I prefer your 973E stops at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and also UniSIM. As such, students can also take the bus to ease them from heading to Clementi and rushing for the bus at the crowded bus stop at Clementi MRT Stn.

but need not stop at SST & SP SMA or even those stops along Wdl Av3. Main idea is to cut short, allow another alternative for residents in North transferring to CCL or school.
Thus, I just focus more of the MRT station stops, Blk154 & Opp Blk 352 are mainly for passengers to transfer easily(to Clementi especially). In future, Blk154 can amend to Yishun MRT.

19 buses as stated in sgwiki also have terrible frequencies eh?
Possible amendment to service 256:
Skipped bus stops along Pioneer Rd North are still served by 193 and 251.

I waited for 811 sometimes quite long... After the bunching of 3 - 4 buses in the morning, the next bus of 811 is like at the opposite side of my bus stop.
I am taking the bus at Blk 858 bus stop. Usually there is bunching, and then a A24 or A22 just streaming by on the other side.

Because I feel it is too short for a service. As such, calling at the bus stop along Woodlands Ave 3 will allow students or staff who are staying around that vicinity to take this bus without need to transfer to another bus.
But I am agreeing with not stopping at SST and SP SMA bus stops because I foresee not many also alighting and boarding happening at these two bus stop.

Although it's short, the time taken is also an important factor hahas..if it stops at every stop, the demand might not be there. Ppl rather take MRT.

Skipped bus stops along Pioneer Rd North are still served by 193 and 251.
Although it's good to have a service for Kian Teck, do take note that 256 is now the only service for those workers in Soon Lee Dormitory to Joo Koon Int (if not counting 193 at Benoi Rd). And it also provides them connection to Pioneer / Boon Lay MRT. If we remove 256, all workers over there will need to rely on 193 to Benoi Rd and transfer to their workplaces; they will also have no service to Pioneer MRT, and only 2 services to Boon Lay MRT with rather poor frequency.
Nevertheless, we can have a new feeder-like service in Jurong West starting from Soon Lee Bus Park, thus also serving the dorm there. Then it may be ok to amend 256 to Kian Teck.

You're missing the point here - the new Yew Tee service is supposed to ferry residents to and from Bt Panjang MRT Stn, or other stations on DTL2. Thus the most efficient routing is either via KJE or Stagmont Ring / Woodlands Rd.
Though your route certainly provides links out of CCK town, it is unlikely to be introduced in the near future. The section south of CCK is also tracing too closely to 188.
Overall ... I feel that this service has better potential elsewhere. According to rumours, there is high chance for an extension to Bt Panjang and Petir after DTL2 opening, which would greatly benefit CCK Ave 5 residents.

I heard of that rumour though. If that happens, i think it will run from Yew Tee to CCK Ave 5 then BPJ integrated hub.
Would an extension of 920/922 be better to link Yew Tee and Bukit Panjang be sufficient? Two SWTs could be created, one which is currently 920/922; the other being the Yew Tee feeder.
Originally posted by SBS9252G:I heard of that rumour though. If that happens, i think it will run from Yew Tee to CCK Ave 5 then BPJ integrated hub.
No! If that were the case, Yew Tee residents would have to travel through all of CCK and compete with Ave 5 residents for the DTL. Not acceptable.
For the shuttle to be efficient, it MUST NOT pass through CCK central. That leaves KJE / Stagmont Ring --> Woodlands Rd. Thus you need a standalone service from Bt Panjang Bus Park, or an extended one from Bt Batok.

Doubt so. 920 and 922 are needed to ferry residents from Bt Panjang interior to the MRT at high frequencies during peak hours.
Also the location of both BPJ Bus Park and the MRT stop renders such a combination unsuitable, because there would be no clear end point on either side (both are loop services) and it would be inefficient to make the return trip to the bus park.

I don't think there's plans to divert 502 once again. I don't think there's a need to introduce such services again in future.
