Why not... They can operate a better feeder service. No need an overlap of services like 859, 859A/859B..

I prefer 859 instead of Yishun to Sembawang via Chong Pang and all. I prefer it goes inside Yishun from Ave 7, Ring Rd and complements some feeders before ending at Yishun Int. Sembawang stay as it is

To reduce 858 loads there is a need for new service to Airport from Sembawang/Yishun-Airport or from Bt Panjang/Woodlands-Airport.
858
Sembawang - Changi Airport
Splitting 858... My take is that Sembawang - Airport should be kept, with another svc following existing route from Woodlands - Yishun/ Khatib. Here it could loop around Yishun, extend to Upp Thomson Rd/ YCK or extend eastwards along SLE/TPE to Punggol.
- keep direct airport connection up to Sembawang, since Woodlands pax less likely to take all the way to airport
- Woodlands - Khatib is more of residential route, hence best not to extend too long. Extending to Punggol (as BusAnalyzer suggested) or somewhere north-east would keep the route to Jln Kayu/SKG/PGL, but still long and bunching prone.

If I base on experience boarding Svc 858, Woodlands/Sembawang/Yishun area have a lot of passengers boarding this bus to Jalan Kayu and to Airport. If you shorten the trip to Sembawang/Yishun - Changi Airport, then it will make a hassle for Woodlands residents to go to Airport.

Hi mr SBS9256X, yes I agree with the high loading from woodlands, sembawang, yishun. I don't foresee this service being trimmed or amended. They have even added higher capacity buses in the form of bendies. Cheers. Thanks.

We already have some sort of "190C" operate on certain timings of the day.
I have a route suggestion:
Service 927 extend to Changi Airport(Loop)
Service 67 extend to Changi Airport but a bidirectional trunk
Smrt 190a serve the Kim seng area
Smrt 190b serve the marina bay area
Smrt 67 route extension can serve pasir ris ,changi village the a'port
Smrt 927 serve nee soon area,amk,seletar a'space park,Punggol Matilda,Punggol Ctrl estate,sengkang west,sengkang central,sengkang east Expyway,tampines retail park,tampines and more
67 dont extend, u will 'kill' the driver

Extend 172 to Joo Koon via Boon Lay Way (Boon Lay MRT), Pioneer Road North, PIE (non-stop), Upper Jurong Road (outside SDC) and Benoi Road. That way, the link between Boon Lay and SDC is maintained.
Originally posted by 201911:After seeing jurongresident's route suggestion of a new bus svc to serve Biopolis/Mediapolis, I went digging around google maps and found that bus bays have actually been provisioned along some roads, including Fusionopolis Way. They probably don't give a full picture of how new/amended bus svc could be like (the bus bays only cover certain areas), but just thought it's interesting to share.

In other words, there is already bus service 191 to the new Mediacorp campus, which connects to one-north and Buona Vista MRT Stations; There is no need for the new bus route I suggested, if the only intention is to connect to the new Mediacorp campus.
Well, all the better. We can cut back the route to end at Biopolis. When the route is already short and we shorten it further, it means we can extend it to originate/terminate at another bus interchange/terminal, besides Buona Vista Bus Interchange. :)

Hi mr jurongresident, buona vista is only a terminal, not interchange. No boarding/alighting is allowed at buona vista terminal. Need to get to nearest bus stop along holland drive/commonwealth avenue for boarding and alighting. Cheers. Thanks.

Well, at least bus service 191 calls at the pair of bus stop beside Buona Vista MRT Station. However, I feel that it quite a distance away, especially from the East West Line.
I think we should extend it to connect to Dover MRT Station for better accessibility to the bus service.
We can extend it originate at Clementi Bus Interchange, or Kent Ridge Bus Terminal. But to avoid duplications, I think it is better to extend it to originate at Kent Ridge Bus Terminal, cuz anyway it seems that there is currently no bus connection between Dover MRT Station and Kent Ridge Bus Terminal.
