There are already a few versions of "66e", such as 506 (express between Bedok Reservoir/Jalan Eunos and Bukit Batok), 985 (express between Bendemeer/Serangoon Rd and Jln Jurong Kechil/Bukit Batok), and 151/154 (semi-express between MacPherson and Bukit Timah).

Anyway this will be my last ever post on this bus forum. I am leaving this hobby. I have decided to move on other things I am much interested now. It was nice getting to know what is going on here, but now my time is up. Its time for me to do something I love more in life. Till then, so long everyone
All these services are long overdue. They need more standalone ones from e.g Boon Lay - Punggol , Ang mo kio , Yishun , Pasir ris
There's no direct express bus leading there from the jurong west/east area/boon lay.
So annoying that you have to take the train only to get to these areas. Im sure theres demand for such services

Imo a Boon Lay - Punggol service may be popular, especially for those working at JIS or NTU students who live in Punggol/Sengkang.
I have a couple of NTU friends who live in Punggol complaining that there's no direct bus service to Jurong area from Punggol/Sengkang and getting to NTU is a hassle because of the multiple transfers they have to make (LRT/Bus > NEL > CCL > EWL > 179/199). (Shuttle bus is only one way though and is only in the morning).
A while ago people were speculating here that there will be an express service 500 from Compassvale to Boon Lay, but it failed to materialize.

IIRC the rumoured Express 500 goes into CBD before heading towards Boon Lay, so it's probably not meant for west-northeast commuters...

If Bukit Batok i would recommend 106e,If Jurong East i would love to see 143e.
There will be suprise again...something like 110 and 944 case...odd

Sooner or later will use DD,Good for those living in BPJ/CCK working at Jurong factory
idk if this resembles a game by LTA. SMRT first received their new BCM route 110, then today we see SBS and GAS with their new 147e and 12e respectively, so since TT doesnt have one more new service, they like TT operate 974. HAHA, so now the cycle is complete, the next one prolly give SMRT ahahaha.
Jokes aside, whats with all these alienation of the bus routes from their central catchment?

Would be better if they had extended 258 to Bukit Panjang via this route, between Jurong West Street 64 and Bukit Panjang Temporary Bus Park.

974 took over the old 258 route from Benoi Road to Jurong West Street 63, whereas it also took over 192 route to Boon Lay Interchange. 974 will likely use Berth B1.
Joo koon recieving bus routes out of joo koon is way delayed. Finally ...

The kind of good services that we haven't really seen in a while...

Then 258 would be too winding for CCK and BPJ residents heading towards Joo Koon, which defeats the purpose...
Originally posted by SMB315C:It is a Joo Koon Int - Bukit Panjang Road loop bus service..
Thought its the other way round else they be using smaller number not 974 which originated from BPJ.

If LTA can have 157 extend to joo koon interchange.
Many ppl boarded 12e mistaking it for 12... many conflicts between BCs and passengers... Only selected few buses had guides
12e full fleet Wrights
on the other hand...
147e BCs ensured every single passenger was informed of the different routing/fares... also all buses filled with the service guides
On the other hand 147e had a full fleet of 4 MAN A95s ![]()

256 was replaced by 974.
No way can they take any more bus routes.
Or demolish the entire carpark and build multi-storey bus interchange too :)
974 will be Bt Panjang Bus Park to Joo Koon Int
I got a feeling that TTS will get 7-8 units of A95 and the 2 Citaro for service 974,else where can they find enough buses since they're shortage of buses too.
