Hi mr sbs3004X, think about this 2 yrs later. Now is still early. If that happens, they will introduce another service to connect edgefield plains to edgedale plains and Punggol drive and Punggol east. Don't forget these people also need convenient access to amenities in Punggol east and also there are bus stops erected outside the Elton childcare/horizon primary school and Greendale primary school. Don't tell me no bus services at these stops too. Cheers. Thanks.

Originally posted by SBS3004X:Just wondering, why is Punggol LRT West Loop not called North Loop?
Because there was supposed to be a Punggol North branch line that branches off at Teck Lee Station. This is the reason why there is a middle track at Punggol LRT station that is covered by the platform. At this stage, it is unlikely that the branch line will be built.
Originally posted by SBS3004X:Very likely. The bus stops are already up. It shouldn't be a loop service as the bus stops are on both sides.
There is also a new road (Punggol Way) along Punggol Road. Currently it is still not open, but it will likely be opened soon. Punggol Point LRT station can be seen from Punggol Road.
who knows 84 will ply that road & stop at punggol point station bus-stop?
like what carbikebus said about 84 extension...

Yep it will never be built... The branch line was killed by the MRT extension and died in its womb...
They could open up the track as a backup track though, just like in AMK and Paya Lebar
A few days ago I was at Chestnut Ave snapping 598. Didn't see any bus stops in the opposite direction, and 598's bus stops also didn't have any shelters.
So the rumoured 973 is unlikely to ply Chestnut Ave/Dr. (Can someone check whether there are new bus stops along Dairy Farm Rd?)

Many new bus stops in Tuas, along Tuas Cres/ Ave 20 (opp side of sv 254), Tuas Ave 7/8 (near bus stops of sv 192 & 193), and Tuas South Ave 6/7/8/9/10/12/14 (currently unserved by sv 182). Some trees marked with red tape, possibly new bus stops not built yet.
No new bus stops seen along Tuas Ave 11 (opp side of sv 254), and along Tuas South Ave 3/5 (opp side of sv 182). Former maybe don't have, latter maybe not built yet.

Will post speculated bus sv changes later.
Maybe the two new svc 250/259 under Jurong West package?

Will post speculated bus sv changes later.
My own speculations:
- 254 to be shortened to loop at Tuas Rd and Tuas Basin Link (and perhaps Tuas Ave 11), skipping Tuas Cres.
- New G/W loop service from Tuas Ter to serve new bus stops along Tuas Ave 20, Cres and Ave 7/8. Will possibly ply Pioneer Rd and Tuas Link 4 on its way from/to Tuas Ter.
- New service(s) from Tuas Ter to cover new bus stops in Tuas South, plying Tuas South Ave 5 (serving the bus stop near Tuas Cres).

254 will definitely be extended and have its terminating / looping point changed.
Given the stops(?) along Tuas Ave 12, it may be possible that 254 will be extended along there (passing by EW32 Tuas West Road), before following 192's route via Tuas Link 4 to Tuas Terminal. It will have to skip Tuas Ave 11.
On the other hand, 192 will now have the free rein to cross over to Tuas Ave 12 / 11 / 18 (also serving EW32 Tuas West Road) and Tuas South Ave 5, before further extension into Tuas South. Given its earlier route simplification during opening of Joo Koon Int to skip Lok Yang, this seems highly probable.
Not sure where 193 fits in here though, may not see much changes (other than bridging places with the new MRT stations). Probably neither will 182. In addition, there should be either one new service or an extension / modification to 256.
At some point of time later, it could bring more numbering coherency if 182/258 or 194/254 swapped service numbers.
There is a bus bay stone dividers covered at Pasir Ris Dr 4 towards Loyang Besar.

Maybe LTA is becoming nice to construction workers. Just like 883 currently used by construction workers only as very very few people have moved in to the new flats. Same with Punggol Point LRT opening for northshore construction workers.

Could say that to workers in Sungei Kadut and Defu.
I thought the northshore construction is at Samudera LRT?

Hi mr SMB1368T, yes you are right. North shore is at Samudera LRT. Cheers. Thanks.

There are two LRT stops at two ends of northshore - Samudera and Punggol Point.
