New Bus Services Announced by LTA/PTOs (Part 2)

256 will have no service on Christmas Day.
127 will have reduced service on Christmas Day, terminating at Tampines Avenue 10 (Blk 741A).

anyway, seem like some buses are not connected to the CFMS system (maybe buses too new).. they are not captured in the bus arrival apps.. apps are showing buses with frequency of 35-40 mins...

pax loading, and on 119 for years when it doesn't deserve. And 117
for months with only 30 pax loading, this shouldn't come as a
surprise. 46, 83, 119 all don't deserve DDs but have so many. 28 deserves full fleet DDs but until now still have so many Citaros.

In the old Tampines interchange , services 18 & 39 have moved out.
What services have taken over their berths?Service 4? 20? 46? 127? Has anyone observed?

Imho,83 ideal fleet is 4 B9TL(2 split) and 4 Citaro,119 is 7 Citaro and 2 B9TL(School hours).

Still no news of Compassvale interchange opening. This delay has delayed sv 500, and in turn the adjustments to 171/700.

Reason why 4 and 20 still has no proper berth is coz of DTL3...
Due to construction works the alighting berth was closed off, and buses had to alight pax along the narrow makeshift shelter... This has caused severe delays and congestion in the area as less buses could alight at a time, and the way into the int is now damn cramped...
This is one of reasons why svcs that were relocated were all from the DTL side... i.e. 18 and 39...
When the works are complete and the alighting berth is back to normal I'm sure LTA will be more than eager to shift the svcs... And they should too...

By that interpretation, the introduction of 500 would partially mitigate problems from the amendments of 171/700, meaning it would either serve BPJ and Dairy Farm Rd or bridge the link between Orchard and Bt Timah Rd (btw Newton & Botanics) in some way ...?

1. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will expand Sengkang and Tampines Bus Interchanges to add parking bays for another 12 buses each, to support the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP). The expansions will also feature passenger boarding and alighting facilities, a concourse area, offices, a staff lounge and a canteen.
2. The expansion to Sengkang Bus Interchange will be built along Compassvale Road and linked to the existing Sengkang Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) via an existing covered linkway. The expansion is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2016. -

It was scheduled to complete and be operational by Q3 2015. However the construction was delayed and started in Q1 2016 and thd 2nd scheduled completion was Q3 2016.
The same goes for tampines concourse int. First announced in late 2014 and supposed to complete by Q4 2015. But only opened on 18 dec 2016. 1 yr delay. The message you give is the later info after they have realized they could not make it in the initial timeframe given. Cheers. Thanks.
