By the fact that the bus loops at Buangkok Link instead of Buangkok Crescent, it may be an indication that the route may be extended in future.
From Buangkok Link, the route can go two ways – to Buangkok or Yio Chu Kang – as the future extension of Buangkok Drive would connect Buangkok Green to Yio Chu Kang Road via Buangkok Link.
Considering the route from Serangoon to Buangkok is only 8 kilometres, either way is possible as an extension to Yio Chu Kang bus interchange or Buangkok bus interchange would not make the route excessively long for trunk bus service 101.
We should consider all options carefully before making a decision as an extension of bus service 101 could potentially enhance the overall public transport connectivity in the North-Eastern part of Singapore.
This seems like a valid point... Explains why 101 makes a U-turn at Buangkok Link instead of Buangkok Cres. But again, 101 could have plied Buangkok Cres in both directions and then use Buangkok Dr extension to Buangkok MRT in future

Connects to Buangkok MRT, Hougang Green, Rivervale Mall and Compass 1.
Wouldnt that be better?
compassvale now only have 374 lol
Or even better yet... 104 uses the current 329's route extended to Compassvale, so it does Buangkok Crescent/link in both directions using Red/White plates at Buangkok Link.... This way the Buangkok BTO residents will have access to 3 MRT stations and the malls you mentioned + complements 101 to Hougang Mall.

Compassvale Int?Can shift 156,159 and the new svc to join 374.Afterall its just an extension of Sengkang Int.

Hi mr TIB585L, hougang int is not full. It is already expanded and can load in another 5 BSEP bus services if required. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr carbikebus, not I recommend. Maximum 5 services. Sooner or later, it will come 1 by 1. Maybe years later. When they have additional parking lots (2 lots for 1 serivice), it is already inside their plans. You and I are powerless to change it. Cheers. Thanks.

Hopefully they learned their mistakes..How can active feeder or trunk svc have only 2 lots? With more short distance trunk,2 definitely not enough.
27:At least 3 lots
51:2 lots since its a long distance trunk
74/74e:2 lots
89/89e:3 lots
102:2 lots
107/107M:2 lots
112,113,116:2 lots each?
132:2 lots
147:3 lots minimum
151/151e:2 lots
153:2 lots
161:3 lots
165:2 lots
324,325,329:2 lots each?

Rest assured some of the service will extend to Buangkok once the ITH is ready.
BTW,4 of current PGL svc will be shifting to the 2 new boarding berth when its ready by this month along with 12 additional parking lots..LTA already monitored how bad the parking issues can get so that they think twice to introduce more service
Originally posted by SBS3004X:Yes, I agree with the part about linking to Buangkok and Serangoon MRTs. I have suggested a modified 43M that enters Buangkok Link/Cres several times here.
LTA route planners should really be sacked for this lazy planning. 2 services both linking to the 2nd nearest MRT won't be able to serve every resident there! As someone posted on LTA Facebook, they can't expect residents from Tropica (which is all the way inside at Buangkok Dr, opposite Sengkang MRT/LRT depot) to walk all the way out to Buangkok Green just to take 43 to the nearest MRT! Might as well just walk straight to Buangkok MRT! I'm 99% sure those fuckers don't take public transport, which explains their ignorance!
This new feeder isn't redundant though, it links to key facilities in Hougang, and Hougang Town Centre. The problem is the lack of connection to the nearest MRT station Buangkok, and there being only 1 service (no one will take 101 anymore to Hougang MRT with 329 now)
I have to say that I absolutely agree with what you and BusAnalyzer are saying for bus 329. I certainly hope and pray that this will not be the only service serving Buangkok crescent, I can't imagine the horror of taking such a winding route all the way to Hougang MRT when Buangkok is so much nearer... will writing in to any of the authorities help in any case? Gosh..
For the bus service 137 there are no any news on the bus service and service providers to changi airport there are some training route from the area of ubi jalan eunos bedok south rd ecp and terminal 4 return

Are you sure it's Terminal 4? It would be funny if 137 only loops at T4 and other airport services continue to loop at T1/2/3 only...

I would prefer that rather than all bus services looping at all 4 terminals.
34 and 137 can do Terminal 4. People can transfer at Airport Boulevard.
Is anyone going to T4 open hse to see where the bus terminal is?
Originally posted by SMB1368T:Is anyone going to T4 open hse to see where the bus terminal is?
Is there a bus terminal? I think maybe only a pair of bus stops.
Idk. I cannot go inside cos its already fully booked. Btw there would be shuttle buses from T2 to T4 and vice versa once T4 opens

A pair of bus stops for a new service?
All, seems like there will be enhanced services or even new bus services at punggol walk/Punggol place after residents feedback to MP and MP will talk to LTA. Reported in MP facebook that the roads are narrow dead end roads. Look forward to good news soon. Cheers. Thanks.
The message is on Ms Sun Xueling's facebook page.
"Just to follow through that I met with a LTA representative tonight to share feedback from residents on issues regarding availability of buses in the Punggol Walk and Punggol Place areas due to the narrow dead end roads. He said LTA will conduct feasibility studies and he will revert to me. I will explore all possible options with LTA to assist residents in these areas. Pls be patient with me and rest assured that I am looking into it." - Sun Xueling
What to do, besides launching two short feeders from Punggol Bus Interchange?
Anyway, the distance is rather short. So, even if run at feeder frequency, also won't require so many buses.
Likewise for Compassvale Crescent, where the MP is Mr Teo Ser Luck.
Probably another route like the current 386.
