How about merging 97 with 133? Merged route will be jointly controlled by Bulim and Seletar packages. Tower Transit knows how it's done.

I don't think that would happen,Though BCM follow most of Perth style,But joint operation of two different operators is not possible.Beside both service has different catchment.

The only plausible way for 36 extension to Bukit Merah is to use 123's route (that is, if 123 is shortened to Tomlinson). Using Tanglin Rd will confirm duplicate 132, unless we're talking about Redhill-Dhoby Ghaut connection here (which isn't that important IMO).
Another option is using Grange Rd (the part with only 75) and River Valley Rd / Kim Seng Rd, but that's also quite winding.

Hi mr carbikebus, I think 123 RWS-Tomlinson road loop is not realistic. Currently 188R and 963R originate from CCK interchange and woodlands interchange to RWS respectively. Both services have a terminating point in the interchanges. However, your proposed 123 RWS-Tomlinson road loop does not have one. For them to initiate RWS as an official start off point needs to be discussed further as there will be some logistic issues. Cheers. Thanks.

Firstly, 123 shortening to Tomlinson is not likely. Ideally it will be a good idea, if they have a resting area for BCs at RWS. 123 DDs will be better utilized if it is shortened to Tomlinson as the loading between Orchard and BMR is strictly SD seating loading around 30-40 pax.
36 will extend to BMR via svc 123 route as you cannot delete the Orchard-Queensway link. This will give 36 a logical end point on one side.
