Some fantastical route suggestions after the opening of MRT Tuas West Extension, making extensive use of Tuas Term (disregard space constraints for now).
=============================================
Service 182: Cut short to Tuas Term, deleted sectors replaced by 256. Numbering swap with 258, to standardize 25x as JIS / Tuas services.
Service 258: Numbering swap with 182.
Service 192: Rerouted to serve Tuas West Road MRT Stn.
Service 254: Extended to (loop at) Tuas Term. Covers lost 192 link at Tuas Link 4.
Service 256: Extended to (loop at) Tuas Term, takes over the skipped sectors of 258 (former 182).
New service 250: Tuas Term - Pioneer Sector 2. Provides improved links to extended MRT stns. (If needed, can be merged with 257 to form Joo Koon - Tuas.)
New service 259: Tuas Term - Tuas South Extension. Plys Tuas South areas currently not served by 258 (former 182).
=============================================
Eventually, the new services serving the Tuas areas are:

I'm assuming you are taking the Tuas Rd end loop before returning via PIE and Upp Jurong Rd?
Not viable to extend a Bird Park service any further, for the time being. Too much route duplication as well. If necessary, extend 256 instead.
Also Tuas Rd is not that badly in need of links ... 254 still goes near Tuas Crescent MRT station. It's the Gul and Pioneer Sector areas that would benefit from a closer link to Gul Circle station. (Hence my suggestion on 250 above.)

Actually I am using the roundabout under Tuas Flyover. The extension for me is simply for NSmen and NSFs from Pasir Laba Camp have another alternative service besides 182/182M aft the amendment of Svc 193 later next month. Since It is not viable/visable to extend the service then I shall see other alternatives.

This route is good. It would benefit the people working at the industrial buildings along Jurong West Street 23, the staff and students of Corporation Primary School, and the people going to the mosque. However, I feel that it would be better if we let it ply both directions on Jurong West Street 24, 23 and 22, so that the bus service 181 would not have to skip any bus stop. Anyway, there is a roundabout at the extended road of Jurong West Street 24.
Meanwhile, we could let the route ply Jurong West Street 25 twice in the same direction but call at staggered bus stops (ie. to Boon Lay Bus Interchange, to Jurong West Street 24). This would benefit the people staying inside of Jurong West Street 25, as well as the staff and students of Westwood Secondary School.

i'm an ex-student of that school and plying st 25 is obviously not a good idea because the road is very narrow (cant even expand the road) and at the end of the road, no space to do 3-point turn too
my propose route only skip opp blk 276B bus stop... i think it doesnt affect anyone as well
plying st 24 because the 172/199 bus stop & 157 bus-stop is very far away from the mosque (unless they make a new bus-stop right after turning right to ave 2 for 157 twrds tpy)
Convert 128 to a full day service and renumbered 162M to the current 162.

I also. I went there almost everyday from Monday to Friday, for four years (2009-2012). Once a while, I went there on Saturday.
Who's name is Westwood? Ours! :)
But then, ... WWSS is not the same as last time. E.g. I heard that the discipline standard has dropped.
Anyway,
Other than the two pairs of bus stop at Jurong West Avenue 3, the other pair of bus stop is at Jalan Bahar, and it's quite a distance away. I'm suggesting a bus service that plies Jurong West Street 25, so that bus services would be more accessible to the people staying there.
Splitting of Service 858
Not sure if anyone had suggested something similar here, but I decided to come up with my own rendition of such a suggestion.
Service 858 is one of the many heavily-utilized bus services that is unable to use high capacity buses. Just like the other airport bus services, double-deck buses cannot be used due to height limitations in the PTBs of Changi Airport, while articulated buses are still in the midst of testing of their feasibility to operate on airport bus services.
However, despite its inability to carry more passengers, its passenger demand had not decreased, but increased significantly first with its route amendment to serve Sembawang New Town in 2010 and the opening of a new pair of bus stops along the Punggol Flyover of the Tampines Expressway in 2014, which provided a much faster travel option for residents of Sengkang/Punggol from the airport compared to Services 27 and 34.
Moreover, its frequency is often impacted due to traffic congestions along the express sectors of SLE/TPE/PIE, notwithstanding the fact that it has become the longest loop service after its adjustment into Sembawang New Town. Despite fleet additions under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP) and its placing under the Bus Service Reliability Framework (BSRF) to reduce bunching instances, things still did not improve much.
While solutions such as building an integrated bus interchange in Changi Airport that allows the accommodation of double-deck buses, further testing of articulated buses to ensure its feasibility to run into Changi Airport or even the introduction of a route variant that plies between the residential estates it serve are suggested by many here, another possible solution would be to split the route into two to better regulate its frequency and distribute the demand of the service.
Thus, here is a suggestion of the splitting up of Service 858:
Service 858 (Sembawang - Changi Airport)
- Route shortened to Sembawang Int via Sembawang Cres/Dr/Vista
- Sectors in Woodlands replaced by new Service 968

While the splitting will cause the loss of links between Woodlands, Sembawang and Yishun, alternative Services 962 (to SBW) and 965/969 (to YIS), as well as the NSL, remain available to commuters. Moreover, Services 965/969 provide much faster connections to Yishun compared to the existing Service 858 route. While Service 962's link between Woodlands and Sembawang may not be as direct, the travel time is roughly similar to that of Service 858 (making a detour into the inner neighbourhoods of Woodlands before hitting Sembawang Way).

