I dont know about your idea for 117 actually. All of the routes from North to East travel to Yishun/Woodlands (apart from 117). Furthermore, there seems to be a high demand for the service from Punggol and this service is possibly the next 969. If you want a service from the East that connects with SAP, I can create a route which starts from Tampines then to Pasir Ris Central/Dr 3,12, to TPE/SLE then to SAP then back again on SLE towards Woodlands and towards Sembawang like how I create for 68. This may also improve connectivity to the place itself from Woodlands, SEM, PSR and Tampines.

Trunk service that only ply within neighbourhood

Isn't the new BSEP bus service 4 like that also - except it runs slightly out of Tampines, into the Loyang/Changi area? Well, what matters is the connections. I feel that my idea of bus 1 is unique to a certain extent, and would start with a medium ridership that grows in tandem with the new developments along Tampines Avenue 9.

Hi mr gekpohboy, big difference. Sbs 4 goes out of tampines. Sbs 1 stays in tampines. For bus services staying in the town, it must be a feeder. Cheers. Thanks.

True,860 another feeder like trunk..Duh.
ok, here's one route that very obvious will be introduced eventually:
Feeder bus service 323
Hougang - Buangkok Crescent (loop)
approximately 6.23 kilometres.
To a large extent, it duplicates bus service 101. Nonetheless, it provides a shorter/faster bus connection between Hougang bus interchange and Buangkok Crescent.
Besides, there will eventually be the need for a feeder bus for that area.
The first new BTO estate at Buangkok Crescent will be ready in Q4 next year. This new feeder bus service 323 can be launched in Q4 2017, right before the BSEP ends. Initially, with only one BTO completed (with only 467 units), the ridership may be low, but when all BTOs at Buangkok Crescent (with a total of 2,395 units) is completed by Q4 2018, one year after launch, the ridership may become high.

There is already 101 from Hougang MRT. Route just duplicates. 101 will eventually loop around Buangkok Crescent.
43M in future I suspect will become a new service say 104 that will do Serangoon Interchange <> Buangkok Crescent (loop) with scope of extending to Bidadari interchange, once Bidadari is up and running.

its common sense this route will take an hour...
Now it is my turn to propose a route. Today I shall propose a new feeder bus service sbs 387. Main objective is to serve the flats deep inside edgedale plains (near Punggol drive) and also a few flats (Punggol edge) at the other side of edgedale plains (near punggol field). This is kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Punggol bus interchange (punggol place)-> punggol central (3 bus stops)-> edgedale plains (horizon primary school side 1 bus stop) -> edgedale plains end (new bus stop after punggol drive) -loop-edgedale plains end (1 new bus stop) -edgedale plains (opp horizon and at greendale primary school 2 current stops)-edgedale plains (opp Blk 121 punggol edge BTO)- punggol field (Blk 108, 101C, after punggol road 3 stops)-> punggol interchange.
Total 12 bus stops. 9 current and 3 new. Serve new flats deep inside edgedale plains on both ends (after punggol drive and near punggol field). Most direct way for both sets of residents to interchange/mrt and most importantly will not cause major headache to existing passengers to divert current services to loop at both ends. Cheers. Thanks.

Can explain why you use Punggol Central on one side and Punggol Field on the other side?
Originally posted by SBS2652G:its common sense this route will take an hour...
I believe he did not intend for pax to use that route all the way from Ang Mo Kio to Punggol - it's more for connection to Seletar North Link.
Though I do feel that making that service go all the way to Ang Mo Kio may not be a good choice.
Service 164 (Ang Mo Kio to Sengkang)

Originally posted by array88:Can explain why you use Punggol Central on one side and Punggol Field on the other side?
Hi mr array88, here are my reasons.
1. Loop service so no need to use same road on 2 sides.
2. Punggol central -edgedale plains end (after punggol drive). Faster for residents (waterway) from bus int to home.
3. Edgedale plains (near punggol field). Faster for residents (punggol edge) from home to bus int.
4. For edgedale plains opposite greendale primary school, the bus stop is only 1 direction. So my proposed route suits this very well. No need to build bus stops in both directions.
Cheers. Thanks.

I connect it to Ang Mo Kio is so that people from other parts of Singapore can take train to Ang Mo Kio station and transfer to this service to get to Seletar Aerospace and the Seletar North Link la, so that they do not have to take train all the way to Punggol to take this service. It takes around 1.5 hours to travel between Jurong West and Punggol. If we can take this bus service from somewhere else that is nearer, it would be better. That's why I connect it to Ang Mo Kio.
Actually, come to think about it, I think connect it to Bishan would be better. Bishan more centralised than Ang Mo Kio, in terms of transport connection to the Western part of Singapore.
I know majority of Singapreans stay in the East, but please do not neglect the Singaporeans staying in the West leh... many of us were once East siders, who move over to the new flats in the West when they were built, after we get married and set up new family, etcetera.... we are also Singaporeans, just like you all East siders. Please do not forget about us. :(
Regarding some of the new services proposed, I created 5 new routes which I would explain time after time. Part 1/5
102 would be renumbered as 102G/102W in which both services separate from Sengkang. 102G would serve Jalan Kayu first while 102W would serve Seletar North Link first via Seletar Link and TPE. Here is how 102W works like 102G from the other way: Sengkang East Rd>TPE>Seletar Link>Seletar North Link>Seletar West Link>West Camp Rd>Seletar Aerospace Dr>Jalan Kayu>following the normal 102 route towards Hougang
