no they are all still around the last time i checked at the kallang MRT there.
  
  i took CSS274 yesterday but u are right that few of them go on roads nowadays....

  Well, yes. CSS is closing down. In the months to come, I think CSS 603, 605 and 608 would be withdrawn gradually.

  I do think by next year CSS services should be totally withdrawn.

  SSB may closed down, but I don't think so soon, maybe it takes a few years later?

  well at least we know CSS 607 will be withdrawn in Aug 3.
  
  i managed to take 6 DAF CSS buses the otheday. i discovered they were Voith gearboxed.
  also took note that the load factor on 605 during peak hours is HIGH!

  The SSB services that will not be withdrawn(if that ever happens) will be converted to trunk TIBS services I think(and hope).

  Not only service 605, service 608 too has a high load during peak hours and on Saturdays.

  Imagine Tibs service in St. Michael's and a Tibs service between Bedok and Bukit Merah, which are SBST controlled.
