So apparently there are new GCM buses in Bulim depot, mostly from the SBS Transit BSEP orders. These include Volvo B9TL and Citaro. The livery is unknown but apparently front or rear or both is white. Registration numbers starting with SG. SG1xxx for Citaro. SG5xxx for B9TL.
Depot transfer has been taking place, apparently those involving BUDEP, so facilitate the transfers. This is taking place both on SBS and SMRT sides. However, it seems that there are no new SMRT buses (MAN, Enviro 500) that are getting SG plates yet.
Currently no photos of the SG plates buses.
I prefer TT only takes Citaros,B9TLs and E500s only.

Oh yes, to take note. I may know why so far only SBS buses have been allocated to SG prefix GCM. The thing is, Citaro and B9TL both have outstanding orders. E500 does not have any outstanding order as all 201 are already delivered and given to SMRT. I am not sure about MAN A22 though. This can mean that TT will get some new SBS-BSEP buses but the SMRT-BSEP buses may be second hand.

There are 2 or 3 new regoless A22s at WLBP waiting...
The "Citaro" is like don't say anything about bus orders like that huh.
The MAN A22 may be don't say anything about the extra number of buses.
The ADL Enviro500 got said anything.
The MAN A95 may be also don't say anything about any bus orders.
Citaro say he bet 2295 one big one small, no extra number.
So we know SBS B9TL and Citaro will be registered new with SG plate. A22 also maybe. Enviro have to re-register if giving TT.
SG =singapore government i think. mean it our money that buy the bus from suppliers.
and we paid for company to operate the bus service for us.

Nah, maybe just SG for Singapore.

NO.
Hmm... SG plate...
So SG1001 onwards and SG5001 onwards? And these buses are SBS spec?
What about interior? Is the grabpoles also purple? Like that how give TT...

Yes. SBS spec. I haven't seen pictures but I believe that interior does follow SBS, such as seat covers and grabpoles.

interesting... this means if tower transit gets both the sbs spec GCM buses (Wright, Citaro) as well as SMRT ones (A22, E500), it will have a mixed fleet as in the interiors will also be mixed... wow. surprised though, thought in the end eventually there has to be a common interior.
also, interesting choice of 1xxx for Citaro and 5xxx for Wright... it more or less evens out the single and double decker lol. but should have started from 0xxx (start from 1) for Citaro, then really even got 5000 slots for each
Don't forget, in addition to Citaros and B9TLs, there will eventually also be MANs and Enviros under SG series. They've got to go somewhere. So the division may not be that equal.
I hope SBST decides to bring in Scania KUDs for its organic fleet, like how SMRT is getting MAN A95s, once the Wrights go over to LTA ownership.
It is very evident that a lot of people's interest in the bus scene in Singapore is either skin-deep, or delusional to an extent.
Please do yourselves a favour and read the news releases before wishing for buses with wings, or duck-tour style whatevers, or speculating on transfers like the way we change underwears.
How do you expect people to take you seriously for all the "professionalism" in opening threads to discuss "specific matters"?
Edit: The link doesn't work, so pasted below for your benefit.
8. Bus services in Singapore will be bundled into twelve bus packages with about 300-500 buses each. For a start, LTA will tender out three packages of bus services, starting from the second half of 2014 for the first package, for implementation from the second half of 2016. The contracts will be for five years, and can be extended by another two years on good performance. In total, the three packages will comprise about 20% of existing buses.
9. The other nine bus packages, comprising the remaining 80% of existing buses, will continue to be operated by the incumbent operators. LTA will negotiate with the incumbents to run the nine packages under the contracting model, for durations of about five years when their BSOL expire on 31 August 2016. After these negotiated contracts expire, more bus services will be gradually tendered out.

That's the way it is.
How do you expect them to suddenly appreciate fine dining when they were given bread crumbs to eat all their lives?
Hello all,
Please take note that the purpose of this thread is to post information about GCM buses such as registration and repainting (e.g. take note of when SG-plated buses are registered). Please do not post things such as "I hope LTA/SBS/SMRT/TT/whoever buys xxx model of bus". If you have anything that you still do not understand, kindly refer to the link that SBS2601D has helpfully posted. Thank you.

Ouch
Well, I guess that analogy will be extending to the future price of our bus services. I personally think it may be for the better. But I really doubt it will go down well with those who were given bread crumbs all their lives.

They are still in denial...and still lobbying their guts out.
There is no point trying to provide them a textbook and educate them. They will throw the book at you.
Perhaps they will learn only when they start paying $3.76 minimum for a bus ride.
