Extension of Service 171 to Jurong East (As many people suggested)
But this route is different from Service 97's route

Extension to Jurong Island better and also extend to Sembawang passing by Yishun.
Hope the LTA not remove Service 171 because the route is long (About 40 km).
With the extension to Jurong East, the route would be 50 to 66km

Cannot la bro... 48 too long alr...
was thinking if changi village to airport route would be good
CV Terminal > Loyang Ave > Loyang Way > Upp Changi Road North > PIE > Airport Terminals 1-3 and back
or
CV Terminal > Telok Paku Road > Changi Coast Rd > ECP > Airport Terminals 1-3 and back
(maybe the 2nd one can help a bit of bus 35?) and also operate full days including weekends
48 looks longer because of ecp..CBP or BNDEP far?
Originally posted by carbikebus:48 looks longer because of ecp..CBP or BNDEP far?
CBP is a bit further from BNDEP. But the route for 48 is quite long alr.

The extended JRL is still unconfirmed... They're doing feasibility studies I guess
I know this is CRAZY and will not happen.
Extend 860 to Tampines via Yishun Ave 2, TPE, Tampines Ave 7 and follow 29's route to Tampines Int.
Then amend 29 to Tampines Ave 7, skipping St 41 and Ave 9.
Provides more point-to-point service from Yishun to Tampines East (bus stop along Tampines Ave 7 after TPE can be a new transfer hub) and supplements 969; reduces traveling time for those along 29's route to Tampines Int

Hmmm... I still think 804 better off with the current route.
AM Peak maybe they tend to take 800 to Yishun Int but then PM Peak prefer to take 804 rather than 800. I remember taking 804 to Blk 293, lots of ppl alight there...

please do not remove that part of 804.
though, 800 or 804 does not matter for me. but 800 loading is lesser than 804. hence boarding 800 will have a bigger chance of a seat. 117/987 will not do Yishun Central to Yishun Ring Road (Blk 29x, 25x and 23x).

Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:But 800 will right?
800 does cover but
Blks 29x will prefer 804 to reach home (less bus stops and no need to cross road)
Blks 25x and 23x will have no preferences. (cross road for Blks 25x)

Don't mean to be harsh, but Svc 71 at any further depth than Begonia/Saraca is absolutely impractical. Landed property housing has everyone parking their cars on the road in such a fashion that a two-way road becomes a single-lane road which spells absolute doom for any considerable-capacity bus service. Also, the left turns are too narrow. Would make more sense if it's a BusPlus service or something.
Think YCK -> Begonia -> Saraca -> Seletar -> YCK would be an adequate route that reduces walking time for residents, yet does not cause significant inconvenience for the drivers themselves. Suggest svc number changed to 826 to associate with svc 825 from the same terminus.
