Introducing a service will definitely have sufficient demand and ease the crowds.
Guess there's always a reason why LTA hasn't introduced such a service? Due to low profits, unwillingness to upset private operators, or are they simply not aware of this demand?

210: Bishan Interchange <> Shunfu Road (loop)

I was checking the Beeline routes and found out 4 new services (B46-B49) to Changi Naval Base. I wanted to suggest a peak-hour service, and after some modification, I came up with this instead.
Extension of svc 17A: Service 44 & 44M
44: Bedok - Changi Naval Base (Loop)
(Operation during peak hours only)
44M: Bedok - Tanah Merah MRT (Loop)
(Operation during off-peak hours when 44 is not operating)
https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zvASY1AjT64M.kx34hn591RE4&usp=sharing
- New public bus from Tanah Merah MRT to Changi Naval Base
- Link from Bedok North Ave 4 to Tanah Merah MRT, for more direct MRT transfers and to connect to other services at Tanah Merah MRT (e.g. 12, 24, 38, 47)
- New service for Upp Changi Rd and Tanah Merah Kechil Rd which don't have a service today (although there were old bus stops)
- Improve utility and uniqueness of 17A
- Can be amended to Changi Airport T5 once it opens
Cons:
- Changi Naval Base may not have sufficient demand (but Xilin Ave does)
- Too windy around Tanah Merah
Service 18 extension and amendment: Pasir Ris - Bedok (Loop)

not sure Changi Naval Base will have much loading to warrant buses. Xilin is doing well with 35 + within walking distance for many complexes you have 20, 47, 118.

What's with the mess of roads at Pasir Ris and Tampines Street 92? Is the service going to start at Bedok and loop at Pasir Ris?
Proposed future amendment of service 927:
To complement 307 at CCK North 5. AM/PM peak to & from Yew Tee industrial estate / Mandai camps is in reverse direction from residents' travel direction in general.
I hate this version of google maps. you cannot use fancy colors and line styles like you could do in the earlier version.
For instance this map I had created months back on Sengkang Int routes.
https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zAHrqvntcAUY.kdTwgLl_ZnBo&usp=sharing
Now this is not possible. Anyone knows the cheat code to use colors to show different routes?

Not sure what you mean by that, I see the routes having distinctly different colours. Except that they are all under a single map layer, which means I cannot toggle individual routes on/off. If you want to toggle the routes, you can place them on different layers.
Style-wise, I can currently only change the colours (among limited choices) and the width/thickness of individual lines. There doesn't seem any way to use additional colours and styles (dashed, dotted, etc.)
Also, which web browser are you using? Would it help if you switch to another browser?

Note that this link he posted was created months ago. I think what he meant is that nowadays Google Maps does not allow any change in colours and all routes will appear blue (even if they're on different layers). Unless you manually draw the lines yourself.
You can compare this Sengkang Int map with the 210/211 map or 44/44M map in this thread if you don't get what I mean..

Fully support. Provided that there's no space constraint problems at Bt Merah.
Though I'm surprised why this route wasn't extended earlier as with 123 and 124, if bunching has been a long-time issue ...

Good consideration for the direct AMK-TPY link plus the use of Lor 2/3, but route is now considerably longer for 134. Not sure why you wanted to split up this section of 105?

Unlikely to happen in the near future, there's already 85, 103 and 117 bridging the north and northeast. There's little demand that warrants such a direct connection as well.
Though I would really like to see a SLE express route from Sembawang Rd / Upp Thomson Rd, it's probably not worth introducing a brand new service. Amending one of the Lentor Ave routes (39, 85, 858, 965, 969) over (only if it can cope with the demand) may be good enough.

It's a good suggestion. I see lot of advantage of introducing such an amendment, but will cause some inconvenience to Rivervale residents who transfer at Punggol road / Jalan Kayu stops. So unlikely LTA will take the bold step.
