For how many years then say no good?

For some stretch

167 and 980 covers all of Thomson and Upper Thomson Roads but frequncy sux.
855 does not cover Thomson Road at all

855 got serve 1 bus stop at Thomson Rd.
After 851 & 852 kena kapo by SBST,I'm pretty sure they will increase frequency and put DDs on 167 & 980.
I think more than monopoly service level is important. I am sure SBS will do a better job with 851. 852 loading sucks so nothing to say about it. Easily SMRT could have added DDs to 167 also but hasn't. With Springleaf MRT in future, the loading on 167/980 from Sembawang road to Springleaf is bound to double.
I only spotted 167/980 using bendies occasionally. Esp for the latter at sundays and public holidays..more a24s ans somtimes the classic O405Gs as well too.
I thought 167 do have DD cameo during peak hours
Meh. All I ever see are always 966 crossover buses during those hours

By the time we see full DDs on 167, it won't be SMRT or SBST but GAS.

By that time its already 2020.
no SBST logo on SG5835 as of yesterday.. still parking at lay up corner...

Will some Toa payoh bus get the man DDs other than that 12.5 meter TT man

Unless SBST takes more than 70 units

There is no way LTA can persuade GAS to take MAN unless LTA request to storage more B9TL from them for bendy replacement
This possibility cant be written off yet as likely LTA might request more excess B9TLs from GAS to be transferred to SMRT. I suppose any SD bus model has a lower maintenance cost compared to any DD model isnt it? So if this happens small numbers of A22 can be an indirect replacement of the stroage bound B9TLs. I think.
SG5835M doing training with few SBST BCs on board at YCK Ter

Maybe it is for the new YCK-BSH route.
SMRT,TTS & now SBST all have MAN buses in their fleet except for this Go-Ahead still using breakdown-prone Citaros and worn out B9TLs😂

If this happens then its miracle...LTA can request to storage 10 B9TL and a few Citaros as well...
And if they can take A22 might as well take in a few A95,All same engine parts..
Wah this year its really the year of SMRT & SBST,Newer buses,3 doors buses..
GAS still with the pathetic Citaro and B9TL and i think SG5999Z also will go to either SBST or SMRT when the trial ended in September
This shows that MAN buses are very reliable and useful. All thanks to Smrt introduction.
A22,A24 and A95 all having the same engine model.
