117 packed only for 2-3 trips only...More than justified SBST deploy 9 DDs & 4 SDs.
Should be 7 DDs & 6 SDs...

If people dun want DD then more bendies? Then LTA will say very road-space wasting.
851 always have potential for good loading because the route it serves and it is actually not very winding. Even evening as well - A22 reaching Yishun is fully seated with 3/4 standees.
I am sure if they put HC buses on 167/980 their loadings will improve too, but SMRT wont coz SMRT want to herd and chase more people to their godforsaken but money-spinning NSL.
Next year SBST will deploy 50-50 SD/DD for service 851.
985 should have 4 DDs,2 full day and 2 split shift.

They add 1 more AP DD or S DD?

Depends where you see. 117 loading is still poor between Sembawang and Khatib, but picks up quite nicely between Khatib - Yishun Ave 1 - SAP (70+ pax) during AM peak and Yishun - Khatib - Yishun Ave 1 (pm peak).
In SAP area, I agree, there are only 2-3 trips AM/PM that go full.

Convert 1 split SD to DD,Weekdays always have 4 DDs during peak hours
This is my opinion after joyrides on all of TTS/GAS bus routes.
Bus deployments Justified based on their average loadings
GAS 2:Maintain full DD
GAS 3:Should be 60% SD 40% DD
GAS 6:Should be 90% DD 10% SD
GAS 15,34,36,84,354,358,381,382 & 403 all maintain
GAS 17:Maintain
GAS 43:Should be 80% DD 20% SD
GAS 43M:50/50
GAS 62:80% DD 20% SD
GAS 82:80% SD 20% SD,Loading can reach to maximum once reach Nex
GAS 83:50/50
GAS 85:70% DD 30% SD
GAS 118:Maintain and should add buses and adjust timings for 118A
GAS 119:Can just deploy 2 split DD if there is really need to have DD
GAS 136:Can deploy 1 full and 1 split DD.
GAS 359 & 386:80% SD 20% DD
GAS 518:50/50
TTS 41:60% SD 40% DD
TTS 49:50/50
TTS 66:70% SD 30% DD
TTS 77:Should add 1 more bus
TTS 78 & 79:Maintain
TTS 96:60% SD 40% DD
TTS 97:50/50
TTS 97e:Maintain
TTS 98 & 98M:Maintain
TTS 106:80% DD 20% SD,Nowadays still see 6-7 SDs.
TTS 143:Maintain
TTS 143M:Full SD
TTS 183:60% DD 40% SD
TTS 282,284,333,335,941,947:Maintain
TTS 334:90% DD 10% SD,Seen a few DDs with so many SD loadings
TTS 945:If possible can deploy split DDs
TTS 990:Maintain
SMRT
Deployment should be
Full DD:169,180,190,856,964,969 & 972.
Majority DD:67,172,184,187,188,302,854,857,903,911,912,913,960
962,963,966,979,983 & 981.
Partial DD:61,176,851 & 965.
Minority DD:171,300,859,883,961 & 985.
Majority BD:301 & 900.
Partial BD:Nil
Minority BD:110 & 858
246 add 1 full day duty
Always see 6 B9TL & 2 KUB
Weekdays:5 AM-PM / 3 S
Saturdays:5 AM-PM / 1 S / 1 T
Sundays:5 AM-PM
163: 3-4 full day DDs today, add SBS3161A on 163M.
2 full day DDs for 163 today (SBS3161A and another ad-less WEG in Hanover EDS). Seems that there is a capacity upsize this weekend.
3:Need 1 more weekday DD,Saturdays need 3-4 DDs.
82:Need 2 peak hour DDs,Weekends can deploy 2 DDs due to its horrible frequency.
Peak hours easily get standees...Weekends loadings also jialat.
83:Need to reduce 3 DDs
85:Need to reduce 3 DDs
136:Need 3 peak hours DDs during weekdays,Weekends can deploy 2 DDs
No idea why they decided to touch 190's timetable.
190 seems to have quite a few buses added now, with at least 2 mins extra runtime for the expressway sector and I believe it's more than that. From my observations for the past few days, PM peak towards CCK overtaking game is now rare... Can't even easily take a 190 towards town with a 60kmh bus along the whole eway
184 cannot upgrade to DD because of slope problem at Hillview, not trees. so can only use Bendy. no wonder 184 is the last service not to be WAB at all and it will be using MAN A24s in the end.

Nonsense la,You think the Hillview slope is like Hong Kong slopes ah?
Any recent fleet downgrades to DTL3-parallel services?

no.
svc 972 downgrade with 1 rigid... no more full fleet
SMRT keep playing with services... make full fleet, then downgrade, then full fleet again. Seems like they needed the DD for some other service. ![]()

After Seletar, they got plenty of DDs to play around.
SURPRISE SURPRISE
svc 201 operating with near full fleet DD. Observed 7 DDs and 1 SD today on this service. Most of the loading was from West Coast to Clementi station, not DD worthy loading post that.

Maybe got more spare DDs and the SD fleet mostly go for maintenance. .7 DD and 1 SD for 201 is total absurd.
Capacity observations at Yishun (19/01) AM
* based on my spottings. There could be some differences that I haven't accounted for
800 - 2 DDs, 2 bendies, rest SDs
807 - 7 DDs, 2 bendies, 7 SDs (there could be 1-2 more)
883 - 4 DDs, 3 SDs (fleet add, and capacity upgrade??)
965 - 5 DDs spotted
965A - 3 DDs spotted (a total of 8 DDs on 965 today, could be even more?)
969 - DD, bendy, rigid pattern.... annoyingly there were 3 rigids back-to-back... all packed to door... wtf is SMRT doing with 969?

Still waiting for them to deploy full fleet DD/HC for both Sv965 and Sv969 daily..
