The above route would connect BBT West town to Jurong East amenities + EWL, NSL at Bukit Gambok (connect parts of ave 8) not connected to NSL by 944 and connect Bukit Gambok and Bukit Batok West town to BPJ and DTL3.
Eastlace BTO in Canberra estate along Canberra Road has no bus connection for at least a km... Residents have to walk to 117/169/883 stop opp Yishun Sapphire or have to walk all the way back to 169/117/883 stop OR they have to walk back to the inner most part of Canberra estate to catch 883.
I am surprised that LTA hasn't put up a bus stop for 117/169 for Eastlace BTO residents...
All, new bus stop is coming up on pasir ris drive 8 near the pasir ris costa Bto flats soon. Means service 15 will have to stop there before it moves on to tampines since it currently bypasses this road. Cheers. Thanks.

Makes sense... for the flats and condos there, there is no service... a long walk for residents of NV residences etc along PSR Grove.

Bus stop along that road will sure chaos during peak hours...Dunno what's LTA thinking with planning like that...Buses already have torque restrictions and slower accelerate.

Should be okay... as I said there is no service for the residents there and a long walk, unless they divert a service like 403 to ply PSR Grove twice.

Only the BCs know why...Should have a feeder service loop at PSR grove instead.
Canberra Link needs a bus stop. I am not sure why still don't have one. 117/169 should call at this bus stop.

The construction of Canberra MRT Station will include a pair of bus stops; so it will be around June 2019? ...

Seems like a new service is coming soon, most likely within the next 3 months. I expect this one to be a inter-town trunk, not a dual town feeder like 883.
Bus stop structures are not up yet though, but there is a sign at the bus bay saying, 'PLEASE, DO NOT PLANT TREES AT BUSBAY AREA'.
The above post was posted in June 2017 and since then, no service serves EastLace @ Canberra BTO along Canberra Crescent. So, I expect some changes annually ...

There is nothing much along Canberra Crescent so that's okay but Eastlace has people living there since November now and no bus service. They either have to walk to Opp Yishun Sapphire or to 167/117/883 stop along Canberra link.
I am surprised that residents there are not creating chaos or the MP is not making noise. Not difficult to just add a bus stop along Canberra Link for 117/169.

Usually those staying at condo/terrace don't make much fuss as most of them have their own transport..The Husband will just drive and drop off their spouse to the nearest bus stops or MRT station

Bus stop 46739 along Gambas Ave had been renamed from "Opp Yew Huat Scaffolding Work" to "Blk 782".

New bus stop for 20 coming up in April (along the lines of Expo)
New bus shelters being constructed Tampines Ave 11 (outside and opposite Reebonz Building).
Bus commuters can enjoy a cooler and more comfortable wait outside Plaza Singapura in Orchard Road from Monday (March 12).
A trial bus stop, built by ST Engineering, will feature overhead nozzles that deliver cool air of as low as 24 deg C and which the company says is as much as 90 per cent cleaner, with harmful PM2.5 particles filtered out.
The smart bus stop will also have a high-tech camera system that tracks commuter flow and average waiting times. It also has algorithms that can spot unattended baggage or suspicious individuals loitering around.
Launched on Monday, the pilot bus stop, which has been erected alongside an existing one outside Plaza Singapura mall, employs the Airbitat Oasis air cooling and purification system that ST Engineering developed.
Compared with conventional air-conditioners which employ refrigerants and generate heat, the Airbitat Oasis creates a reservoir of cold water through evaporative cooling which is, in turn, used to cool the air it blows out. The system has been deployed in places such as the Singapore Zoo and Resorts World Sentosa.
Sensors embedded in the bus-stop infrastructure monitor air temperature and purity, levels of which are displayed on a touchscreen board.
The bus stop, which will be put on trial for a year, was developed by ST Engineering subsidiary Innosparks, a research and development outfit and start-up incubator. It took 18 months to put the bus stop together, from conceptualisation to construction.
Innosparks head Gareth Tang said that the air-cooling system and sensors can be retrofitted to other existing bus stops, making the bus-stop concept easily transferable. Mr Tang declined to reveal how much the firm's bus stop cost, but said it costs about 60 cents an hour to run.
The Land Transport Authority's group director for public transport, Mr Yeo Teck Guan, said: "We are pleased to provide a platform for innovative ideas to be test bedded to improve land transport... We welcome more local companies to test bed ideas that could help make commuting more pleasant."

Horrifyingly still 117 is not calling along Canberra Link for new condos/Btos and making people walk 0.5 km. unfair!
last time at this topic, i posted that there are new bus-stops along bukit batok west ave 8 after MI main gate (just outside MI soccer field/stadium)
apparently, the opposite of it just constructed a new bus stop as well. so now there are 2 pair of new bus stops in total ( including the one after dulwich & its opposite)
wonder what service go there...
