If there is a need for a route to Bt Batok, here is what I thought:
(Part 2/5)
884 (Sembawang to HarbourFront)
via
Sembawang Way
SLE/BKE
Bukit Panjang Rd
Bukit Batok Rd
Jurong Town Hall Rd
West Coast Rd
Telok Blangah Rd

Dont dream LTA wanna introduced this type of long distancs trunk anymore. The most is Sembawang to BPJ.882 is just like a feeder despite its trunk status.
I know, its my imagination, unless if really need to be serious
Route modification 258
Joo Koon Interchange >> Upper Jurong Road >> Pioneer Road North >> Pioneer MRT >> JW St 61 >> JW St 71 >> Jurong West Ave 5 >> Jurong West St 81/82 >> Jurong West St 71 >> JW St 61 >> Pioneer MRT >> Pioneer Road North >> Upper Jurong Road >> Joo Koon Interchange.
Fleet size: 06 buses.
Frequency: 09-10 mins
* Provides direct Pioneer MRT connection to Jurong West Ave 5 that only has sv 242 doing a long loop to Boon Lay MRT
* Improvement in frequency and reliability given that bus does not have to get stuck at Boon Lay
* Removes redundant part of route to Boon Lay where buses usually leave interchange with < 15 pax even during PM peak hours
Route Modification for 256
Joo Koon Interchange >> Benoi Road >> Jalan Ahmed Ibrahim >> Pioneer Road / Pioneer Road North >> Pioneer MRT >> JW St 61 >> JW St 62 >> JW St 65 (new stop) >> JW St 64 >> JW Ave 4 >> JW St 61 >> Pioneer MRT >> Pioneer Rd North / Pioneer Rd >> Jalan Ahmed Ibrahim >> Joo Koon Interchange
Fleet: 05 buses (2 DDs, 3 SDs)
Frequency: 12-14 mins
* Connects Jurong West Ave 4, St 65/64 to Pioneer MRT (providing alternate option to sv 193 along ave 4)
* Removes redundant section between Boon Lay and Pioneer
Amend 95
Buona Vista - Clementi Avenue 3
46 - Changi Business Park > Bishan
Changi Business Park Ter
Changi South Ave 1 (follow 47's route to Xilin Ave)
Changi Business Park Ctrl 2
Changi South Ave 2
Changi South Ave 1 (CG2)
Xilin Ave
ECP
East Coast Park Service Road (share 401's stops from Cable Ski Park to Rengent Bowl)
Still Road South (Express)
Marine Parade Road
Amber Road
Haig Road (new bus stops)
Dunman Road
Tanjong Katong Road
Paya Lebar Road (EW8 / CC9)
MacPherson Road
PIE (Jalan Toa Payoh)
Toa Payoh Lor 6/1
Toa Payoh Rise (CC17)
Thomson Road
Marymount Road/Lane
Bishan Street 21/11 (CC16)
Bishan Int (CC15 / NS17)
Notes:
> Route too long, possible to end at Toa Payoh instead of going to Bishan.
> New bus stops at Haig Road.
> Supplementary service to 35 (Xilin Ave), 401 (East Coast Park) and 410G/W (Bishan Street 21).
> Direct connections between CBP and East Coast Park/Marine Parade, as well as between Paya Lebar and MacPherson/Toa Payoh (more direct than 28).
> Majority or full SD fleet, as there may be duplicating services from Marine Parade to Paya Lebar, and Haig Road may restrict the use of DDs.
256 is supposed to serve the deleted sector of 257...but I suppose it would better if it is amended that way...at least it would not have the worst loading
If you want a route to SEM from Sengkang, better amend 117 to Sengkang instead to be very conservative. At least 85 can cover between Sengkang & Jalan Kayu
When Canberra is completely done, I expect the demand for 858 excessively high as it is the only bus to CGA from North, therefore I invented this route
889 (Sembawang to Changi Airport)
via
Sembawang Dr
NSE
Toa Payoh Lor 1,6
Jalan Kolam Ayer (covers part of lost sector of 989)
PIE
Airport Boulevard
(might be too long but it is a straight-forward route serving only 2 areas and mostly an express service)
Thoughts?

