  I would suggest that Sve 171 terminate at Bukit Batok Interchange coz there are still loading at night along Upp Bukit Timah Road sector.

  I think it's nearly the same as the current length, but with shorter running time because of plying 3 expressways, and provide direct link from Yishun to Boon Lay. It's only downside is that svc 180 and 172's demand will be decreased for those who take it for direct link between these two towns.

  Indeed. There should be at least one feeder-frequency service at BB west, in addition to inter-town services to CCK / BPJ / JE.

  Going all the way via Beauty World makes it too winding. There's also 157 / 178 / 852 that cover parts of that route already.

  If the Beauty World sector must be retained on 171, I suggest merging it with 41. Can let SMRT operate the new route, then let TT take over 944. (Though not sure if it will still be part of BSEP)

  I remember when 102 was introduced, people were saying that it will be extended to Seletar Camp East in a few months. Not sure why it's still not extended by now...

  Preliminary ideas for extension of 71

   

  IMO 71's usefulness will be very limited and definitely not DD-worthy, so an extension seems necessary to me.

   

  Plan A: Express to city from Bishan St 11 / Braddell Rd, via CTE

  - Preferably passing through areas in city not served by NSL/TEL, e.g. Little India, Bugis, Suntec, Chinatown

  - Offers direct link to city for AMK Ave 4/1 and Bishan residents

   

  Plan B: Extension to Compassvale or Punggol from YCK Rd

  - Preferably via Fernvale St / Anchorvale St

  - Supplements 50 and 163, providing additional connection between Sengkang and AMK

  - Offers direct link for YCK Rd workers living in inner parts of AMK town

  - Limitation: Too much duplication
