Ave 9 is indicated by the black box.
So 68 does use a small part of Ave 9, but not the entire stretch like 27. Of course it's always possible that 68 will only be introduced as Ave 10 - Ave 9 direct, and will only be amended into Tampines North in 2019.
The link to the map is still available online, even though the pointers had been removed.

The route of 68 is a little weird. Why does it branch out into two?
Maybe it is because it could terminate at Tampines interchange extension or Tampines interchange. Since they are not sure, they show both??
Yes from the looks of it, 68 seems to be entering Tampines North. Too soon!!
Originally posted by array88:After checking the URA Master Plan, I guess the route in Tampines should be like this:
(Red line seems more likely than blue line)
should be tampines ave 10 --> tampines link --> tampines industrial st 61 (extended) --> tampines ave 11 --> tampines ave 6 (extended)...
tot someone say it will start in July???
Service 68 may be launched under GAG in the first tranche of bus services handover.
1st tranche should be some Pasir Ris services, 2nd tranche should be Punggol services. 3rd tranche will be the remainder services from Pasir Ris and Changi Village.
If it is introduced under SBST, the buses should be in Lush Green with no logo (to save the cost of repainting the buses).
(Suggestion) New Bus service under GAG:
Punggol Interchange
Punggol Central
Punggol Road
Compassvale Drive
Sengkang Central (Buangkok MRT)
Buangkok Drive
Buangkok Link

The map shows that Go-Ahead will be taking over New Bridge Road Terminal ... is that right?
Originally posted by AJQZC:The map shows that Go-Ahead will be taking over New Bridge Road Terminal ... is that right?
New Bridge Road is shown coz Services like 2 and 12 terminate at New Bridge Road
Originally posted by SBS 9256 X:New Bridge Road is shown coz Services like 2 and 12 terminate at New Bridge Road
That doesn't explain why some other interchanges and terminals are not labelled. Such as Tampines (for 3 / 68), Changi Business Park (118) and Upper East Coast (43).
In fact NBR won't even have a majority of Go-Ahead services after the transfer of 2 and 12.
Originally posted by AJQZC:The map shows that Go-Ahead will be taking over New Bridge Road Terminal ... is that right?
Guess it's just their typo.
If Go-Ahead is indeed taking over NBR, services like 120, 121 and 122 will definitely need to be transferred - which doesn't make sense.

Hi mr AJQZC, the official contract states Go ahead Singapore only takes over pasir ris int, Punggol int, changi airport, changi village terminal. Cheers. Thanks.

Go Ahead will not control NBR,Loyang to Eu Tong Sen St is very far my friend..And what about the BCs?Spend hours just to take trains/buses to get home at East/Northeast from NBR?68 will be inside the 25 service package and it will passby outside Tampines Int.

