Will eat into svc 47's loading. I don't think there is demand for 2 services from Marine Parade to CBP. What is needed is service from Bedok North estate to CBP via Tanah Merah.

I agree because 190 already comes at a super awesome frequency + you have 975/985.
Suggestion for svc 197
Bedok Interchange
Chai Chee St
Chai Chee Rd
New Upper Changi Road
Changi Road
Still Road
Still Road South
Marine Parade Road
... continues to Jurong East.
* Provides new connection from Chai Chee Estate/Kembangan to Marine Parade NPC, Parkway Parade, Katong area.
* Will not affect existing commuters as svc 16/31/196 provide for alternatives from Marine Parade road to Bedok Interchange.
* Travel time between Parkway Parade and Bedok will approx. be the same with current change, hence no need for fleet add/reduction
* Overall loading on svc 31/196 will improve between Bedok and Marine Parade
* Don't see any negative effect of change. Thoughts?
Service 108:
Hougang -- Changi Business Park
Via: Hougang, Sengkang West (Anchorvale / Cheng Lim), Tampines East, Upp Changi, CBP

Probably some long distance travelling (e.g. from Marine Crescent area to Bugis / Chinatown, & vice versa) would be affected. Aside that, shouldn't have significant problems. Too bad Siglap Rd has (minor?) restrictions on DDs.

- - Route as a semi-companion of services 27 and 118.
- - Brief stopover at Tampines with minimal detour, for ease of bus service transfers at Tampines Ave 7, and also providing inter-town links for neighbourhood 4.
- - Links the upcoming Sengkang General Hospital with nearby residential areas not already served by 43/50/83/85/109/119/372, while maintaining route simplicity.
- - Provides new/alternative direct link to the TPE stop, alongside 27/88.
- - One-directional route length is about 22-23 km.
- (Initial idea was to extend to UEC, but that resulted in route being too long. Also splits the CBP boarding bus stops on two sides for 108 and 118, which is not ideal.)
There are way too many services between Hougang and Punggol TPE. I would rather extend svc 39 to CBP via Flora/Upper Changi. This will also connect nearby Pasir Ris town to Upper changi and CBP.
118 can continue to provide more direct from Punggol, Punggol TPE.
108 should be Hougang - Tampines Concourse, 27 should be Tampines - Changi Airport, 507 should be Sengkang - Changi Airport via PIE skipping Tampines.

Does Bedok North need a service to Tanah Merah & CBP?
If it's just along Bedok North Ave 3, then rerouting 228 (converted to trunk, possibly numbered 149) to start at CBP and loop at Kaki Bukit MRT / Ind estate would be an easy solution. If it's the interior (St 3), that'd be a bigger problem and probably need a new service.

Ah, but that would still result in the same state of having a Hougang -- TPE link, wouldn't it? Can't help it when Hougang / Sengkang are really big towns anyway, and I did mention that 108's other purpose is to link residential areas with Sengkang General Hospital.
108 can probably make a stopover at Tampines Concourse, but I really didn't want it to detour too much in Tampines so as to have a faster connection from CBP to Sengkang & Hougang, seeing that there is demand (courtesy of the premium services). If your purpose is to replace 27 - no comment.
39 can probably detour into CBP and/or UEC, but only if there is little to no demand at Tampines south.

122 should have been routed this way when introduced. At least will have better loading as Dawson Road is now left with no services after 32 amendment.

I would prefer this service to skip Tampines St 45 and use Ave 9/7.
St 45 is actually served well with 28 and 293. Ave 9 on the other hand only has 29 which has very high loading between St 45 and Ave 7, thus the existance of 29A.
BN to CBP? How about re-routing 45?
135 can be shortened to Sims Pl like current 125, the latter can extend to CBP by absorbing 47 and ply East Coast Rd in both directions. To ease the loss of 47 & 135 at Parkway Parade, 40 can be diverted to ply Marine Parade Rd. I believe I have spoken on this earlier. Maps can be found at Google and Routes.one.

Hi mr SMB5007J, at the timing 6.50am+, frequency is at an all time high of 2-6 min a bus. Good enough just to stay put at such super good frequencies. Cannot expect every 2 min a bus. Cheers. Thanks.
84 Transfer back to SBST start from Compassvale Int loop at Punggol Rd End using the two 6N bus stops outside Punggol Int.

Hi mr carbikebus, yes good one. Same like 82 previously make use of the two bus stops (along Punggol place) outside Punggol interchange. However take note, 6N only uses 1 of the bus stops as 6N is one directional only. The other stop totally has no bus services. Cheers. Thanks.

I prefer making changes to Route 31 instead.

Cannot. It will inconvenience commuters as it goes beyond Bedok. 197 has alternatives in 16/31/196. Same doesn't hold true for svc 31.

Marine Tce-City Hall/Chinatown commuters are my main concern here. The old Route 41 served them well before getting swallowed up by Route 197.

- HarbourFront might not have enough space, some routes have have to be moved to Bukit Merah (eg. 80)
Looks good, if cannot make space at HarbourFront Terminal then can consider extending the route on the other end to Marina Centre Terminal via Marina/Central Blvd, Bayfront Ave (and essentially follow svc 97 route to/fro MCT), and then loop at Telok Blangah Heights/Drive like what svc 124 used to do ...

If LTA were to plan something like that I think the svc would go the full length of Tampines Ave 9 (to provide better intra-town connection) and then Tampines Ave 10 (another way to get to IKEA/Giant and co. from other parts of Tampines) ... In the future this could even take a detour to better serve the town of Tampines North ...

Like your proposal for 152 - good one. Currently there is no good link between NEL and Marine Parade, except for 43 that is too winding. This routing will also help relieve some loading on svc 15 between Eunos Link and Marine Parade.
On your svc 500, you may want to review it again, as you seem to have missed a few roads and I am not clear how the bus goes to Punggol road again from Sengkang West Way. Take a look.