For bus services that utilize the expressways, the speed of the service should be the primary consideration in terms of connection provision, while route distance should be a secondary consideration, since express sectors are supposed to reduce travel time for bus services.
However, in all seriousness, having a permanent bus terminal structure for Changi Airport would really alleviate the route length issues of most existing airport bus services.

Don't forget the DD height clearance at airport...

Maybe lives along Jurong West Ave 1... next he will ask a direct service for his wife to go to Alexandra road and will demand 99 to be extended to terminate at Harbourfront... routes cannot be planned based on individual needs...
Best for him is to take 198 to Boon Lay or 98 to Lakeside depending on which part of ave 1 and take EWL to Outram.

881 introduced can divert 858 to Gambas straightway to Yishun and expressway no need to go Sembawang.
In my opinion, Canberra and Sembawang are relatively close. I think the residents in Canberra do not mind taking 117 to SEM since it is only 6/7 stops away. Furthermore, when I calculated the estimated journey for 889, the time to CGA (loop) from SEM only takes 35 min via Toa Payoh. Now that is comparative.
As for Sengkang, I think 27 is enough to cover since it takes less than an hour to get to CGA from there, faster than the MRT. Even better when people along TPE can take 858 (amended) straight to CGA.

Close but still consume time..Why must from Sembawang all the way to TPY then to Airport?
It might be time-consuming but the situation is typical, just like if you live in Fuchun you have to take 912 and transfer to 858 if wanna go to CGA fast
I made this route serve Toa Payoh as SEM and TPY are not far; only a 15 minute drive. Furthermore, TPY is a mature estate with currently no route to CGA from there, in addition to the removal of 989 leaving out missing direct links. I want every estate to benefit from CGA services which serve as alternatives of MRT to serve areas not served by the MRT system, such as Pandan Gardens, in which I plan for a route to CGA from west

15 minutes is for cars. Buses will need to take longer. Just a sembawang to upper Thomson takes already 20+ - 30 mins.

27 still serve tampines. And 27 serves the central part of sk. Mine suggestion is to serve the west.

Service 110: Jurong East Int - Dairy Farm Rd (loop)
Connects various residential blocks (including upcoming estates at BB West) to MRT stations (Jurong East, Bt Gombak, Bt Panjang, Cashew) schools (Princess Elizabeth Pri, MI, Dulwich, Swiss Cottage, ITE West, Fajar Sec, Chestnut Dr Sec) and malls (JEM, Big Box, Junction 10, any upcoming malls at BB West).
Makes a small loop to Bt Batok Rd for ease of transfers to/from 160 and 180. Deliberately doesn't pass by Bt Batok Central / Int / MRT (following the likes of 118), as that can be taken over by a new BB feeder.
Originally posted by SBS9252G:I'm wondering if ulu pandan depot is out, will BBDEP and ARBP still operate?
ARBP can be another place as terminal too.
I wanted to post this a few days ago but couldn't open Google Maps then...
Service 48 and 91 amendment:
https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zvASY1AjT64M.kQppSDlmj6Lg&usp=sharing
- 48 extended to ARBP via Buona Vista MRT and Biopolis
- 91 amended to loop at one-north Ave via the northern branch of Ayer Rajah Cres, skipping ARBP (replaced by 48)
- Improve bus service coverage in one-north area (e.g. one-north Ave/Cres/Link, Biopolis)
- Connection from Buona Vista MRT to Holland Ave (where there's only 106 at Commonwealth Ave with long walk), although 48 may be a bit windy
- 48 can operate as 48M and terminate at Buona Vista Ter on weekends if demand between Buona Vista and ARBP is low
Cons:
- Connection from ARBP to one-north MRT and Commonwealth Ave West is lost
- Frequency from Buona Vista MRT to ARBP may be a problem given 48's length
