Thank you. Glad you liked my route suggestions.
Our dear bus analyst has just given me ideas for Routes 14 and 198.
Clementi-Normanton covered by 166, Normanton-Bukit Merah has 197.
Even though i have a soft spot for Route 14 (as it was the only route in front of my house that had CRB due to BN minority control) i can live with such an amendment. i have Route 106 to Orchard and Suntec that plies a more direct route. my aim of extending Route 198 is to bridge the connection once provided by Route 92 (merged into Route 14) between Alexandra Village and Dhoby Ghaut. the resources for Route 111 can be redeployed to other routes in need of capacity.

Good suggestion, can replace the St 61 looping sector of svc 812. Affected pax along Yishun Ave 4 can either take 805 or walk to nearby bus stops to take extended 804.
Originally posted by array88:I'm worried about loading imbalance for 18. The 225 part will surely have super high loading but the rest of this route does not deserve a majority DDS fleet nor a robust frequency.
Can amend svc 18 at Bedok North and also at Tampines East, thus increasing loading more evenly throughout.
Bedok Int - Bedok North Ave 1 - St 3 - Ave 2 - Bedok North Rd - Bedok North Ave 3 (Bedok Reservoir MRT) - Bedok Reservoir Rd - Tampines Ave 1 (Tampines West MRT) - Tampines Ave 2 - St 32 - St 33 - St 34 - Ave 7 (Tampines East MRT) - Tampines Ctrl 1 - Tampines Concourse
This would connect Tampines St 33/34 to Tampines East MRT. For St 42/43/45, existing svc 293 can be amended to ply Tampines Ave 7/St 42 instead of Ave 9/St 42, and then split off as a separate bi-directional svc 294G/W, leaving svc 293 to serve the existing west loop only.
Svc 294W:
Tampines Int - Tampines Ave 7 - St 41 - Ave 9 - St 45 - Ave 7 (Tampines East MRT) - St 42 - St 43 - Ave 9 - St 41 - Ave 7 - Tampines Int
Svc 294G:
Tampines Int - Tampines Ave 7 - St 41 - Ave 9 - St 43 - St 42 - Ave 7 (Tampines East MRT) - St 45 - Ave 9 - St 41 - Ave 7 - Tampines Int
Pax at skipped stop along St 42 (Blk 459) can either walk directly to Tampines East MRT or take svc 29 from Ave 9 instead. There may be excess capacity along the common sector at St 41/Ave 9 with the G/W routes, but this routing gives it a more direct connection to Tampines East MRT.

Anyway don't forget the future Tampines North,Bidadari,Woodlands North,Marina South ITH..Tengah new town not sure got Interchange or not.But you know LTA with their suprise mah..
I predict Tampines North will be under Loyang and New Sengkang depot will take over Punggol and Sengkang/Compassvale.36 will be handed over to Tampines package aka East Coast depot.Bidadari will be under Kim Chuan.Marina south will be under Bt Merah,Woodlands North will be under Woodlands. If there is Tengah ITH then it will be under Bulim.

That would have been ideal but there is no way to get from Punggol East to Edgedale Plains without coming back to Punggol Dr. What you are proposing is basically a 386G/W going further down to Punggol East end.
Svc 3 ought to cut into halves..Morning sure late due to jams at Punggol East/Field/TPE & Loyang Ave..Short trunk from Tampines looping at St PSR Dr 10..

I am not sure dupdup will be happy with your proposal
Yishun feeder network
All routes remain same except svc 800 modified as follows:
Yishun Interchange >> Yishun Ave 5 >> Sembawang Road >> Yishun St 71 >> Yishun Ring Road >> Yishun Ave 5 >> Yishun Interchange
* svc 800 main loading today comes from Yishun Ring Road stops also covered by svc 804
* Will skip the long loop of Yishun Ave 7 & other part of Ring Road plied by svc 812 and 804
* 804 will become full fleet DD to cater to increase demand along Ring Road / ave 1 / ave 11. Those from ave 1/11 can go upper deck, those from ring road at lower deck.
* 800 will operate with 4 A22 and be a short feeder service to Sembawang Road stop (only served by 171) and st 73 (long loop with 800, now provide quick connection to Yishun MRT)
Thoughts?

Hi mr carbikebus, service 3 should not be cut into halves. The Punggol to pasir ris mrt connection is still much needed. It is also very popular currently. There is also the need to connect up to loyang point.
However I agree service 3 can be amended to skip st 71 and ply ave 1 directly once they introduce service 68 to cover pasir ris st 71 and go from pasir ris to tampines as the route you propose inside loading of buses. Cheers. Thanks.
All, this is my route suggestion to upcoming new feeder service 381 (Punggol int to Punggol east end) in Punggol.
Start: Punggol interchange (Punggol place)
-Punggol central (4 stops)
-Punggol east (1 stop)
-Punggol east end loop (2 stops)
-Punggol drive (3 stops)
-Punggol rd (1 stop)
-Punggol central (1 stop)
-Punggol interchange.
Very direct to Punggol east end. Short and sweet. No existing conflicts with current 386.
Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs6750E, loop service mah. Purposely go by Punggol central and not Punggol drive first so that people will not take the new 381 as a replacement for LRT from Punggol to damai, oasis, kadaloor LRT. If steal too much crowd from LRT, may make Journey to Punggol east end far longer. This will suit the relevant authorities opinion of not duplicating the LRT.
Give the residents inside Punggol east end a fast connection to the upcoming Punggol polyclinic polyclinic and oasis terraces mall next to oasis LRT. Cheers. Thanks.
While analyzing bus service 129 just now, I realise that perhaps a similar bus service can also be launched in the West, for Ngee Ann Poly and SIM University.
And I was right.
Managed to come up with a bus route between Kent Ridge Bus Terminal and Boon Lay Bus Interchange that looks similar to the route of bus 129.
Here's how the routing's like:
Kent Ridge Bus Terminal
Clementi Road
Pan Island Expressway
Jurong Town Hall Road
Boon Lay Way
Corporation Road
Jurong West Avenue 2
Jurong West Street 23 / 22
Jurong West Avenue 3
Jurong West Avenue 5
Jurong West Street 71
Jurong West Street 61
Jurong West Street 62
Jurong West Central 3
Boon Lay Bus Interchange
Length (to Boon Lay): 19km
Length (to Kent Ridge): 20km

In my humble opinion, too many services to Punggol central already. The new feeder should either go Punggol Field - Punggol East end to connect them to Punggol Plaza or Punggol Dr - Punggol East to connect them to Oasis upcoming mall/polyclinic. There is no amenities/facilities at Punggol Central, hence will not be a good choice.
