Seriously,SMRT should just give up their Enviro 500s to TT,GA and the new Seletar winner(Which I seriously think foreign co).SMRT to maintain only MAN A22s,A95s,Volvo B9TLs,Citaros(Give them another 30 to make it 90) beside those OC500LEs and A24s.

Stupid logic... why should they give up the E500s when they are the ones who got the E500s in the first place??

Cannot suggest ah?Since they also heck care about E500 maintenance why not?LTA can always compensate them back with A95 what. You dont always think you're always right..Others cannot say a thing?Youre too over confident my friend!

That kind of damage it sustained I won't be surprised if they leave it for third parties to do the job and if the whole front/rear is gone it could be very costly to fix this alone and checking for affected electronic parts can cost way more than the base amount (atleast 10K or more if you ask me, my best estimate)

The Enviro 500s do look like they are quite fragile as compared to other types of buses.

No, the buses are likely transferred to Woodlands to enable Woodlands to start installing DDUs on their own buses.

Maybe because its much narrower in width compared to other buses?2.45m vs 2.5m?

The Enviros are 2.545m wide, not much narrower than a 2.55m wide Wright but the width of the vehicle doesn't matter, its the design of the bus, materials used and the build quality that matters.
Just 2 years on, and we can already see the difference in quality between Wrights and Enviros.

Since October 2015, LTA classifies TIB832Z as a vintage vehicle. But don't know whether will it get through LEZ or not. But the Striders/DM3500s/VO3X Batch 3 no.

I Saw this bus on 179A right now heading to Boon Lay.
196 is the only BBDEP/ARBP service without any perm Citaros from BBDEP/ARBP.
If I'm not wrong, 196 never had a perm Citaro from BB side before.
But a Citaro is useless on this service with the massive crowds from CBD.
If I remember correctly, 14 have perm SBS6271X. But it is gone now, with 1 missing SD.
I also remember someone posted a comment here years ago that 'a Citaro on 74 is as useless as a van on 96'.
But 74 still has so many Citaros even until now.
And he also said, 'Did 74 pax offend SBST?'
I think it is because 74 is a student service that makes losses due to concession fares for students, so SBST refuses to upgrade 74. Anyway someone else once said that 74 is the 'biggest student service in Singapore'.
But I don't think this will go on any further. I think 74 will become full DD soon since SBST is no longer collecting fares.

74 doesn't upgrade as of now. Reason being is there are multiple of services floating around, such as 52/184 to the nearest MRT stations. Got DTL, but they need to serve the connections.
Anyway, if need be in 2018, it will become full DD.

74 did get 3 SD->DD upgrades in past year. Also note that 74 buses are quite empty between AMK and Ngee Ann during PM peak. The loading is more between Ngee Ann and Dover (a small part of the route) and ofcourse very high in the opposite direction.
Has anyone observed alternate loading pattern on 74?
HGDEP got no more Voith CDGE.
