sv 193 got SD --> DD upgrade. Now operating with 8 DDs and 5 SDs. Since 192 previously was almost full fleet DD, the people on the route of new 193 (old 192) may be affected as 193 is spammed with lot of SDs.
DTL2 has had NO effect on 190 loading. 190 loading continues to increase with new flats in BPJ/CCK area.
sv 190 gets massive fleet upgrade.
Out of 11 rigids, 4 rigids converted to DD/Bendy, with NO reduction in buses.
Still operating with 42 buses, but 35 HC buses, 7 rigids.

SMRT can never compete with SBST in term of effiency.

They can operate with 36 HC and 4 rigids imho,Just adjust the split shift buses runtime.
DTL2 is running well by SBST. accassionally screwed up to 6min per trip in peak hours. Overall still not too bad with 2 min frequency. TT and Go Ahead entrance hopefully can wake up SMRT management
I love the 2min frequency on the Downtown line. However train stop times at some stations can be reduced.. For eg. Hillview, Stevens, Tan Kah Kee, Cashew and Rochor stations? It would save a lil bit of journey time but overall, time is money.
If only SBST could do this on the North East Line, it would be a major lifesaver. The trains during the peak hours are packed like sardines.

Not many pax would bother to take the DTL to Bukit Panjang then take LRT to CCK then take bus home.. it is too troublesome. Sv 190 is still the best option. Same for 972.. 972 directly connects pax from their homes in bukit panjang to town. Like for instance i have a friend living near teck whye. He prefers to take 190 from town home rather than taking the DTL. If DTL serves choa chu kang it would be a different story ;)
However i feel DTL has taken off some of Sv 171's and 700/700A's loading from Orchard towards Bukit Timah / Bukit Panjang. Sometimes 700 can run half full or empty from town during peak hours.

I know - that's what I kept saying from day 1 that DTL2 will not impact 190 and 972's loading.
Loadings that have been impacted are 67, 171, 700, 960.
But 171 and 700 still have good loading between Dunearn road and Orchard road as it is the fastest link. The loading drops right after. 700 comes to Whitley road bus stop on its way to BPJ with only 30-40 pax on board. But at Scotts road near Newton MRT, it has around 70 pax. So you can guess where the bulk of loading went. Same for 171.
960 likewise don't see super crowded buses anymore except weekends but it is because of workers near Mandai who go to Bugis/Little India area.
Please observe next week if 103 has got additional DDs. When I was on 43 last Friday, I think I saw 2 DDs, but could be a mistake and it was 109 instead.

Off peak at most 6-8 pax board at Sixth Avenue MRT towards Clementi, though I often see small crowds waiting at Sixth Ave MRT bus stop and I suspect they're waiting for 156. Didn't really observe during peak hours but will take note
duplicated post
Service 43 now has two 50% DD slots. (Each slot has a 50% chance to be done by a DD.)
Shockingly, if they both happen to be DD slots on the same day, it forms an off-peak DD stream. DD > SBS7703K > SBS9532Z > DD
4 consecutive DDs.
43 really needs a proper fleet add at the right time slot, not where it forms an off-peak DD stream. Can be 14 buses with 6 DDs and 8 SDs. During peak hours, it can have 23 buses with 20 DDs and 3 SDs. 5 SDs will crossover to 34. This is not a waste of manpower as some BCs on 34 just need to learn the 43 route, and some 43 BCs need to learn the 34 route, and it is an improvement of reliability. There are also less buses on 43M.
43M can have just 3 full-day SDs and 2 split shift DDs.
I have seen DDs with 70-80 pax during off-peak. I have even seen SDs packed to the door, with few students on board!

It may have been a cameo DD. I have seen SG5185E and SBS3503Y on 103 on the same day 2 weeks ago. SBS3503Y is still on 43 though.
912
Saturday & Sunday: Add 2 Reg (BSEP)
Duty: 912AP90, 912AP91
Bus: SMB3116R, SMB3093Y

Okay. But I hope 103 gets fleet upgrade soon. The loading justifies it.
Not sure if anyone agrees, but I think sv 31 can get few DD -> SD downgrades. I observe that the DDs in TPY -> Marine Parade area are not well utilized. SDs are able to tank the load.
21 on other hand has too many SDs, and should get SD -> DD conversion.

913 also have 3079P n 224G jz nw. suspect 1396L is doing 913 but not today. 3091C not spotted today. 962 have 3092A wich is hard to see on weekends. Suspect new slot also.
901 maybe need a new slot to cover the time entering the interchange
SMB5054Y spotted doing 180 today, spotted at opp BPP at 2015hrs...

Many did 190/180 before already. But full day? Yes. Also add SMB5891Y.

Ofcourse full day... good that 180 finally gets DDs... but there needs to be another DD order from LTA soon for SMRT.
180 could really use some DDs.. 184 too
