- Additional and alternative direct link between the East, Centre and West of Singapore.
- Skips Pasir Panjang Road, while extended to serve Teban Gardens and Taman Jurong in addition to stops at Haw Par Villa, Mapletree Biz City and HarbourFront.
- Serves pair of bus stops in CBD along Anson Road/Shenton Way for transfer to bus services into the City before continuing onto Straits Blvd/MCE.
To many commuters in the east, the attactiveness of 30e was the express sector between Fort Rd and VivoCity. If you want to add a pair of bus stops along Anson Road/Shenton Way, you should do it to trunk route 30 and leave 30e alone, so that you can attract more time-conscious commuters to 30e.
I support the extension of 30e to Boon Lay. The Jurong area lacks a fast bus service to southern/eastern Singapore. Although Jurong has 502, I don't consider 502 as an express service (from a Jurong West resident's perspective) because of the super long travelling time between Soon Lee/Pioneer and Toh Guan Rd.
Express Service 508 from Punggol to Kampong Bahru Terminal once it opens, enhancing connectivity between Punggol/Sengkang and Novena/CBD/Orchard districts.
- Parallel service to NEL, acts as a shuttle between Punggol/Sengkang MRT stations to Dhoby Ghaut/Outram stations via CTE
- Serves a new pair of bus stops along Fernvale Rd and plies Maxwell Rd towards Kampong Bahru.
- Operates full-day, charging express fare
- Can possibly be under Bukit Merah package if Loyang Depot is already operating at full capacity after the introduction of 12e and 68.
Yishun - Sembawang Bus Enhancement
860
Objective: Reduce duplication with 807 and provide more intra-town connectivity within Yishun town. Highlighted in red are the amenities along the way to provide better connectivity.
Sembawang Interchange (Sun Plaza, MRT)>> Sembawang Dr >> Sembawang Ave >> Sembawang Road (Sembawang Shopping Center)>> Yishun Ave 7 (Ahmed Ibrahim School, Yishun Industrial estate)>> Yishun Ave 8 (new bus stop to cater to expanded industrial estate along ave 8)>> Yishun Ave 9 >> Yishun Ave 6 >> Yishun St 31 >> Yishun Ring Road (Hawker center, Northbrooks school)>> Yishun Ave 4 (Wisteria mall, Northland school)>> Yishun Central (KTPH, Yishun community hospital)>> Yishun Ave 3 (Yishun swimming complex, Junior college) & continues on current route to YCK.
Full SD fleet is okay.
802
Objective: 812 is removed and west loop is converted into feeder service 802, with no change to routing.
812
Eliminated and substituted by 859/883
883
Objective: Extended to loop at Yishun Ave 4 to substitute Yishun MRT connection for st 61 and provide alternative to 805 to Yishun, given that 805 will soon be packed to door from ave 1/st 41. DDs on 883 will get well utilized between ave 4 and Yishun MRT.
Sembawang Interchange >> ... >> Yishun Community Hospital >> Yishun St 61 >> Yishun Ring Road (new bus stop for transfer with 807) >> Yishun Ave 4 >> Yishun Central >> Opp Yishun Community Hospital >> .... back to current route
859
Objective: Extend to loop at Yishun Ave 4 to substitute missing link of 812 between Yishun Central, SAFRA and st 61/ave 4. Also provides direct connection to estate to Chong Pang.
Sembawang Interchange >> .... >> Yishun Ave 5 >> Yishun Central >> Yishun st 61 >> Yishun Ring Road (new bus stop for transfer with 807) >> Yishun Ave 4 >> Yishun Central (will stop outside Yishun interchange, same stop as 811 towards Khatib) >> Yishun Ave 5 .... >> Sembawang Interchange.
806
Objective: Connect new BTOs along st 42. Will skip bus stop along st 31 (alternative: 803 to Yishun, 860 to Ring road hawker center & beyond) and 3 stops along ring road (alternative: 804, 807, 860). This change will also provide faster access for Yishun Ave 11 to MRT in AM, while preserving 804 to ring road. With the change to st 42, the DDs on 806 will get well utilized again, as most people on ring road today prefer to take 807 to Khatib or 807/860 to Yishun MRT. Hence, AM loading on 806 has dropped significantly.
Yishun Interchange >> Yishun Central >> Yishun Ave 11 >> Yishun Ave 6 >> Yishun St 42 (2 new bus stops) >> Yishun Ave 6 >> Yishun Ave 11 >> Yishun Central >> Yishun Interchange
117/169
Will call at new pair of bus stops along Canberra Link outside Eastlace BTO and Brownstone condo.
965/969
Will call at new pair of bus stop along Gambas Ave for direct Yishun/Admiralty MRT link for new commercial developments. A new route will be proposed as part of Woodlands-Sembawang enhancement in future to connect to Woodlands South and Sembawang MRT.
Your comments/suggestions are welcome on my above proposal for Yishun/Sembawang.

Loyang depot will be free up once SMRT Mandai Depot is completed by next year.
857E
Yishun Interchange >> Yishun Central 1 >> Yishun Ave 2 (last bus stop to call is Yishun Sports club, before Ave 1) >> Lentor ave (exp) >> SLE/CTE (exp) >> PIE >> Bendemeer Road >> Jalan Besar >> Bencoolen St & back via Selgie Road...
** skips Lentor & YCK Road, providing faster connection between city & Yishun
** Does not go all the way to Suntec, as this is non-express sector and most people from Yishun will alight along PIE/Bendemeer/Jalan Besar
** Many times in AM, people are not able to board 857 at Khatib as it is crowded with workers to YCK Industrial estate, post which bus has lower loading.
** Good alternative to NSL >> DTL3 for Little India.

I approve of this, improves the application of 973 and direct bus connection btw Bt Batok and Bt Panjang, improves connections to DTL stations too
There is a need for a bus terminal in Yishun..The new interchange cannot take anymore new service

The new bus terminal will be at Canberra.

Need to expedite terminal at Woodlands North. This will provide some relief to Woodlands Interchange. Sembawang Interchange also has scope for expansion.

What Hillview Dr? If you mean Hillview Ave, then the link between Bt Batok and Hume Ave is lost (and buses cannot turn right from UBT Rd into Hume Ave).
Shortened 173 will also duplicate 176/963 too much to be of any use.

Too long with no significant demand. An express link between Bt Panjang and Ang Mo Kio is enough.

Was about to say it's good to finally have a service along the entire AMK Ave 5 - Buangkok Green - Sengkang East Rd corridor... Until I realized there's 159 in close proximity.
Although an additional service between Sengkang/Punggol and AMK/YCK could be beneficial, I don't think it should duplicate 50 or 159 too much.
BCM Route package: Sengkang-Hougang

Quite a good one as would be faster than 74/147 to west and help service 180 between boon lay and Chinese garden
1 question: express fares or nah?

Maybe we can add a stop along Upp Bt Timah Rd and Jln Jurong Kechil on the eastbound route and a stop along Jln Anak Bt on the westbound route, so as to allow transfer to/from 52 and 985, as well as connection between Jurong area and Beauty World MRT.
Service 15M: Pasir Ris - Eunos Int
- Full fleet or majority DDs
- Improves frequency for this heavily utilized sector as the full route cannot use DDs
- Svc 15 full route continues running at slightly reduced frequency to maintain connection between MP/Telok Kurau and Kaki Bukit
- Telok Kurau still served by 15, 150, 155
Hi Good morning, trying to find shorter travelling via public/private bus from senja road to joon koon interchange. Since there is a new exit from Senja to KJE, shouldn't there be a direct bus from Senja to Boon Lay Interchange which I am sure will help cut down the travelling time via train .
