Actually can 902 be extended to somewhere else and serve other residents/workers? Is the industrial park ahead possible?

Loading to tpy still okay as people still travel from Serangoon garden to tpy
Not very sure (so sorry if it's wrong) but iirc 858 in the past used to go via Admiralty MRT rite? To reduce the winding around Woodlands and Sembawang, how about 858 is amended this way:
Woodlands Interchange
Woodlands Avenue 7
Gambas Avenue
Usual Route to Airport and use amended route back
This way, travelling time is reduced by a good 15mins at least! Bunching would be less prone to occur too. However, I recognise that 858 is the only service (apart from perhaps AC7) serving areas such as along Woodlands Ave 10, 1 par on Sembawang Way and again on Woodlands Ave 4. As such, amendments will have to be made to existing services in order to not lose these connections. This can be done as such:
Service 900/A (amended)
Woodlands Interchange
Woodlands Ave 7
Woodlands St 83
Woodlands Ave 4
Usual route to Woodlands Dr 14/Champions Way and use amended route back
Service 902 (amended, convert to full day)
Woodlands Interchange
Woodlands Ave 2
Woodlands Ave 9
Gambas Ave
Woodlands Ave 7 (Admiralty Stn)
Woodlands Dr 71
Woodlands Ring Rd
Woodlands Dr 63
Woodlands Ave 6
Woodlands Ave 7 and use amended route back
Service 980
Sembawang Interchange
Sembawang Vista
Canberra Rd
Admiralty Dr
Sembawang Way
Sembawang Dr
Usual route to Geylang Lor 1 and use amended route back
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Pros:
- (858) Reduced travelling time by abt 15mins and less bunching, making svc more reliable
- (900) Helps to cover lost sector of 858, possibly reduce loading slightly on 911
- (902) Provides Gambas area with a feeder svc connecting them to nearby Admiralty MRT, replaces lost sectors of 858
- (980) Provides Admiralty Dr residents with a new, faster option to get to Sembawang MRT, replaces lost sectors of 858
Cons:
- (858) Removes diect connections to Airport for residents along deleted sectors
Solution: Use amended services and MRT to get to Yishun to continue on 858, since 858 is still a preferred option from North to Airport and it is fast
- (900) 3mins +- detour, pax along later part of route may find 900 a bit winding
Solution: 900 provides unique connections to those areas along it's route, so pax will still use 900 to get to their destinations. The detour is also considered minor, so it should not be too much of a problem
- (902) Duplicates 169 entirely up till Woodlands Ave 9
Solution: (can't think of any, still needs to use this Rd in one way or another)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Making this many route amendments for 1 service may not be worthwhile unless the demand for this change is strong enough. Considering the different factors, what do you guys think about this?

so this amended route of 858 duplicate 969 all the way till TPE.
You can just make it simple like this:
968 (Woodlands to Yishun)
*follow exact 858 route to Yishun
858 (SEM to CGA)
Via
Canberra Estate
Yishun Ave 2
Follow 858 route to CGA
I am actually looking forward for the implementation of 271 which is really good
Ooh ok I understand. Yea it would be better, thanks :)
i want to propose amending the route for 32 for additional connectivity beteeen Commonwealth Ave and Holland Road, presently this is served by 970, ftequency running at 17min or worse.
For bus32, instead Commonwealth Ave, Holland Drive , BV terminal, amend it to:
Commonwealth Ave, Holland Ave/Road/Drive, BV terminal.
Bus970 frequency is very bad. And there is another 145 that ply direct from Commonwealth Ave to Holland Drive. Thus my propose change will have very little impact to existing commuters.

Okay. Point noted. 970 frequency can be improved if there's a demand. Thanks for the suggestion.

970 is not really a popular route but it served an essential link beteen Commonwealth Ave MRT and Holland Ave/Road. 970 demand is only at it peak during evening peak hours for residents making train/bus transfer from Commonwealth MRT to BV estate.
Increase 970 frequency outside evening peak hours is not my intent. But by amending existing 32 or 145, even if it is just for evening peak in direction to bv terminal, it can greatly lessen the agony for train/bus transfer for many BV residents. More will benefit and only few will be impacted by a slighly longer traveling distance.
there are even commuters making the extra efforts, waiting for bus61 at the busstop after Commonwealth MRT. with trains running at 2 or 3 minutes intervals, commuters now are more demanding.
Probably another featherweight suggestion:
Queen St -- Tomlinson Rd (loop)
To complement service 65, for DTL3 travellers who would prefer a faster route to Orchard. Seeing that there is neither paid link nor free transfer option between Bencoolen and Bras Basah stations.

I think 122 can do the job much better since it's already a loop service. Just make it skip Commonwealth Dr and loop at Holland Ave/Rd/Dr. Can even loop at North Buona Vista Rd where there's no bus service.

This route has potential to be extended further or even become a semi-express service (to Sengkang/Punggol, etc). Current route is too short and will probably have poor loading.

122 can be extended to loop at Holland Village, 95-style.
Any incentive to extend 129 to Pasir Ris? Via Tampines Ave 12 / Pasir Ris Dr 8?
