Bro,If Punggol is ulu then Jurong West particularly also ulu leh.In future Punggol is one of the biggest estates along with Jurong/Woodlands/Tampines/Bedok..

Service 74A Buona Vista Terminal - King Albert Park MRT (buses will downroute from King Albert Park MRT towards Buona Vista after completing a trip of 74A)
Supplements Svc 74 between Buona Vista MRT and Dover MRT and from Dover MRT to Ngee Ann Poly and SIM
With SWT 74A, I think Svc 74 can operate on a full DD fleet with 74A operating at 10-15mins frequency (full SD with 1-2 DDs, 74e SDs will operate as 74A before/after performing a trip of 74e)
I've often noticed a very huge crowd at Dover MRT during AM peak (towards SIM/NP) and after school hours where SP students go back to their homes (notably after 3pm) and I feel that Svc 74A can help to boost the frequency.

The crowd between NP/SIM and Dover MRT/SP has always been there, just that svc 74 is relatively less crowded btw King Albert Park MRT and Marymount/AMK nowadays, cause many students now transfer to MRT instead. Good suggestion nonetheless.

- Introduce new service 46 to serve the more inner areas of the estate, including the deleted sectors of 20. If need be, start from Loyang Depot and use short section as short-trip; else, CBP Term is sufficient.
(Don't need to go all the way to Pasir Ris Central unless there is demand)

- Loyang Ave (return route: Old Tampines Rd / New Loyang Link)

It can just be 74M from Buona Vista to King Albert Park MRT (Loop).
And, what about the HGDEP SDs on 74?

When I planned the idea of 74M, I thought that 74M could use a full SD fleet from both HG and BBDEP, but thanks for pointing it out.
I think I'll just let the HGDEP SDs run on split and weekends, the SDs can help to relieve the load and pick up any passangers left behind/those who missed the previous bus

I prefer to just remain as it is... Service 74 is one of my favourite bus to board during my school days...
Maybe if want then I would rather have the shortworking trip Svc 74A

Hi mr sbs6853S, noted. However, the authorities did take this Jalan Kayu into account and opened the wider sengkang west road in parallel link to TPE and shortened/closed a section of Jalan Kayu. You expect more jams if another new service is launched to ply Jalan Kayu. Thanks.

Yes I have to agree with dupdup77. This is bcos along the road there are many vehicles coming in and out of the shophouses and I have seen many drivers struggling to get through the tight road, unless the road is widen in one way or another, but it might be best to leave that portion to 102
On the other hand, I thought that 164 can alternatively ply Sengkang West Rd instead, though that would mean skipping connections to other services

I learned svc 85 route and i would like to say that there is more than enough service passingby this narrow and dangerous route.There are many accidents waiting to happen if the BCs is not alert enough.When you stop at the bus stop,The vehicles will try hard to squeeze and overtake you even if you signal to move off..

You can actually make 104 enter Piccadilly as well. Make a right turn to TPE then turn left to Sengkang West Rd. The route structure in Yishun can be improved if it follows 103 towards Yishun int where many employees alight. Otherwise a very good route

in yishun, most alight at blk 419 to transfer to 804 or 806, thus this routing to parallel 806

SAP is doing okay for now. I don't see the need to introduce additional services. What SAP needs is more DDs on 103. It is well connected today.
103 to Yishun and YCK Road, Serangoon
117 to Khatib, Yishun, Semabawang and Punggol
Both 103 and 117 give people the option to transfer to other services at Seletar Circus to go to Pasir Ris, Tampines, Bedok, Sengkang Rivervale, Woodlands.
In future, once SAP develops further, 102 can be extended into SAP to provide direct connection to Sengkang MRT and Buangkok/Hougang Town.

Good, then you can deploy DD on 15. Maybe still make 150 ply Marine Cres since Eunos is technically the nearest MRT to the estate. Then Marine Terrace can be looping point for a 42 extension via Frankel > East Coast Rd > Telok Kurau Rd > Marine Cres (loop) :P
