Problem is cost,Unlike TTS which get 556m for 26 svc and GAS only 497.8m plus another sum to run 381..GAS got excess DD but shortage of SD.
In the first place LTA should kapo 30 GAS B9TL for SMRT and give those SG Enviro500 to GAS instead.

Its for smrt for sure. More of the retirement of O405Gs coming up. They need replacements urgently and those 15 batch 2 e500 are just not enough to cover the slots of retiring bendies alone.
