Good u ve info fr RM, but best official press release
LTA is good to do a bus carnival n engage bus fans on/with it, let's nt jeopardize e rapport.
Operators/Regulator r a bit sick of the infighting between bus fans, plenty of action prev on SMRT FB...
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:If 13 is amended it will cause quite some inconvenience as it is one of the only services from Marine Parade/Marine Terrace to Geylang Serai. In that case new service will have to originate at Sims Place to cover this missing link and cannot start from Eunos.
True, though one can argue that amenities in Geylang Serai, like Joo Chiat Complex/Geylang Serai Market are accessible from the Jln Turi bus stop. On the way back, you'd have to do a transfer outside Eunos MRT. One does also have the option of using the bus stop at Tanjong Katong Complex.
But I agree, people will be upset. Frankly, I hope this 150/137 or whatever number it is, if it's an MP service, serves Eunos Int > Jln Ubi > Changi Rd > Tg Katong Rd > Marine Parade > (onwards to somewhere else). Serves missing link between Parkway, Tanjong Katong Rd (before Dunman Rd junction) and Geylang Serai.
Route between Geylang and Ubi is long overdue la. Full support to this supposed new bus. Though, from my sources, Sims Pl only have 1 new svc.

Dun think sv134/137 will be out in March. Since sbs2652g say that no training have been done on the routes. While sv150 have already done its last familiarization.
So meaning svc 13 will terminate at Eunos instead?

Hi mr Gus.chong, singapore public transport definitely needs more bus services. Note population increase in 2011-2016 > population in last decade = more new bus services. Cannot just expect to stay stagnant. Need more buses to cope with more people around in singapore. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr lemon1974, hope out in March. LTA did say new bus services to eunos and marine parade in Q1 2016. Now is already Q1 going into March soon. Hope they don't always delay and delay. Cheers. Thanks.

They never say how many service mah. So 150 will link Eunos n marine parade? If 134/137 are launching in March then there should have started the route training.
Originally posted by SBS2652G:Sims Pl - Eunos - Ubi should be 137
Sims Pl - Marine Parade is 134
Explains Eunos and Marine Parade alr. However no training has begun for both services yet
What about 150?
I feel that 925 ought to run during Sundays and PHs,Im pretty confident that there is loadings.926 also can run full days.

Hi mr SBS2652G, oops. With sbs 117 amendment into west camp road, I think it is much better to take sbs 85 from Punggol directly or take sbs 82/83/136 to Punggol road to transfer to smrt 965. One will be pissed off taking sbs 117 around seletar aerospace and yishun ave 1 currently. Now adding west camp road soon. Cheers. Thanks.

I think it is worth it for the service to be diverted to West Camp Road as alternative to Svc 103.
Sorry Mr dupdup77, cannot please everyone but my opinion is that Svc 117 and Svc 85 serve different parts of Punggol. As such, one may argue that Svc 85 is faster to Punggol. (BTW, I currently prefer to take 117 back to Yishun rather than taking 85...)
Originally posted by SBS2652G:never hear before. I only got news regarding Hougang Depot side
Probably 150 BNDEP side given that it is Eunos service.

Strongly discourage 117 to go West Camp as it breezes through SAP currently. 103 is enough to cater to the load IMO.
What about 102 to East Camp? I couldn't see much development on the East Camp side + access road from Picadilly to East Camp not in place currently. 102 East Camp was a false rumor?

I took 117 to Punggol. If I would travel regularly, I would also prefer taking 117 to Punggol as the route is traffic free and pleasant. Even though there are many stops, most stops the bus just breezes through unlike 85 that takes a huge amount of time within Sengkang town.

Hi mr SBS9256X, understood. It is going to be different once sbs 117 is diverted to west camp road as the journey is going to be longer than current. Cheers. Thanks.

3. 102 East Camp possibly abolished, wait for more development
4. main objective of 117 is not to bring Punggol residents to Yishun, but to connect Punggol to Seletar Aerospace Park and the residents of Yishun Ave 1 to Khatib MRT
My comments on your points (just for healthy discussion).
To clear confusions:
1. 117 runtime will not be affected as timetable will be tightened after amendment (This is good move. I personally took bus yesterday and bus speed is slow. There is no traffic enroute 117 route and it can be completed faster. Maybe adding West Camp will give better loading to 117)
2. 103 currently faces bus after bus of fully packed buses. how is that enough? (Add more DDs to 103)
3. 102 East Camp possibly abolished, wait for more development (Makes sense because I could hardly see any development in East Camp area. With DD first seat I got whole view).
4. main objective of 117 is not to bring Punggol residents to Yishun, but to connect Punggol to Seletar Aerospace Park and the residents of Yishun Ave 1 to Khatib MRT (But developments are still under way, so from what I saw most was Yishun-Punggol and very few people boarded/alighted along Ave 1 or SAP. Also note my timing was PM peak, it was not an off-peak timing).

Hi mr SBS2652G,
1. Hard to say. Only after amendment, can see if really affected or not.
4. Understood about main objective when bus service is introduced in dec 2015. However, when passengers take the bus is actual scenario. This means that actual reality is people take from Punggol to yishun. So it deviates from objective.
Cheers. Thanks.
