Would be smart to do that ... CCK really needs it... Can introduce/extend some services there such as 700.

I really hope CCK will get bigger Int in future..Hopefully with 55 parking lots(42 12m/ 13 18m)..Not only 700 but 171 can ends there.
The land beside Buangkok MRT station has been re-zoned, from "residential" to "commercial and residential".
URA say that the re-zone of land is to initiate the upcoming integrated development plan, that would offer residents more housing options. This integrated development will also have an integrated transport hub, and commercial and community amenities.

The future Buangkok Bus Interchange will be developed soon. Meanwhile, a tender has been called for a bus interchange at Jurong Gateway Road.

I don't think so. With the MRT Jurong Region Line coming up, I have a feeling that the Choa Chu Kang and Jurong East new bus interchange capacity may be smaller, instead of bigger.
Because the Jurong Region Line could potentially reduce the need for buses.
Some of the bus routes at Choa Chu Kang, Jurong East and Boon Lay may become redundant once the Jurong Region Line begins revenue service.
Off Topic.
Gul Circle station, the empty platform will it be for EWL Tuas South extension or for JRL?
The delivery date for the Jurong Gateway Road bus interchange project is 7 August 2019.

Or maybe just merge both existing and temporary interchanges together..

tuas south. any news regarding it will be in the far future
I wonder why LTA doesnt built a bus park opposite SMRT Amdep when they built one for Woodlands?Save the hassle of parking at Loyang/Sembawang and Yishun..

Agreed. Buses still play an important role even after 2030 when Line such as JRL & CRL revenue service.
A tender for the new air-con Jurong East Bus Interchange?

700 is doing quite well. I don't see the point of axing it. Can be renumbered if they don't like that it is the only service with 7xx.
700 can further be extended to Boon Lay via CCK Road, CCK Ave 1, CCK Ave 6, CCK Ave 5, CCK Ave 3, Brickland Road, KJE/PIE, Jurong West Ave 2, Jurong West Ave 4, Jurong West St 64, Boon Lay Interchange.
If Service 700 is extended to Boon Lay Bus Interchange, the route will be very long

proper interchange? the old interchange was doing fine.... until they decide to demolish it to make space for integrated hub..but right now, they are building a NEW interchange (not integrated hub)..... and most likelyit will be at the land area where the old interchange is.. so what is the point of demolish the old interchange?
onemap.sg already show a new Jurong East interchange under construction (at where the old interchange is)....

To build a new road, and also a new condominium.
I don't think it's just a bus interchange. The two parcels of land actually can build two buildings along the MRT, about the size of JCube, or Jurong Regional Library.

New condo to replace Ivory Heights or Tampines Court, en-bloc sale integrated with a bus interchange, and new office building together.
B1: Carpark
L1: Air-Con Bus Interchange
L2: Walkway to the MRT & JRL Concourse
L3: NSEWL Platforms
L4: JRL Platforms
L5-L16: Condominium under the management committee

LTA build new condo?
not just bus interchange? then why the title of the tender put as Jurong east bus interchange?

not sure why LTA go and demolish the old interchange when they did not even have a proper planning for the integrated hub in the first place..
