My suggestion: extend 927.
- (current 927 route to Mandai Lake Rd)
- Mandai Lake Rd
- Mandai Rd
- SLE
- Woodlands Ave 12
- Woodlands Ave 5
- Woodlands Ave 2
- Woodlands Sq
Connects southern Woodlands to zoo and the Mandai camps. Premium 926 can be abolished. Can introduce 171Z on weekends for short-trip from Yishun to the zoo, if necessary.
171Z ?
during SBS days of Svc 171 it use to ply inside zoo in both directions. Recall taking a non aircon SBS O405 on 171 before 1994.

Hi mr pathlight, no need anymore. Current fleet of buses and NEL is enough to cover loss sectors of service 97. When they trimmed the route that time many years back, they have already put up posters indicating alternative routes and buses plus MRT. Please do not keep harping back on the past. Cheers. Thanks.

That is just new routes. Trust me

Hi mr pathlight, I rather trust LTA, not you. LTA will not introduce 3 routes from west to northeast all using PIE. 1 is already difficult, let alone 3. Cheers. Thanks.

Ignore him. His brain is hard-wired to suggest a ridiculous Jurong East / West to NE service 99% of the time, just because it's convenient, and somewhat selfishly, for his own travels.
He won't care about the transport system's overall functions and efficiencies, or any other service improvements that can boost connections in other towns. Maybe only in the other 1%.
Can anyone comment on my sv 118 and 164 on the previous page

Somewhat too dedicated for Punggol residents. What I would do is to extend it a little to the outskirts of Sengkang / Hougang to allow for bus transfers (Sengkang East Dr, Upp Serangoon Rd, Tampines Ave 7), before going express down KPE / PIE / CTE. Then let it serve a little of Newton (Moulmein Rd, Newton Rd) before going to Orchard.
I'm not a NE resident, have no guarantee that this amendment will help. This is just some personal ideas.

Hi mr SBS2652G, quite good. Because currently no bus service from Punggol to orchard and CBD area. Good to make use of expressway to shorten the journey time too. This is what is sorely lacking now. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr SBS2652G, good. Short and sweet. Direct and fast. You must be either living in sengkang or punggol. You certainly know the need for more bus services in northeast area. Cheers. Thanks.

go other towns will defeat the purpose of vs the MRT
also, there is service 102 which links up Buangkok and Sengkang to Jalan Kayu for an easy transfer to this service
the reason why it calls at Jalan Kayu js such that there can be convenient transfers to other services at Jalan Kayu Terminal
