Hi mr array88, haha. Didn't they survive today since today is over? I saw that they have drawn out another 4 yellow boxes with marking for bus to park. Furthermore, they have already planned to introduce Sbs 382G/W next month. This should be a happy problem. Now it is just like the super crowded tampines bus interchange which is equally bad. Buses also take a long time to come out of tampines interchange. Cheers. Thanks.

What's the point of doing that to 117? You lose the direct link for workers in SAP to Punggol + increase traveling time to Yishun for Punggol residents. Moreover, there is 85. A big NO NO.

132 to cover up the lost link of 165.
I like your suggestion. Not bad. This will connect ave 3 / thomson to sengkang west town. At same time, people won't be inconvenienced much as there is 132 in parallel to Macritchie.
The point that needs to be considered is HG Ave 8 v/s HG Ave 2. How will that be mitigated? 25 is the only one that will cover up but only until AMK Interchange. Given that there is huge demand from both HG Ave 8 and HG Ave 2, this seems unlikely to happen, otherwise great suggestion.

Isn't there an empty field just beside Punggol Int, is it possible they expand the interchange (even though this is just a temp int, but still...)?

There are plans... in fact was announced in strait times more than 6 months ago that both Hougang and Punggol will have extended interchanges.
Same was for Tampines and Sengkang, whose extended interchanges had to be ready by Q3/Q4 2015 but no sign yet.

Of course la. Bus Services 117 and 118 are very-long trunks and they each need three parking lots; total six parking lots. How many available parking lots were there in Punggol Bus Interchange?
Punggol Bus Interchange has 38 parking lots.
Punggol has 15 bus services, of which 13 are very-long trunks (more than 16km) and need three parking lots each; only 2 need two parking lots each. If go by that definition, actually, 43 parking lots ((13 x 3) + (2 x 2)) are needed. but there are only 38.
Prior to the launch of bus services 117 and 118, the (13) bus services at Punggol Bus Interchange required only 37 parking lots (43 - 6). There was an excess of 1 parking lot, thus why traffic was smooth.
But now, there is a shortage of 5 parking lots. That is why have jam.
Thankfully, this space crunch is only temporary. There will be an additional 13 parking lots at Punggol Bus Interchange by year 2017 when the bus interchange expansion is completed.
Saw this newspaper article ("Tired of the hikes, SUTD students share bikes to commute between Expo MRT and campus"; 21 December 2015) about students of the SUTD using bicycles for first-and-last mile travel, because apparently "it takes 15 minutes to walk the 1km from the Expo MRT station to the" campus and there is no bus service running between the MRT and the campus.
Indeed, the nearest bus stop is at Upper Changi Road and it is around 100-300m away from parts of the campus.
So, I thought, why not have a new bus service that runs along Somapah Road and calls at some MRT stations? This would make it easier for the students of SUTD to get to the campus from a MRT station.
The route is around 14.2 km and it takes at least 22 mins to run the bus service.

dont forget 382 which will require 2 lots
The interchange expansion should hold:
43 (3)
43M (2)
117 (3)
118 (3)
382 (2)
13 lots. just enough

I think becoz partial of Changi South Ave 1 is under construction for Downtown Line 3. Maybe have to bear with it lorhx. But then with the current Changi Business Park Terminal, they got access with the buses to the nearest MRT Station...

Following should be the allocation of 38 parking lots
3 - 02 (02 slots at Tampines)
34 - 03
43/M - 04 (43 will have 02 slots at UEC)
50 - 02 (At Bishan, 02 slots)
62 - 03
82 - 02
83 - 02
84 - 01
85 - 02 (given 12-15m frequency, 02 slots are enough, 01 slot at Yishun)
117 - 01 (02-03 slots at Sembawang)
118 - 01 (02-03 slots at CBP)
119 - 02
382 - 02
386 - 01
This makes 28 slots.. still have 10 parking slots. What do you think?

impossible. 117 and 118 alr has arnd 2-3 buses in punggol at a time
Bus 108 Geylang Lorong 1 - Sengkang
Sims Avenue
Aljunied Road
Upper Aljunied Road
Upper Serangoon Road
Serangoon Central
YCK Link/Road
Sgoon North Avenue 1/3/4/5/6
AMK Avenue 5
Buangkok Green
Buangkok Link/Crescent (two directions, something like bus 155 along macpherson estate)
Buangkok Green
Buangkok Drive
Sengkang Central
Compassvale Drive/Road
Advantages:
- Relieves loading of 100 from Aljunied MRT to Upper Aljunied estate (Future Bidadari)
- Link from S'goon MRT to S'goon North estate without the big round in S'goon garden
- Relieves loading of 101, link of Buangkok Link/Crescent residents to Buangkok MRT (Future BTOs building there)
Cons:
- Tried to start from Sims Place but difficult to solve the problem of relieving 100's load
- Kind of winding along S'goon North estate, however there's bus 43 for the people who want the direct link from S'goon to Buangkok
- Double deck deployment impossible due to Upper Aljunied Road
- Bus 315 might be kind of redundant with this route
It's my first time doing this so please feel free to feedback :)
Service 108

Sengkang Int
Sengkang Square
Compassvale Drive
Rivervale Drive
Punggol Road
TPE
KPE
Airport Road
Eunos Link
Jalan Eunos
Still Road
Marine Parade Road
Amber Road (loop)
1. Ease service 86's huge loadings @ Sengkang Int to Rivervale & Punggol Rd to Rivervale
2. New connection from Rivervale to TPE bus stop to quicker transfer to east side
3. I think the direct connection from TPE bus stop to Eunos/Marine Parade will be a popular route as anyone from Woodlands, Yishun, Punngol etc. will take this route.
4. In addition, from Eunos there are loads of bus options (MRT too) to transfer to other places.
I initially wanted to extend it further from Sengkang to serve perhaps Buangkok or Fernvale area (?) but the route will become too long. If there was a terminal at Marine Parade, then maybe can extend to YCK.

Rationale/Pros:
- Link areas such as Upper Thomson (Sembawang side) - Nee Soon Camp Area to Khatib MRT instead of relying on 169 for Yishun
- Provide more options for AMK Avenue 10 Residents
- Ease loading of 169/856 along Admiralty Road West which I noticed that you guys have mapped to huge loadings on weekdays, also directing portion of the crowd to Sembawang MRT instead
- Less reliance on unreliable 138 for AMK Ave 5 residents
Cons:
- Winding route
- Spoils the 5X series in Bishan Interchange lol
- Acts more as a support service in many areas; less the unique connection to Khatib from Upper Thomson areas

I would suggest this service until Bishan Interchange can get an expansion... Too cramped up already the interchange.

No space at either of the bus interchanges. West side still has Bt Batok and east side has AMDEP, but routing to either seems counterproductive. Thomson - Serangoon section also duplicates 156, Petir - Whitley Rd duplicates 966.
Other than those, it's nice to see new links.
