Is it possible to built underground Int beside Redhill MRT?

This was discussed before, around 2014.
Conclusion: Not feasible, nor necessary.
Originally posted by carbikebus:Choa Chu Kang really need a new bigger Int with 3 alighting berths,5 boarding berths and 60 12m and 10 18m lots.
Pasir Ris need another alighting berth,1 more boarding berth and extra 10 parking lots.
Sembawang need expansion for future.
Don't need. If required, we can change bus routes to maximise resources.
Having excessive number of bus routes is not financially feasible.

Later waste time and money expanding here and there.
Bbdep also can expand to another 30-40 lots beside the depot. Can transfer to SMRT.
Punggol expansion parking lots opened 1st phase
Park 13 lots,Another 8 lots in March together with the boarding and alighting berth
Yishun Temporary Interchange
Sometimes common sense defeats me. As you walk through the mall to YTBI, the services for the berths are illogically allocated. I know I am talking about this too late.
But 804/860 is at the very end of YTBI where as 39, 85, 103, 854 are in the very front, who also have an option to take the service on MRT @ Yishun Ave 2.
I would recommend swapping the berths for 860/A, 804 and 39, 85, 103.
Next I would like to swap the berths for 854 with 803.

Hi mr carbikebus, 21 extra lots to add on to current 39. Total 60 lots. Adding 21 lots is a massive boost to the Punggol interchange. 21 lots will mean can add maximum 10 BSEP services over next 5 yrs. So from now on, can expect less jam and more new bus services coming. Cheers. Thanks.

Nay,Must educate those split shift PRC men that live in Punggol to bring back their buses to depot else you will still see jams..PGL originally got 37 lots only.
That's why i was so shocked when Hougang only get 13 lots..Hougang should have 20 lots and Sengkang Compassvale should have 25 lots.

The most is two service la bro,21 lots minus 5 SBST lots only 16,Nowadays everytime jams..
Hmm, news said Punggol only got 13 new lots (http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/bus-interchanges-terminal-to-be-expanded), so it's not that much. I also remember seeing a location plan of the expanded Punggol Int during Loyang depot open house, the current parking lots would be changed from being perpendicular to the driveway to being at an angle, similar to the new lots, which means current parking area would actually have fewer lots...

Hi mr carbikebus, unlikely. 2 new services cannot cover the ever expanding estate. By another 10 years time, it will be unrecognizable from current state. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr 201911, not 13 new lots. Just go down to Punggol bus interchange and see for yourself. 13 marking on 1 side and already in use. Plus another row on another side still being constructed. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr carbikebus, yes I saw it today. Buses are parked in the 13 new lots already. Still got another row in construction. Cheers. Thanks.

39 85 103 will have problems filtering to the right to make a turn

The strange situation is that, right now all bus services that enter / pass by Punggol town (excluding the TPE bus stop) terminate at Punggol bus interchange, much like Woodlands. That doesn't have to be the case in the future when we could have passing-by services.

Hi mr AJQZC, this happens because woodlands and Punggol are at one end of Singapore. Services which go until here basically has no other choices.
Soon if what mr carbikebus says is true, 84 will be returned to Sbs transit and be extended to compassvale int and loop at Punggol rd end via the set of bus stops outside Punggol int along Punggol place. This will happen when they launch new feeder 381. Anyway we shall see later. Cheers. Thanks.
But its possible for some YIS services to turn left instead of right twds Northpoint where the right turn often has buses cramming into one road, although that would mean stopping at one more stop before Northpoint but I dont think it matters

Can turn left. Or take the 2nd last berth.

Was that his suggestion or is it insider info?

Hi mr busanalyser, should be insider info. Anyway, let's just wait. Cheers. Thanks.
Proper boarding metal grilles have been installed at Changi Business Park Terminal, based on the images at landtransportguru.net.
Any info as to (any) upcoming services that would terminate there?
