hardly spot 966
All, yet another new pair of bus stops is spotted inside Punggol east near waterway primary school after Punggol drive. Anybody's guess? Service 386 to route in specially to serve the third loop or another new feeder service will be introduced in future? Most likely after Q3 2017? Cheers. Thanks.

I observed it after PIE especially if there is an accident or rainy days.

It would be crazy to have 386 do a third loop especially when 386 is almost at capacity. Instead of introducing a new feeder, I would prefer 386 is converted to 386G/W. Then it can enter third loop as well as enter Edgedale plains end near Punggol Point. Basically 386 will need to be tweaked a bit to become 386G/W.

Hi mr busanalyser, since when is edgedale plains end near Punggol point??? Is Punggol point a typo error or edgedale plains end a typo error?
Last time I have already said it is absurd to let 386 loop 3 times. Those at 3rd loop at Punggol east will have a super long time to get home or go bus interchange. Cheers. Thanks.
TPE bus stops is really fuck up!That day while driving svc 3 i am behind 969 DD,About 12 pax board my bus,As the front bus move i already switch to right lane towards Punggol Rd then i saw a group of 7 pax flag my bus!I cannot turn left back as they're bus approaching near..My 1st complain in years of bus driving!

Either design problem or pax attitude problem... Not your fault tbh

Hopefully it's just provision... Or a new feeder could be launched if its route does not duplicate existing services (which is almost impossible).
Slightly OT:
New berth coming up at Tampines Int beside 8's berth (sort of), with a queue added... Not sure if it's for 8 or new service.

127 perhaps? End-on or sawtooth?

Since it's beside 8, must be end-on berth.
Good luck to 127 if it's located there.

Hi mr array88, hope it is new feeder service. Maybe not so soon. No matter which roads out of Punggol bus interchange it takes, it will duplicate existing services. However, note the most important item is that the objective is different. The objective (Punggol east bus stop) is enough to give this service full loading because it is expected to be the only service serving that 1 bus stop. Cheers. thanks.

there is only one more new service under Loyang package...
my guess is that they will divert sv50 to there...

Hi mr lemon1974, there will be 5 new bus services for Punggol for the extended bus interchange end of yr 2017. Take note that these 5 bus services may not necessarily be under Go Ahead for loyang package. It can be also under sbs transit. Cheers. Thanks.

LTA did not say that there will be 5 new services for Punggol extension.
it was the reporter who speculated only.
there is no official press release from LTA on expansion.. the LTA spokeman is only answering query from the newspaper...

Hi mr lemon1974, yes technically you are right. However please take note that the Punggol extension will have 2 boarding berths plus 1 alighting berths plus at least 12 parking lots. Technically it is more than enough for 5-6 new services. Granted not all may be introduced at end of yr 2017. But in the years to come, surely 5 new services will be introduced. There are many other areas in Punggol not well connected and some worse off.
Just take a look at new tampines concourse interchange. On 19 dec 2016, they will have 3 bus services already. And mr hgdep103 says it is only the first phase. So don't be surprised if all extensions built will have at least 5 services. Cheers. Thanks.
Originally posted by Sbs6750E:Actually sv 83 can amend to Punggol East End. Will post the route later.
Hi mr sbs6750E, hope they don't do that because it will be so indirect and it means 83 will no longer patronize bus stop at blk 649 Punggol central and blk 162B Punggol central. This will mean another bus service is lost for the end of Punggol central which will be reduced to just 3 and 85 effectively. Unless your idea is 83G/W because there will be 3 duplicating stops in 2 directions before it turns back to Punggol central. Cheers. Thanks.
Dont be surprised if some services like 3, 22 & 46 get shifted out of TP int soon
Originally posted by SMB1368T:Dont be surprised if some services like 3, 22 & 46 get shifted out of TP int soon
Hi mr smb1368T, yes we will not be surprised. But if some services are shifted out, there will also be new bus services coming into main interchange as well. So end up still as crowded as before. Not too useful. What I actually hope is there is actually a net loss in services to relieve the crowdiness. Meaning 2 services shifted out and 1 new service come in. So is -1. Cheers. Thanks.