I had suggested the splitting, but different from yours.
958: Woodlands Interchange <> Changi Airport (express)
Woodlands Interchange >> Admiralty MRT >> Sembawang MRT >> Yishun MRT >> Khatib MRT >> Jalan Kayu >> TPE stop >> Changi Airport
858: Woodlands Interchange <> Punggol Interchange
Current 858 route, turning left on Punggol Road >> Punggol Field >> Punggol Way >> Punggol Central >> Punggol Interchange
* This suggestion was before 117 talks came into picture. I thought would make immense sense to have 958 as express service to airport, and parallel to MRT, while 858 to go to Punggol and use high capacity buses.

I don't think this service would provide a "faster connection". The route length itself is considerably longer, considering the detour around Bt Panjang / PIE would be much less direct.
Using 966's route as a gauge, the distance from Woodlands Ave 3 --> BKE --> BPJ --> BKE --> PIE --> CGA would be 22 (*966) + 14 (PIE) + 4 (Airport) = 40km. If you add 968's detour to Woodlands Ave 9 / 12, that would be another 9km, giving a total of almost 100km round-trip. Coupling with PIE's much more frequent congestions and jams, it's not much better even if you start the trip from Sembawang. Overall, still not worth it.
Your effort to include a direct service from Bt Panjang to the Airport is admirable, but not entirely necessary, given that DTL2 will be opening soon, and MRT is generally faster and more reliable in terms of travelling time. If there is additional demand, consider introducing premium services; if not it will just be wasting resources. Toa Payoh - Changi Airport may use a separate service.
I would still recommend BusAnalayzer's suggestion to get most of 858 on high capacity first, before patching the route back to CGA.

An alternative would be to terminate 858 at Pasir Ris, then introduce a new service (SBST / GAG) from Pasir Ris - Changi Airport running on express via Pasir Ris Dr 8, adjusted to high frequency only during CGA peak hours (this can be easily controlled by the nearby Loyang Depot). This can also ease the load on 53. How about that?
Service 858 adjustment:
New service 404: Pasir Ris - Changi Airport (loop)
Thus to save time, passengers can also transfer at the bus stop at Blk 571, avoiding the large crowds at the next stop beside the MRT.
Under the new contracting model, all revenue still goes to LTA, so there wouldn't be an issue with dividing the split revenue.
=====================================
EDIT 29/11/2015: Bendy NG363Fs have been deployed on 858 as of today. Consider the above suggestion moot.
Ah no and will not happen, there are still people like myself in woodlands and yishun and sembawang who take 858 directly to CGA. Although it is long but direct. People would not be happy to trf buses at PSR

I would agree with the feedback you gave with regards to the probably longer distance for the express sector of the suggested Sv968. Will take these factors into consideration for future route suggestions.
But with regards to the opening of DTL2, I feel that a direct bus from Bukit Panjang to the airport may be viable compared to transferring to EWL at Bugis and then CGL at Tanah Merah. Most "successful" semi-express trunk bus services are sort of making use of this factor of being more direct than the MRT to thrive isn't it? (e.g. Sv168 being faster from Woodlands to Tampines compared to taking NSL at Woodlands, then transferring to EWL at City Hall or Raffles Place to reach Tampines). Cheers.

Well, 168 works because the direct distance is easily covered by SLE/TPE, which is a lot faster and more direct than MRT. But between Bt Panjang and CGA, while there is BKE/PIE, MRT is still considerably direct with DTL/EWL (even with the transfer passage) or DTL/CCL/EWL. The longer distance also makes a bus service more vulnerable to road conditions, so its timing would be less reliable.

Haha how complicated can it be?
Commuters just have to see the numbers, and get notified of the changes.
858 - Never go to Sembawang
858X(with a blue plate stating "Sembawang") - Go to Sembawang
858A(probably peak hours only) - Ends at Yishun
Reason :
- Adm/Wdl residents will use back 962/AC7 for Sembawang connection.
- Adm/Wdl residents might use 858 to reach KTPH.
- Sbw/Yis residents uses 858 to reach KTPH.

So SBST is slowly taking over Sembawang? Lol...
Can 502 be rerouted to go via Cross Street, New Bridge Road, Cantonment Road, Keppel Road, Telok Blangah Road and Alexandra Road when CCL6 opens? This will provide connectivity from Pinnacle @ Duxton to Tanjong Pagar Railway Station. Only left 75, 167 and 196.
Shame on you, LTA.
