Today svc 3 reduce buses so some of the BCs have to be on standby duty and im lucky to get rostered from 0502-1041.
1st trip halfway from PGL Rd towards PGL Int,Break for 11 mins.
Then 1 trips back to PGL mealbreak for 34 mins.Last trip using that Citaro for 36mins mealbreaks again before jumping to SBS20T for the last trips.
BOCC even asked me 83 can use SD meh..Wakaka.
I feel its better to deploy 5 DD and 3 SD for weekdays and Saturdays.
Sundays and PHs can deploy 50/50.

Makes absolute sense.
48 is packed to door even on weekends since lot of workers take it from Marine Parade/Amber to Little India/Tekka Center. Can also run shortworking trip till there as post Little India, but becomes empty.
Likewise for weekdays.
I would suggest 48 will work well with fleet of 20 buses - 10 DDs, 10 SDs. Still a long way to go with the upgrades.

GAS can transfer 10 DDs to Bulim back and opt for 10 Citaros instead.
SG5409K (BN 225) on 48 today. According to BC, that's the only weekend dd from BN side but there's around 3-5 dd from AR side.
Suspect 985 got 1 SD to DD upgrade,Last Thursday and Friday saw 3 B9TL & 1 Enviro500 & 3 B9TL and 1 A95 cameo while i was at Lor 1.

Could be a case like 66 where more DDs are deployed only on weekends. No chance to observe the fleet to determine if those DDs slots are perm even on weekdays.
Yeah,Weekdays only 3 DDs...Maybe more DDs cater for Little India
