Isnt 173 a loop service though it enter Clementi ITH?

AMK INT> AMK Av 8 > Bishan Rd > Braddell Rd > Lornie Road > PIE/BKE (Express) > BPJ Rd > Pending Rd > Petir Rd > Jelebu Rd > BPJ ITH
1. New direct connection between Bishan/AMK and BPJ/Pending, as well as to MINDEF. Commuters can leverage on this connection by connecting onto other services at Bishan such as CCL. Will also be popular with students studying in RI & CHS
2. LRT transfer available at Pending to serve other parts of BPJ most efficiently.
3. However, given traffic situations along PIE/BKE this route may not be most ideal.
Total route length - 16.4 km/16.4 km D1/D2
Average frequency - 12 to 15 mins
Proposed fleet - 13 SDs
At the rate things are going with 68 & 76, I doubt the Joo Chiat area or Kembangan will receive new services, sigh, so here I go again
46 (Eunos <> Jalan Kembangan - LOOP)
Eunos Int > Sims Av > Still Rd > Koon Seng Rd > Dunman Rd> Haig Rd > Amber Rd > Marine Parade Rd > Siglap Rd > Changi Rd > Jalan Kembangan (Loop) > Frankel Av > East Coast Rd > Siglap Rd (Same route back to Eunos Int)
1. New connection for Haig Rd & Koon Seng Rd with Eunos MRT & Parkway Parade.
2. New connection between Siglap/Frankel/East Coast Rd with Marine Parade Rd
3. New connection between Kembangan MRT and Marine Parade Rd
4. Enhanced connectivity between Kembangan MRT and Frankel Av. Now 42 only provides one-way connection to Kembangan MRT.
Total route length - 17.2 km
Average frequency - 10 to 17 mins
Proposed fleet - 7 SDs
I believe 164 will be used for Sengkang once the extension is ready.

Sims Place area is really quite poorly served I feel. There are very few connections to nearby amenities.
I would suggest extending 140 up to Sims Place and thus follow 20's old route. This would provide connectivity to Kallang Swimming Complex, Kolam Ayer CC, Geylang Bahru Market, Upper Boon Keng Market etc. Only problem is that this will duplicate 64 to some extent as these destinations can be reached by walking from Bendemeer Rd. However, as Bendemeer is a one-way street, 64 really only provides a one-way connection. Walking out to Serangoon road is very far.
Of course, as has been discussed in LTA BSEP Part 4, truncating 76 at Sims Pl would also create a connection to Geylang Rd/Paya Lebar.
I reiterate my extension of 11 up to Sims Pl.
Other than that, I would also propose this service.
Service 126 (Sims Pl <> Eunos)
Sims Pl Ter > Sims Dr > Aljunied Rd > Lor 22 Geylang > Guillemard Rd > Cassia Link > Old Airport Rd > Haig Rd > Amber Rd > Marine Parade Rd > Siglap Rd > Frankel Av > Changi Rd > Jln Turi > Eunos Int
1. Two-way service between Sims Pl estate and Aljunied MRT. Right now 125 only provides one-way service.
2. Connection between Sims Pl and amenities in Guillemard (i.e. Singapore Badminton Hall, Kong Hwa Sch, Mountbatten CC) , Old Airport Rd (Old Airport Rd Food Centre, Dakota MRT)
3. Connection between Sims Pl and amenities at Marine Parade/Katong. Plus, enhances connection to Parkway Parade from Dakota MRT which is served by 31 only.
4. Serves the full stretch of Marine Parade Rd to connect all schools, and provides a new connection to Changi Rd & Frankel Av.
Total route length - 11.4 km
The other alternative is Sims Pl Ter > Geylang East Central > Paya Lebar Rd > Tanjong Katong Rd > Marine Parade Rd (Continue with same route to Eunos)
1. Connect Sims Pl to ammenities at Geylang East Central such as Geylang East Library and Geylang Swimming Complex
2. Connection from Geylang East Central to Marine Parade
However, this would remove the connection between Sims Pl and Aljunied MRT which I feel is much more pressing.

Might as well make 962 terminate at Sembawang and introduce one feeder from SBW to Admiralty Link

Yes, didn't really consider that pt.

Instead of Ulu Pandan and Holland Rds, use Commonwealth Ave West better. Can relieve 74 between Dover and NP.
Repost with amendments, considering the popularity of the Clementi Rd -- Dover MRT link:
======================
Service 184C: Bt Panjang - Dover MRT station (loop)
A variant of the service to enhance links from Bt Panjang to NP, SP and NUS-Utown. Allows for convenient transfers at Beauty World and Dover MRT stations.
was drawing on maps, when suddenly I realise I may have found the ultimate solution to improve the feeder bus routes in Jurong West Extension town.
I know I ever said before that I had found the best, but I feel that this is even better.
The whole idea is to re-route 242 to become like Sengkang's 372, while re-route 243G/W to become like Punggol's 382G/W.
242: Central 3 > Street 64 > Avenue 4 > Street 72 > Avenue 5 > Pioneer Road North > Street 63 > Street 65 > Street 62 > Street 61 > Street 63 > Pioneer Road North > Avenue 5 > Street 72 > Avenue 4 > Street 64 > Central 3
243G: Central 3 > Street 64 > Central 1 > Jalan Boon Lay > Avenue 4 > Street 75 > Street 82 > Street 81 > Street 71 > Street 61 > Street 62 > Street 64 > Central 3
243W: reverse direction of 243G.
The new length of 242 and 243G/W is only around 17.48 km to 17.98km, much shorter than the route suggestion I made previously. If implemented, this is only up to 2km longer than the current length of 242 and 243G/W.
Yet, it would accept so many people's requests and enhance so many bus connections.
The re-routed 242 would encourage people to use Pioneer MRT Station as an alternative to Boon Lay MRT Station, while enhance the bus connection between Jurong West Neighbourhood 7 and Boon Lay MRT Station.
The re-routed 243G/W would enhance (or make no difference on) the bus connection between Boon Lay MRT Station and Jurong West Neighbourhood 8, as it skips Pioneer Road North and uses Jurong West Street 71 to go directly to Jurong West Street 81. Although it would be a longer ride to/from Jurong West Street 75, most of the people who take 243G/W and 181 at Jurong West Street 75 actually stay along Jurong West Street 72... so, it's okay. in fact, it would make things right, cuz right now a lot of people at Street 72 walk long distance to Street 75 to take 243 and 181, just because 242 takes a longer route to Boon Lay MRT Station... by right, it's majority wins.... so, why not let 242 use the shorter route instead? :)
Meanwhile, 258 can be re-routed like this:
258 (to Joo Koon): Central 3 > Street 64 > Street 75 > Street 82 > Street 81 > Avenue 5 > Pioneer Road North > Avenue 4 > Street 61 > Street 63 > Pioneer Road North > Upper Jurong Road > Benoi Road > Joo Koon Circle
258 (to Boon Lay): reverse direction of 258 (to Joo Koon)
Because we don't think relying on hub-and-spoke only is a good thing.

Nope. The detour to the north makes it way too long, and there are alternative services serving the separate sectors already (187/963, 858, 85/965). If I were travelling between Bt Panjang and Sengkang, I'd rather take the MRT than this service.

No offense, but what's with this sudden re-interest in PL-style cross-island routes?
