Based on prediction,
Service 137 would be launched in Nov/Dec
Service 500 might be launched in Dec if there are no delays. Major services are often introduced in the final month of each quarter.
@TIB 585L @hgdep103 eh, you all serious about the possible express bus between Jurong West and Sengkang, or kidding only? Got demand meh?
Actually, I got a dream before that there may be a new express bus between BL and SK, but that service is only a trial, with limited trips.

If it goes through City, then maybe. If not expect a full SD fleet for express bus.
But what's really needed is a bus service from Punggol to City. As of now, there is no such direct bus service, the nearest you can get is 62.

62 can be easily extended to MCT via Republic Ave.
Hi mr sbs6750E, service 62 should just stop at geylang lor 1 terminal or remain where it is now. No more extension to it. It is quite a lengthy route and you will not like the journey and its frequent stopping at its current route now. I have taken service 62 many times and the trips are very lethargic if you travel from Punggol beyond Hougang. If there is a need for a service to city, let the route go through some expressway as Punggol and sengkang are far off from town area. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr tib585L, good for sengkang residents for service 500. Express some more! Sengkang interchange expansion is catered for such new services. Not for the purpose of shifting of existing services. Means sengkang interchange extension will be opening end nov to December period. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs6750E, hooray. Most likely will go through sengkang west (anchorvale and fernvale side I guess). Cheers. Thanks.

Wah if 137 frm sims place, that roadside ter is gonna be busy haha

i believe the sengkang sector would be closely similar to 163 to increase catchment in sengkang instead of going to the newer flats that are not fully occupied. More likely a short trunk would be in place to cater for that sector

Hi mr hgdep103, even 163 route (in sengkang portion) is also very close to many new flats on the other side. Some nearby buangkok MRT plus some along sengkang east avenue. Service 500 will bring a lot of cheers to the residents in northeast especially sengkang. Just like rolling good times back to service 502 in its heydays. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr CZT, yes will be busy by the roadside. That area is quite deserted compared to other estates. Maybe that is a reason why another bus service from that area will not be much of a problem especially the route to Ubi is frankly very near. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr hgdep103, besides 137 and 500, what other service is there since you say that there are 2 feeders and 1 trunk? 883 is termed a trunk when introduced. Not feeder. Cheers. Thanks.

From BL to SK.. Hmm considering I live a distance away near JP the most likely route would be the 157/198 way after that PIE/CTE/MCE/KPE then to HG then SKG.
But Boon Lay seems short of berth though, so where are they going to find the space?

Hi mr SMB31X, adding a space in a berth is not difficult. They can always erect a boarding area for a berth anytime. To squeeze in 1 more bus service is easy. Cheers. Thanks.

at most use 174e lot... then 174/174e share 1
You mean like how 30 & 30e can merge and add 1 new loop service inside Bedok?
Could 500 be serving the mid-north areas instead?
Such as Sengkang --> SK West --> YCK --> BPJ --> CCK --> NTU --> JW --> Boon Lay?
Because there doesn't seem to be any point in it duplicating 502's sectors …
Looks like my svc 503 is turning into reality...
Most likely it's for NTU students living in SK & Seletar Airport workers living in JW. If want increase catchment, can make it serve NP/SIM.
