Bus at the bus stop, I saw the upper deck so empty with only about 10 passengers. Ask passengers to move up all give me the blank stare...
When I think of it, that service really requires high capacity bus but now come to think of it, waste of resources as passengers are too stubborn to move up even though it is just 4 or 5 bus stop away from Khatib MRT Station (Even for a 2 bus stop destination, I still move to the upper deck).
I guess I need to say my famous line.. Got ghost upstairs ah?
some people really like that. In the north it is common to see like that but in the east its the other way

Hi mr SBS9256X, people are being practical. Anything less than 4-5 bus stops, most people will not move upstairs for DDs. Old habits die hard. Cheers. Thanks.

This is NOT consistent with my observation. I have seen the DDs with 30-40 pax on upper deck.

There will be situations when this will happen when people in front don't want to go upper deck then those at back who want to go upper deck also cannot. Same thing observed with bendies. People don't want to go to rare part of bus and stand in front. The bus at back is empty. Observed that even on long routes like 190 and even on feeders like 806. Some people can be very lazy and it is super irritating.

That's what i know of also... Today is just like 10 - 15 pax on the upper deck and the rest just squeezing and cramping at the lower deck near the door

Practical? I wonder what so practical when even DDs being deployed on Townlink services in Tampines, passengers are able to go to the upper deck? Not gg to argue further.. Coz it will prolong without a solution...

People can be very inconsiderate. For those who don't know, 806 operates at 03 min frequency during peak hours.The other day 806 bendy came after 07 minutes and there was snaking queue for it.
People boarded and refused to go to the rare compartment. Only 60 pax boarded and it was difficult to take more pax in because some aunties stand in front and block the pathway. SC already late did not bother to ask aunty to go to back and just drove off with another 30-40 pax in queue.
Now because frequency is good next bendy came in another 02 minutes but people attitude sometimes sucks. When they can see so many people in queue and even SEATs in rare deck... just move to the back!!