Tampines town route modifications:
Service 18:
- Bedok Int [EW5 Bedok]
- Bedok North St 1 (non-stop)
- Bedok North Ave 2
- Bedok North Rd
- Bedok North Ave 3 [DT30 Bedok Reservoir]
- Bedok Reservoir Rd
- Tampines Ave 1 (near [DT31 Tampines West] )
- Tampines Ave 2
- Tampines St 11 (via 292's route; skipped on return route)
- Tampines Ave 2 (non-stop)
- Tampines St 12
- Tampines Ave 4 [EW2/DT32 Tampines]
- Tampines Ave 7 [DT33 Tampines East]
- Tampines Ave 9
- Tampines St 42
- Tampines St 43
- Tampines Ave 9
- Tampines St 45
- Tampines Ave 7 [DT33 Tampines East]
- (loop back to Bedok Int)
Comments:
- Retains connection between Tampines Ave 7 and Bedok, albeit in the reverse direction and with a slightly more winding route. Duplication with 21 is minimized.
- Removes duplicative section with 28 from Tampines Ave 2 - Bedok. Tampines Ave 2 residents can still commute via 28 to Bedok, 8 to Tampines Ave 7, or 20 to Tampines Central. Commuters at Blk 401/502 bus stops can still travel to Bedok via 168.
- Provides link from Tampines West MRT station to Tampines St 11 (return route is provided by amended 292)
- Provides two-way link to Tampines East MRT station to residents of Tampines Ave 9 and Sts 42, 43, 44, 45 (suppose 28, 29, 293 are not rerouted; they may have to be retained for connection to Tampines North Pr Sch & Tampines St 41).
- May require a significant fleet boost / transfer from 28 and 293.
Service 292:
- Tampines Int [EW2/DT32 Tampines]
- Tampines Ave 5
- Tampines Ave 4 [DT31 Tampines West]
- Tampines Ave 1
- Tampines Ave 2 / St 22 / Ave 2 / St 11
- Tampines Ave 1
- Tampines Ave 4 [DT31 Tampines West]
- Tampines Ave 5
- Tampines Int [EW2/DT32 Tampines]
- Link between Tampines East MRT station and Tampines St 32/33 may still need to be patched. This may be done by rerouting 291 to skip St 23 (for which there will need to be a replacement service).
Amended.
Service 18:
Comments:
- Not exactly a good replacement of the link to Tampines East CC with the walking distance, but at least the link to both Tampines East MRT and the interior of Ave 9 / St 42-45 is retained.
- From the deleted sectors along Tampines Ave 2, commuters going to Bedok can still board 17/28. Those going to Tampines Int can board 8/20/38.
Service 81:
Comments:
- If 291 is not amended, this is possibly the next best service to amend into St 32/34 to link with Tampines East MRT, considering the nature of other more demanding / non full-day routes such as 4, 8, 19, 37. Turning routes such as 3, 9, 12, 17, 34, 39, 59 and 518 have no way of being amended to serve both.

Still need a service to connect Tampines Ave 9, St 42/43/45/32/34 to Tampines East MRT. Why must 18 die die go to Tampines North, and then force introduce a new service? Cannot fully enhance current services? Tampines town not crowded enough (with buses) for you is it?

While it's good for CCK/BPJ residents to have a more direct service to Jln Toa Payoh (as compared to windy 985 or hard-to-access 966), the service is unlikely to be introduced / passed by LTA due to bus interchange constraints on both sides and alternative service transfers (e.g. 190 --> 105 or 190 --> DTL --> NEL). Perhaps not the time yet. But it may still be possible to have a BB --> BPJ --> Jln TPY --> Bidadari service in the future.

Because there are thousands of BTOs at Tampines North in future else why LTA need a bus int there? The only new svc at Tampines North i propose is only svc 1 and a couple of feeders.8 & 18 is just an extension and not a new svc if you look at it properly.
Tampines St 92 is missing the link to Tampines int, now that 68 is gone. Would it be okay if 292 makes an extended loop there and become a townlink?

Reasons:
- To provide fast access for CCK residents and NSL commuters travelling to NTU, Jurong West and Jurong Industrial Estate, bypassing the human-choked and traffic-choked Boon Lay Interchange
- To provide direct access for Jurong West residents and workers in Jurong travelling to CCK (where they can connect to NSL, BP LRT, or bus 190 towards the city)
- To relieve traffic along PIE/KJE during peak hours (Currently there's no bus service plying PIE/KJE between CCK and Jurong, resulting in heavy car traffic at peak hours)
- To relieve traffic along Pioneer Road North (southbound during AM peak hour, northbound during PM peak hour)
- To relieve burden along EWL between Jurong East and Boon Lay/Pioneer, and along NSL between Jurong East and CCK
- To provide fast access for tourists travelling between Jurong Bird Park and Singapore Zoo / Night Safari via a change at CCK
If LTA or SBST likes to maximise catchment, it can even extend the route to Bukit Panjang via Teck Whye Avenue so that Jurong West residents and Jurong workers can have a direct access to Downtown Line (which is seldom crowded while the EWL is packed to the brim), and residents living in Bukit Panjang and Teck Whye can have a direct access to Jurong West.
