Hi mr SMB1368T, massive population growth by way of immigration. More new flats and more new bus services are needed. Cheers. Thanks.
Haven't been here for ages, but I've come here to ask questions about buses
Any news about the construction of new bus stops along Dairy Farm Rd? I don't know where else to check about this, so I'm just hoping for a new service along the road

Last time I have already said it is absurd to let 386 loop 3 times. Those at 3rd loop at Punggol east will have a super long time to get home or go bus interchange. Cheers. Thanks.
Edgedale plains has two ends, one is at Waterway, the other near TPE. I am referring to the one near TPE where you had the new BTO open up earlier this year and some of the blocks are very far from LRT/Punggol Point.

my guess is that they will divert sv50 to there...
That would actually be good if they divert sv 50 but given that sv 50 is a successful trunk, I am not sure. Just like in many other cases they could have diverted a duplicating trunk instead of launching a new service, but they rather chose to launch new service even if it is duplicating. Hoping LTA has realized better but doesnt look like yet.

Earliest is 2019, 2-3 years from now...

The demographics do not still show a huge population growth because the job growth is low due to worldwide economic issues.
I don't think government will meet its 6.9m objective as currently the trajectory is below their expected population growth.

PRC and Indian National would be glad to call Singapore their home..Easily can achieved.
eh wait, just the day before, i saw marking for a bus bay between Canberra Road and Yishun Avenue 2/Canberra Link along Sembawang Road. possible bus stop for 167?

Hi mr busanalyser, Punggol point is at the end of Punggol road where service 84 serves. The bto at end of edgedale plains near TPE which you are saying is Punggol edge. Some of the blocks are far from LRT/Punggol plaza. Not Punggol point. They are in middle of 2 bus stops. Super unlikely to have new service there as the distance is deemed walkable. Take note that it has been over 14 years that there is a cluster of older flats blk 130 -134 there. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr busanalyser, still considered huge population growth in Singapore context. 20k new citizens every year currently. Cheers. Thanks.
84 and 382 will be extend next year.

I meant Punggol Plaza. My mistake.

382 should be doing Sumang Lane/Walk to connect the new Matilda BTOs.

Very likely. The bus stops are already up. It shouldn't be a loop service as the bus stops are on both sides.
There is also a new road (Punggol Way) along Punggol Road. Currently it is still not open, but it will likely be opened soon. Punggol Point LRT station can be seen from Punggol Road.
Pax also prefer to take 43/43M/117/118 from bus interchange to Soo Teck LRT rather than LRT, because the LRT only operates in one direction. The same applies for pax going to Safra Punggol (taking 382W instead of LRT).

Hi mr sbs3004X, extend 382G/W right on both directions? By the way, even if bus stops are on both sides so extend 382G/W will still make 382G/W a loop service. Cheers. Thanks.
Just wondering, why is Punggol LRT West Loop not called North Loop?
382G/W may be extended to ply a loop around Sumang Walk (i.e. instead of turning directly into Punggol Field, it will go around Punggol Matilda before proceeding to Punggol Field).

Hi mr sbs3004X, yes good. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs3004X, naming convention. West and east. Same like Sengkang west and east. Cheers. Thanks.
What about the road that starts from Punggol Road, passing through Edgefield Plains and Edgedale Plains before ending at Punggol East? 386 is rumoured to be amended to this route from Edgefield Plains to Edgedale Plains, skipping Punggol Drive.
