It used to be very rare to see a Volvo B9TL on 43 in PM shift, before the introduction of 43M.
SG5345K to SLBP (on 192 today)
I have a piece of old news:
The VO2X should have been operated on services 10, 17, 18, 22, 30, 51, 54, 55, 57, 58, 59, 60, 72, 97, 143, 174, 185, 333, 334 and 502 before their retirement, and not put it in JIS. This is because they can parade the last NAC buses. Hopefully they can retire before November 2010.
But there are always still LO3X, VO3X replacements - in that case they extend the lifespans to the bare maximum.
Anyway, non-BSEP Volvo B9TL Wrights has started deploying JIS services (246, 249, 251, 252, 254, 255 & 257) on 29 July 2014.

The BBDEP Wrights are really fast and furious, even the Voith ones.
At least for 74, 132 and 147.
SBS3004X SBS3765H > HGDEP ???
Suspected both to HGDEP 102.
For the missing bus on 43, still cannot confirm if it is SD or DD...
SG1154X is replacing SBS6499G or SBS6500K.

Depends,If their Techinicians finetuned then the acceleration is good..On the contrary what is fast what is furious for your terms? If you drive like a mad cow of course it will look fast n furious without regard of safety aspect..I knew many BCs loves to speed but sucks in braking.

The first one, Bulim is more like boarding SMB8018H in 900. They just grabbed the existing ones first.
The second one, Loyang is more like boarding TIB1104K in 900. The newer ones are also being deployed into Loyang Depot, together with the acquisitions.

Originally posted by SBS8002T:106 really needs more DDs deployed during off peak, when I take bus from Orchard and I see A22 on 106 arriving, I would wait for the next bus (usually I would just take 7 instead of 106 as 7 operates on nearly full DD as I don't want to stand from Orchard to Clementi)
In addition, I've observed 106 DDs towards Shenton Way empty and deployed after 1 A22 that is nearly fully seated with a few standees, otherwise, 2 106 DDs can bunch together or arrive less than 3mins apart with less than 30 pax each
I skipped the single deck, and waited for full 12 minutes, and the next still a packed single deck 106. Sbst 95 has a much higher capacity and frequency than 106. Haiz.
Shouldn't they allocate more dd on a sunday afternoon on a downtown ride ?

That's the problem with 106, their DDs tend to bunch or follow SD, 106 really needs more DDs during off peak instead of A22s, when I see 106 come SD before 7, I'll just wait for 7 to come, 7 runs on mostly DDs during off peak
In Dec 2015 I waited for 106/7 at Trader Hotel towards Clementi MRT, I waited for 106 after 1 SD 7 came (fully packed, it is a citaro), 106 came TWO SD together (both with standing available indication on app), I was really unhappy about it and did not board the 2 OC500LE that came tgt
Thankfully, I saw the app indicating 1 NWAB 111 and 1 WAB 111 arriving tgt (yellow loading, assume SD), so I skipped the citaro and boarded 9473K which arrived with less than 20 pax onboard (111 can have more than 50 people onboard once it reaches Grange Road on weekends evening/night so I'm not surprised the citaro is packed)

It's an no issues for me returning from town. For there are serveral services available, 7, 77,106.
I won't mind waiting for 7 if that's an option for me. Unfortunately my bus stop only has 106 fetching me to Orchard Road. Sure if 48 arrive, I will board it and alight at Holland Road. Sometimes 106 can be so pack and uncomfortable that I rather alight along Holland Road and board another service number to Orchard.
It is strange that bus routes servicing to Orchard may consider a weekend afternoons as Off-peak.
With so many new developments in Dover, Ghim Moh and Clementi, and we are still stucked with single decks. Look at 174. I believe 106 used to have more higher capacity buses than 174, and now the reverse is true.
Just can't wait for TT to take over SMRT.
Again with the DTL running, there are no excess capacity to redeploy to other routes?
I have seen 106 SD slowing down on purpose near traffic lights when there is a 106 DD behind, just so that the DD cannot pass the traffic light.
SBS3445G was on 102 yesterday, with both 43 and 102 perm stix.
Why is SBS9664B perm 14 on the Service 14 page, and perm 74 on the VO3X page?
Still nobody knows what the extra SLBP 105 bus is?
